• What are the consequences of the NTP servers configuration in EBIPA to Interconnect bays?

  I want my VirtualConnect devices in a c7000 G3 case addresses EBIPA to install.

  I see a difference against the parameters of EBIPA for peripheral bays: settings in the EBIPA bays to interconnect, you have the option to add NTP servers.

  I don't directly know what this PIN connects to.  Following the trace, that looks like it is connected to the mass of the chassis as the 2503 itself does not have a grounding pin.  I have this will confirm for you, but is there a specific reason for your application need you to do this?

  I just installed a network PLTS200/PLTE200 and I have a problem to get the PowerLine utility detect the PLTS200 connected locally on my computer. The connection between the two adapters work. Of course the utility cannot detect or the remote PLTE200, but I think it should detect that local first before being able to detect the distance.

  What is the solution?

  I found the solution! HomePlug broadcasts FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF with the Ethernet 0x887B type. If you want that your HomePlug devices to detect, this traffic should be allowed in both directions in and out. I am personally using a PC-Tools Firewall and this traffic was not permitted by default.

  Can a second router (or access point) connected to a network like the PLTS200 Powerline adapter, to be used as a Repeater for wireless devices?

  Of course, it works. I plugged in a ple300 wrt160n router. works very well.

  I have a dlink dgl4500 as a main router connected to my adapter dsl modem and wired plk300 on one end of the House and a wrt160n router that is connected to the other wired adapter to the other end of the House. works great even if configuring the wrt160n took time.

  You cannot change the web interface on the side of LAN port. All you can do is disable/enable http and https, which means using the port 80 (http) or port 443 (https). You cannot change the ports.

  I need help. I need to configure port-channel of CF between 2 x 9148 MDS and 2 x Cisco fabric interconnects. My main problem here is interfaces CF appear not on the fabric of interconnections (UCS Manager). I don't see ethernet ports. I have to turn on the unified ports or do I license for CF?

  I also connected the ds-sfp-fc8g-sw FPS but I get the error "operation status failed, reason: SFP Validation failed.

  Another thing, all 48 FC ports on switches DMS 9148 acquire the license. Aren't they supposed to come with 16 ports enabled by default?

  Any ideas?

  6248 FI unified ports, by default, all are Ethernet; so as a first step, you must configure the FC ports.

  You just need Ethernet port licenses, which are also universal.

  can we use a 6120 as a FC switch interconnection, so do the CF normal zoning stuff and connect directly to some CF storage to the FC expansion ports, or do we need run the interconnection in NPV mode and connect it to a switch taking NPIV.

  If my memory is good, you will need to use the VAN.  Direct attach storage support comes in v1.4, which is due to be released in January.

  We decided to use another IP range and I was wondering if I need to do some sort of clear the config or do I go through the installation of transitional upward through the console and change IP addresses?  The original range of subnet 'management' that we were going to use is not available, so I never had with the VIP address.

  Certainlu you can change the IP without having to clear the system.  Remember that it is only a change of plan, not data management, you can do this without disrupting the traffic from your server.

  Here's how I suggest you do:

  1. connect to the Console of each FI with the admin account.

  2. find what FI's secondary by issuing:

  view the status of the cluster

  3. the issue of session from console secondary FI:

  fabric-interconnection of scope [a / b].

  4. set the new IP settings with:

  the value of subnet mask ip out-of-band [address-IP-New] [New-Netmak] gw [New-Bridge]

  buffer validation

  * Note: If the subnet mask and the gateway are not change, you can omit them in the above command.

  * At this point, you should be able to ping the new IP addresses assuming management upstream interface are configured correctly and assigned to the VLAN correct

  5. Repeat for the main fabric connect to the console session.

  6. set the new VIP by launching:

  staff system

  game virtual-ip x.x.x.x

  buffer validation

  7. test the connectivity with each IP & VIP address.

  8. If you have any questions, you should be able to use the console session to correct all errors with no disruption to service other than access UCSM.

  I have a problem with the Port Uplink channel between fabric interconnect with N7K using vPC

  It's my network for the UCS deployment topology

  

  N7K I configured vPC for red link and green linkto the fabric Interconnect A I has configured the Port-Channel with Member is Port 1 and Port 2, uplink is red link. Interconnection fabric B, I have configured the Port-Channel with Member's Port 1 and Port 2, uplink's green link.

  The interface port-channel on N7K show is good, each port-channel upwards and have all members. But the fabric Interconnnect, when I see in the UCS Manager, the status of the Port-Channel on Fabic A and fabric B dysfunction not more info: no operational Member. Although all the link is a link to the top and I've got the status of the Port Channel is enabled in the UCS Manager. When I see the properties Port 1, Port to Port-Channel 2, I see the number of members status is: individual. This means channel port is not up and no member in this configuration. I want to using the port-channel load balance and more bandwidth for the uplink of 20Gig. I don't understand why?

  Please help me solve this problem, I have to send the screenshot of UCS Manager when I show the status of the Port-Channel and Port-member in port-channel to reach items.

  Can someone help me solve this problem, thanks a lot. References, please include elements for more details on the fault.

  But there is NO need to be set to 4. As mentioned, the chassis discovery policy determines what is the minimum number of links for a frame be discovered/usable. See you to have it set to 2, it is very good and you can keep it this way.

  The fact that you have only 3 cables from IOM to the interconnection of fabric, this is not a valid configuration, because only 1, 2 or 4 links are taken care of. You must increase the number of cable to 4 and then re - emphasize the chassis to activate the additional links.

• No link between IOM port 2/2/3 and fabric B interconnection

  I am removing an uplink of the IOM to the fabric of interconnection in accordance with its not.  I tried to reset the module e/s and re - emphasize the chassis with no luck, it is still displayed in the GUI with the error message as in the subject.  We are running 2.0(1s).  The kit is not yet in production.

• License cluster interconnect

  Do you need to buy ports for both the subordinate and the interconnections of active tissue? I assumed it would be one license per cluster pair. After you apply a new license on a primary port of FI, I could download the same license for the subordinate, but it does not show the downloaded license file tab and the corresponding port is still without a permit.

  Yes, a permit on each FI is necessary because they are not shared in a cluster.
