  I just bought a HP laptop Pavilion with this Home Premium French Edition, Windows7 in France.

  I would like to have the operating system in the English language. Please note that it already came with the MUI and LIP pack but despite my efforts to try to have the OP converted into English, it just does not change :-(

  In addition, note that this is an a key QWERTY Board. I can deal with him, but I really wish to have OP in English so I can understand its additional features...

  I've already selected English in my lap top Pack MUI that is came up with, as I said it remains in French despite my several attempts. I have a Premium Home Edition NOT an Ultimate or Enterprise version.

  It seems to me that I have no other choice than to download this Windows Anytime Upgrade... IF I go ahead and download it. It really goes to entirely replace the OP of the French into English?

  Is this software is reliable?  How much does it cost?

  In addition, please note that the digital site that you suggested to me it doesn't seem to work properly. Nevermind the fact that it only works on the full edition and Enterprise Versions of Windows...

  The bottom line here is that you cannot use a MUI Language Pack in a Home of Windows 7 version.

  There are 3 third-party programs that say they can do this, but these programs have many problems and they also violate the license agreement for Windows 7 which can cause problems with the activation of the system.

  If the Windows Anytime Upgrade is available in your area, this will be your best option. It is inexpensive and only takes 15 minutes about to finish. There is no installation, it simply unlocks the features that are already on your computer.

  I have a Photosmart C6380, living in France, but the operating system is Win 7 64 Uk English printer was working ok in English! is gone drivers corrupt, deleted, downloaded the new drivers of HP UK, where the new driver release in French. Please what can I do to get the driver to unload in English.

  It solved!

  Region / language then Admin! Changed the language for programs no unicode (local system) in English, unloaded correctly in English.

  I just create the recovery media to perform a reinstallation of factory on my X 220 with a new HARD drive inside, but it does not start.

  My recovery media is a HARD 20 GB formatted NTFS drive connected via USB. The process of creating media recovery did well, but when I want to start with this using F12, I choose the USB, wait a few seconds to access the disk, and then I got the message: lack of operating system.

  Did I miss something? Do I have to change on the USB in order to really start something?

  Well, for all the world, I called the French Lenovo Service who told me this relocation of support USB (key, external hard drive) does not work, even if you choose when you create your recovery media, you can not use it for a complete reinstall, it just doesn't work.

  Hope this helps someone in the same case.

  Lenovo send me the recovery disc in place.

  Yes. You can download the 10.4.11 Combo Update from Apple from a different computer, copy it to a USB or burn it to a CD and then run it to update your Mac Mini 10.4.7.

  About to buy a new iMac. Need very soon. As ordered by next week. Prefer to El Cap installed (would rather wait Sierra went through the selection process before entering a new operating system to work). Anyone knows which OS is available on the Apple Store now (since the Sierra was not yet released to the public)? And if El Cap is still available - when someone anticipate he will not be available? (I want to configure what I buy and places like MacMall, while large, are not as versatile).

  After updating my Imac with OS X EL Capitan, has decided to start in bootcamp, using ALT. But it appeared that the windows icon appear.   You cannot run the last Safari on Mac OS 10.9.

  It requires the latest Mac OS (10.11)

  You can create a new partition and install the latest OS above and use it.

  Then the Mavericks partition boot when you want to use Adobe Creative Suite.

• Had to reload operating system and applications data, now can't get firefox to recognize the profile data

  My C drive (disk solid state drive), which held my operating system and data from the app crashed. I had it replaced, updated Win 7 to win 10 and have downloaded Firefox. I was able to restore my profile from a Mozy backup data and copied in the Firefox folder. But Firefox resolutely refuses to recognize. I tried using the recovery data from an old profile, but no advantage help page. Tried to use the Manager profile, but without success. When I go to Troubleshooting Information and click on file/Show profile, it comes up with a list of files (files starting with bookmarkbackups, which however is empty, down for webapps, which has the file inside webapps.json), then the files from addons.json down through xulstore.json and the file places.sqlite is 10 240 KB Although there is something in there, but Firefox resolutely refuses to acknowledge my profile, bookmarks, etc..

  I'm out of options and ripping my hair out trying to get all my favorites, in which I have a lot of information such as the authentication of data for many favorite sites. It is frustrating that all the information seems to be there, but Firefox ignore all.

  Such a backup is perhaps a ZIP archive containing all the files into it if it is not a real file, but only one file.

  Note is that you replace the file places.sqlite with a copy of the backup that you have to make sure to remove existing places.sqlite - shm and temporary files to SQLite places.sqlite - wal.
  Ditto for the other SQLite files that you are restoring.

  Have you checked the application.ini file in the backup?
