  My Windows 7 64 of Profession will expose this problem.

  After startup, it cannot access anything whatsoever outside the local network.  I can ping, DRC and usually access anything whatsoever on the local network, including the router.  But trying to access what anyone outside the LAN does not work.

  I also installed McAfee.

  I would start by removing McAfee and using MSE at least to test.  You can not just disable McAfee, it should be removed and he is known for this type of problem.

  We have a laptop that had a problem and the restoration of the system was not an option.

  We have managed the problem by manually removing the antivirus (Avast) and laptop computer did start again.

  Now we have a new problem and it is that the laptop does not connect to the network regardless of what we are trying.

  • Repair of Windows 7 SP1 installation.
  • It's not Pick-up a DHCP address from the network.
  • When assign us a static IP address, it will yet talk network. With Ping, we obtain a GENERAL FAILURE.
  • No matter what network adapter that we use (Wireless, LAN or even install another network card) all show the same problem.
  • We tried the usual stuff reset the IP stack (netsh winsock reset.. and netsh int ip reset).
  • We tried to remove all network cards and install them again.
  • Check the file hosts for something strange.
  • System Restore did not work because there is no historical points that we could come back.
  • Check the log of network 2 events, we see the related errors:

  (1) NetBT - event ID: 4307 - initialization failed because the transport refused to open initial address.

  (2) service managed control - event ID: 7023 - The IKE and AuthIP IPSec Keying Modules is completed with the following error: failed to load.

  Any suggestion is welcome.

  We finished rebuilding the laptop to solve the problem.

  1. We have exported all data.
  2. Took note of all the license keys, we managed to recover.
  3. Format the hard drive
  4. Install Windows 7, install applications and updates.
  5. Import data.

• Ping localhost error general failure

  I started to have problems to connect to some services the on my my computer Windows 7 64 ultimate after update Microsoft Security Essentials Client and restart.  Hello, JungleDisk, and other services are running, but nothing can connect to them.  I took some sort of network problem and then noticed that when I ping 127.0.0.1, I get a general failure error.  All other network interfaces on my machine work very well.  I tried netsh int ip reset and netsh winsock reset and that did not help.  I scoured the internet looking for resolution without success.  It is at the origin of the critical problems on my machine and I want to do everything I can to avoid reinstalling Windows.  I also tried in safe mode without a bit of luck. Any ideas?

  I finally got almost everything works again.  It was, indeed, Microsoft Security Essentials.  I tried different ways to force the uninstall and only of Revo Uninstaller has finally managed to get to a point where I could reinstall Microsoft Security Essentials without getting the message that it was already installed.  After that my closure still does not work, but then I was able to run the Microsoft Security Essentials real uninstall without getting the fatal error.  After that, I rebooted, reinstalled Microsoft Security Essentials and rebooted once more.  After that my localhost address had returned and the majority of services is now available.  There are a few issues I have with my credentials of service postgres probably because of the many things I tried the week last to solve this problem, but I hope that this is not really a problem of difficulty.

  a. click on Start -> all programs -> Accessories

  b. right-click on command prompt and select run as administrator.

  c. type ipconfig/flushdns and enter.

  I am having some problems with the connection and rattling.  Right now, I only get not all ip addresses on all types of adapters, not even a 169.x.x.x address.  When I try to ping what anyone, including the 172.0.0.1, I get the error "Ping: transmit failed." General failure. "  I tried a system restore with no luck.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall my wireless network card driver and restart my computer.  I've never seen this problem before and am off troubleshooting options.  Any advice?  Thank you.

  Solved the problem by doing a restore of the system and by performing a DNS flush. I don't know what caused the problem or what really fixed it. Normal is just a setting on a washing machine.

  I guess you could start over - resinstall HP Scan and Capture:

  Remove Hp Scan and Capture of the applications and features > restart > open Store > search for scanning and Capture > install

  • PDF documents of single page already on the computer

  NAPS2 provides several page scans.  I used it for these to create test documents.  How achieve you the exit depends on what you use for entry.

  Over a period of several weeks, this 5 year laptop has developed a failure intermittent startup.

  I went through all the suggstions found on various forms (running the diagnostics of F2 and F10 etc.; replacement of battery) and found yesterday when everything started normally!

  This morning, after having run the new battery down to compress and recharged during the night, the lapyop was to his old habit--won't start do not.  The fan should run at high speed for a few seconds then continues quietly with no display.

You had mentioned receiving a failure ID: GGFXPT-5A47P2-9XL03F-60QE03. Identification of this failure code is the code for "Hard disk 1 Quick Test Failure".

  This failure Code is related to the hard, I suggest that you save all important files as soon as you can.

• DNS/ping/traceroute problems on mutiple UNIX hosts

  e run Workstation 9.0.1 with a set of corresponding to a 'standard' UNIX clients build the image on our development books and two remote side desktop workstations. The main differences other than the material are of course laptops work over Windows 7 with the virtual NAT device and systems aside two Office work above RedHat 6.2 with a bridged virtual device. We use bridged on the sides of the office, because we have an application that cannot use NAT and we use NAT on laptops, because our VPN allows only a single IP address by when working remotely.

  What we see on the systems side office, is that when there are several guests running, any network operation performed on more than two people will fail. I can't go to any guest and the first two works, the third or more will fail. If I recycle the interface on a deposit, it will usually start working immediately, but then one of the previous guests who worked will stop. If I leave the comments all sit for a while (minutes maybe 5 or 10, have not really timed), the first two I hit (seems not serious if it's HR, SuSE, Solaris, you have) will work and the third or more will not. We first noticed this with DNS, but soon found that the same is true for ping or traceroute to name servers.

  Books spread never this problem, so I think it's something to do with the bypass.

  I created a tcpdump on the host and each guest. Everything seems normal, when it works, but on a failing guest, I don't see any traffic outside the host or guest.

  I've chipped away at this for one day before coming here. Summer through the logs of the system on the host, the guest and vmware logs. Piddled autour with settings on the host kernel tcp. No luck so far. If I do something wrong with the configuration I would rather know that now just go to the 9.0.2 update, in the hope that something is fixed it.

  This problem could be related to the physical switch port configuration. Several switches come with port security enabled by default (or it is configured by purpose) that limit the number of MAC addresses that can connect to the switch port.

  I am currently upgrading VMware 5.0 to 5.5.   I have 4 host and 1 of them that I'm upgrading from 5.0 to 5.5.  Once I did, it seems I am trying to join the host newly 5.5 with 5.0 older so that I can transfer my VMs, but its not connecting.

  You know guys if anything either on the host vmware 5.5.0 can live on vsphere 5.0.0?

  You are upgrading a VMware vSphere, ESXi host of 5.0 to 5.5? And after the upgrade, you try add the vSphere VMware ESXi a VMware vCenter Server 5.0 5.5?

  If the answer to both questions is Yes, you will need to do what said André, upgrade the Vmware VirtualCenter Server from 5.0 to 5.5 first, and then upgrade to VMware vSphere 5.0 to 5.5 ESXi hosts.

Given that the internet works very well I don't think it could be a problem with NETWORK card. Please share with me what could be the reason.

  You say not so much, but I suspect that you have a cable and a wireless network. One of them may be based on a faulty network card.
