Internal battery for laptop HP dv6500z with clock

Hello:

I have a HP dv6500z notebook computer running Windows Vista 32 bit Home Premium OS.

I guess that this laptop has some form of internal battery 'piece' to keep the internal clock,

Laptop settings, etc.  go when the system is shut down.

If so, does anyone know what is the brand/model of the battery (for example, Energizer CR1220 Lithium 3V).

or an equivalent replacement?

If so, does anyone know of any instructions on how to remove/replace the battery when necessary?

(Enter the bowels can be tricky!)

Thank you...

DaleB

You are the very welcome.

Enter the part number in the part store link I posted above and look at the picture.

It says CR2032 on it.

  • HP 2000. : drivers required internal hardware for laptop HP 2000.

Maybe someone can help me get a pawn shop 'negotiate' return to a life of service exclusive of Linux.  The previous owner had appearantly attempted to retrograde Notepad of Windows 8 for Windows 7 using a Win7 recovery disc and a picture of another computer. Then of course the whole system, the recovery partition and everything, have been formatted away and replaced by an unauthorized and broken windows installation.  I'm OK on Ubuntu we so for now, but I may want to install a new copy of Windows and cannot find that site support of hardware drivers Web internal on my laptop HP 2000 (number of product C2M42UA) anywhere on the HP.  Before wiping away the unauthorized installation of Win7 I looked at the Device Manager and do not forget to Realtek HD audio and video Intel HD and have found the drivers elsewhere on the web, but cannot be sure that what I'm going to need.  I don't think remind me that with the bad install ethernet adapter was without a driver, for example.

Where to find a list of drivers for that to scavange the web?  Seems to me that if a hard disk failure will leave any HP computer newest in the worst form, since they replaced the recovery disks with a recovery partition on the hard drive, it is intended to restore.  Something I keep in mind in computer future shopping.

Windows 7 driver download page for your model:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-2000-2b00-notebook-PC-series/5296210/model/5305080#Z7_3054ICK0KGTE30AQO5O3KA30R1

Remember, when you buy a new laptop they don't give you recovery discs. This has been true for many years. However, there is a recovery manager that will allow you to make these discs, and if you do this and store it in a safe place, you are still able to recover your system. Windows itself now has backup tools very good including the ability to make an image of complete computer system in its current state (not the factory condition) so there is no real reason that you cannot be completely protected against a hard disk crash.

    Hi @shuvo2014,

    Thank you for your update.

As this started to happen after replacing the water of the power button, I guess that's the culprit.

If a repair shop did the replacement I suggest you have them take a look at it again.  If you have replaced yourself, first I would check the connections.   If the connections appear OK, I'll try a different ribbon cable to see what is at the origin.

Please let me know the results.

    Good luck!

  • Internal battery replacement for a 2000-361NR

    Good evening

I'm a replacing the internal battery for my HP 2000-361NR. The external battery does not recognize that it is plugged. Does this mean I have to replace externally. I did diagnostics on it and it wont let me update the BIOS.

    Thanks in advance!

Ah, so you get a battery error internal 601 at startup then tested battery Diagnostics UEFI which does not.

These errors are related and mean the same external battery of the device. Tests you have given show that he does not and must be replaced.

Make sure the internal battery 601 it's portable external battery turn off, remove the battery from the camera, then goot. The error should not appear.

Do you know if your laptop is still under warranty? If so, then you can contact the HP Support to get it replaced under warranty.

If not, a replacement battery may be purchased one a small shop, an online retailer like Amazon or HP.com directly.

  • Purchase a new battery for hp dv4-2045dx

    Hello

I have a computer notebook hp pavilion dv4-2045dx. Unfortunately, the battery has stopped working, and so I want to buy a new hp original battery.

The battery is called "REPLACEMENT-LB73" and it works on 10.8V and 55wh. I not found yet any battery that fits the above characteristics and I'm afraid to buy the wrong type of battery. In particular, the batteries with 52wh or 48wh back my computer? (I ask this because I have not found a LB73 REPLACEMENT battery for hp pavilion dv4 with 55wh)

    Thanks for your help

There is no obligation nor a necessity to buy a HP OEM battery for your laptop.  If you buy a HP randed battery it will cost you much more than a battery that is not HP brand. There is no difference in quality as long as buy you one with a one year warranty.

Just do a Google search for hp pavilion dv4-2045dx battery online and buy guaranteed compatible battery.

You will be able to find batteries with a very broad range of capabilities mAH. I bought a Chinese battery for Toshiba laptop of my daughter from a seller online four years ago. It still works perfectly. I'd rather pay 25.00 - 40, $00 for a compatible battery which will last three years to $100.00 for a battery that will last so long.

  • Power connector at right angle for laptop HP 2230 s?

Is it possible to get an adapter at right angles to the power connector DC for my laptop HP 2230 s?

The connector on the DC power cable that goes into the laptop out the path to the side (a good 2.5 "), which, besides being bulky, resembles an accident waiting to happen. On my old Fujitsu, the connector was barely right angle type, it came out at all, and was not a danger to catch on anything and damage the socket or the plug. This type of connector puts also much less strain on the DC input jack, as he does not act as a lever for bit.

I've seen at right angles to the adapters for different types of cable (you plug your cable on one end and the other goes in the computer), like this:

I hope you get the idea. In any case, what I would like is an adapter for the type of connector used on my HP laptop. The type of connector seems to be pretty standard in the range, so an adapter can be used with many models of HP. In the end, I hope that HP will change cables from their power supplies for laptop to come with these types of connectors at the ends, but in the meantime, is possible to get an appropriate, either through HP or a third party adapter?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer suggestions!

  • Is it possible to use Canadian spare battery in German for laptop - Y570?

    Hello community,

I'm a trainee program at a University in canada. Naturally, I'm German.

In Germany, I bought a Lenovo Ideapad Y570. I would buy a second battery for this camera.

Is it possible to use a Canadian spare battery with this unit?

-Because I don't want to buy in Germany and ship it to canada, I think that this is not common sense...

    Thanks for your replies.

I don't think that lenovo made a laptop for the Germany and designed a notebook different to the Canada. I think you'd be very well just order a battery of the Canada.

  • X 1 Gen 3 (Type 20BS, 20BT) carbon for laptop (ThinkPad) second battery missing. W10 Pro

My X 1 3 Gen with Pro W10 - already updated 1/2 year without problem.

But the system has recently lost the second battery.

Tools like the parameters of Lenovo just show 1 battery (main).

The second seems to be recognized either.

The time that the laptop can be used is also nearly half as before.

    Any tips?

  • Is it right to keep my Aspire V3 - 575G (with internal battery) plugged when working 8-10 hours?

Hi, I'm new to the community and just recently bought an Aspire V3 - 575G, if I have owned sucks since 2009.  Is it good to keep my laptop plugged in all the time I'm in the office, amounting to about 8-10 hours a day?  The laptop has an internal battery and I'm afraid that keeping plugged in that long every day could overload and damage the battery if sooner.  My old Aspire has a removable battery and I used to consider whenever I use it over a long period, and the original battery is still good after almost 7 years.  Thanks for the ideas!

    Hi Sirbutch,

Suggestions of a lot of Angie1 are very good and have been for some time. Fortunately, there are a lot of useful updates that have taken place in the battery technology, which is one of the main reasons they are now internal as opposed to the old style of removalble, you are probably familiar.

Today, laptops are now designed to minimize the effects of wear and tear that keep the laptop plugged in could have 5 or 10 years ago. These batteries have a cycle (a term for its ability to be depleted and recharged) several thousand now, compared to a few hundred in the late 2000s. In addition, the PC has controls to prevent overload and you don't notice maybe even an indication of 'AC plugged in, does not support' when more than 90% (this varies) on the power of your laptop indicator.

Overall, in my opinion, keep your connected system can have a VERY low impact on the battery life. That said, constantly plug and unplug the device would probably be the same percentage of the impact on the overall life of the PC.

What is the CMOS battery? A forum q / said they have a CR-2032 battery.

Is it the same thing for my laptop? & How to install it please?

    Thank you

    Hello

No, the message is a bit misleading, in fact the main battery. You must check the battery and replace if necessary. For the second question: Yes, BUT normally it is in a 'bag', in many cases, you need to replace the entire 'bag '.

Update: for your machine, it's not in a bag. Please see following page 4-46 of the Manual:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02641840.PDF

(Manual tells you how to replace too).
