  today I purchased two 2 GB RAM Corsair DIMMS (DDR2 - 667 mhz) for my Satellite Pro A100.

  After that I updated the BIOS it detected the 4 GB of RAM, but the balance of RAM on the boot prompt checks only 3 GB of RAM. So I can use only 3 GB of RAM (I use ubuntu 64 as an operating system). When I try to RAM into another laptop, it works perfectly. A memtest86 + says check: no error.
