Internet connectivity is lost every 3 days... restoration of the system, restores connectivity

I lose the internet connection on my HP Pavilion laptop of series g on all three days.  I have to use the connectivity of the system restore restore (lan & wireless).  This is the third episode of this problem.  Troubleshooting services cannot identify/fix the problem.

What are the events the choice of system restore show as having passed in the meantime?  Are you aware of all the events as the Windows updates?

Have you noticed the same behavior with preinstalled Toshiba or did it only with your new SSD HDD?

You might have to update the firmware of the SSD. You should check the official website of OCZ if there is a newer version. If Yes, start the update firmware and then check again if it works or not.

It's a pretty good trick, considering that charmap.exe is one of the files that Windows File Protection is supposed to protect.

Do a full disc search for charmap (without extension), making sure to look into the hidden files and system.

If charmap.exe is not in C:\Windows\system32 (where it belongs), he probably is not in C:\Windows\system32\dllcache (where it also belongs).

If you have a directory (which is common for systems with Windows) C:\i386 pre-installed, you should find charmap.ex_, which is a compressed version of the file.  You must use the EXPAND command from a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK) to decompress:

    Expand c:\i386\charmap.ex_ c:\windows\system32\charmap.exe
    copy c:\windows\system32\charmap.exe c:\windows\system32\dllcache

Don't forget the space before the c:\ at two locations in two lines

You will also find the charmap help files in C:\i386 and can expand those as well if necessary.  The expanded files should reside in C:\windows\help

As a last resort, you can try the following procedure:

"How do I recover from a corrupted registry that prevents Windows XP startup"

Which essentially restores the registry from a backup copy kept with the files in system restore.  In part 2, select a dated folder until you have had this problem to copy the registry of the.  Personally, I find it is easier to start from free Linux Livecd like Knoppix , in which case you can start the procedure in part 2, step 6 using Linux and paste to copy files to their desired location.  Live CD of Linux has no problems with dealing with the status of "Super hidden" System Volume Information folder.

    Good luck and HTH,

is there such a thing as an internet connection timer? I'm lost and then community internet connection g at different times of the day. I have just hooked to the nbn (national broadband - Australia Network) and have just bought a wireless modem/router 9323 method. I set it up and it worked. I noticed that I have two internet connections when I go to access the internet. one is a broadband connection and the other is nettcomm wireless 9323. What gives with that?

You have a connection wireless and broadband that you could use one or the other or both. It is recommended to use one at a time. Contact your internet provider and discuss the issue with them.

  • Time Capsule has lost the Internet connection and DNS servers

I use a Time Capsule for Time Machine via Ethernet backups for a couple of years, use it in mode bridge taking its Internet connection directly from my router and connected in turn by Ethernet to my iMac. (Most of the time that I also had wifi off on my iMac and took my Internet directly via the TC Ethernet connection.) A few months ago I upgraded to El Capitan, and the TC has lost its connection Internet (flashing yellow). A few days later I drove back to the Yosemite (for other reasons - Mail had gone mad) to restore a backup of the TC and everything was fine again for a few months. It may or may not be meaningful I plugged TC yesterday to new laptop for my wife to support for the first time, and this laptop is running El Capitan. Since then, the TC has once more lost its Internet connection and DNS settings and is stuck on flashing orange. By clicking on the 'Internet connection' status alert, tells me that the TC is not a valid IP address.

I have reset the TC, repeatedly and reconfigured but all without success. After consulting the other discussions, I also tried giving the unit an alphanumeric name with no spaces & special characters and change the IPv6 "Link-local" configuration only, but this did not affect the result. And I updated the firmware for good measure. Then I unplugged overnight and carried out a full power cycle the steps recommended here, restart the router, TC and the computer (and performed a factory reset on the TC, while the router & computer was turned off). After doing that, the TC has become undetectable by AirPort Utility, until I have reset reconfigured once again, he and ended up in the same place.

It may or may not be important to mention the following:

1 when you set the TC after a reset, I repeatedly selected the option of adding to an existing network instead of create a network, but the installation wizard who ignored each time.

    2. in the installation each time, this point, I shows me the following, which seems to suggest that there is a problem but don't say so explicitly:

I would be grateful for any advice.

Weird how everything's going well for a few years and then crazy when you have something will change.

El Capo adds some network problems more... but something could be fundamentally wrong with the installer.

Your current configuration, it is apparently bridged but cannot get an IP address. The address 169.254 is give it since it's self generated.

You need to do a manual installation. It simply means the Assistant is unable for any reason to be your network so start over and do it manually of misfortune (wow, or also possible misery, woah being where you are now!) to go...!

    1. I need to know what modem you are connected. Make and model please?

    2. the most important. What is the main router on your network or a modem?

I gave the edge to make manual settings a few times. Somehow my instructions for Yosemite/El Capo got lost... I'll try and hunt down them. In the meantime, the basic method remains the same.

    original title: Internet connectivity problem

After that my computer remained at about 48 to 72 hours, he lost all internet connectivity, IE and Outlook, as well as other programs. Before that, it works fine. If I reboot, it goes back to works very well for this period of time. I noticed I can shorten or lengthen the time that remains active of programs I run the application, primarily GOAL and iTunes. If I do not use one of the people, he can stay for about 4 days, if I use both what it comes down to 2 days.

About 2-3 months ago, my computer started to do this. I've been troubleshooting on and outside since then, but as it was not any extreem yet I was not too concerned. However, recently the problem has progressed. It started with she it around every 7 days, so I could live with it. However, I do not restart my computer every day, so I'm hoping to solve this problem.

  • Internet connection lost of Airport Express

I have an Airport Extreme bought July 2013 connected to a modem cable my ISP, Cox. I use an iMac running El Capitan. An ethernet cable to connect the modem cable to the Airport Express Terminal. Lately I lost my internet connection. I have set using the diagnostics of the network in the preferences, network, which brings me to restart the cable modem. That works, but it can last all day, or just for a few hours, and then I lose the internet connection. I called Cox Tech support and the guy said that as long as my cable modem lights remained on the balance, then it must be a problem with Airport Extreme. It also suggests to connect the modem cable directly to the computer. I have already happened up to 14 hours at a time and have not lost the internet connection. This leads me to believe that the problem is with the Airport Extreme. I can do about it before buying another Airport Extreme? Thank you.

What is the brand and model of the modem provided by Cox Internet? Is this the same modem that you use when you first installed AirPort Extreme? ... and, if so, it has had problems before connecting or just started to happen as shown in your post.

  • Problems with Win 7: lost internet connection and downloads

    Hello

I'm not sure that the two problems are related... I don't know what topic to choose.

I have a custom, with Win 7 machine, and I install all required updates. But for a while (months? I turn it off every night) it says 15 updates are available every time that I reboot, and I see no updates installed (I search for installed updates today).

Anyway, let them go all the way, and when I restart, I have no connection. It's happened several times (everytime I reboot). Maybe that I had the chance to solve the problem by restarting (and reinstalling :)) 15 updates, but today I can't. I am connected by wire to a modem. Our all other computers work.

I have a job in the process and need my internet connection (easier to work on a desktop computer with large screen of a laptop) and I can't.

In network and sharing Center, there is a cross between 'Several networks' and the internet. I have the message if I 'connect or disconnect' "no Internet access.

I did ipconfig, and I get media disconnected. I did not unplug anything!

I would be very grateful for your help.

    Thank you very much

    Hi Allwyna,

    Thanks for the reply.

As you said, there are 16 updates that never completed the installation. There could be opportunities updates are at the origin of the problem. So before solve us the connection problem. We should go ahead and first to solve the problem of updates.

I would like to know you have installed any Security Antivirus software on your computer, if so I first suggest you temporarily disable the Antivirus software install on your computer and check if that helps.

Warning: Antivirus software helps protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software and/or any relevant issue, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks by malicious software.
