Internet Explorer 8 develops in the memory; use possibly 1.43 gigabytes of RAM; crashes; Help!
So a few days ago I installed Internet Explorer 8. I was sick of IE7 suck as much memory up, nearly 1.5 gigabytes of RAM. But I was wrong, that the upgrade would be useful. Whenever I start IE8, it occupies about 50 000 kilobytes of memory, not so bad. 30 minutes and 15 pages later, Internet Explorer is up to 400,000, that's not that bad, right? Nope. 45 minutes later, Internet Explorer is slowing down and using a whooping kilobytes 1.43 million, almost 3/4 of my RAM. 1 minute later, IE8 works all together. My first suspicions lead me to believe that modules * have been behind this madness, I have so removed and uninstalled all the. Did not work. Delete all temporary files. No beef. I searched the web for answers, but I found nothing. The problem is so boring that I use my old Sony VAIO, instead of my Vista. Help, please!

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.
Here are some things you can try to solve this problem. It is not normal that IE, either 7 or 8.
Try running IE8 with disabled modules. First make sure that all instances of
IEXPLORE. EXE are completed in the Task Manager (press Ctrl + Shift + Esc your)
keyboard, processes tab, complete the IEXPLORE process all. (EXE).
Go to start > programs > Accessories > system tools > Internet Explorer (No.)
Add ons) to start IE8 without any add-ons. Try to use the browser and see if
It works now.
If it's work, start IE8 normally, go to tools (if the menu bar
does not appear, press the ALT of the keyboard) > manage add-ons. Here,
Disable all add-ons that you need not under "currently loaded.
In addition to the above, you can try to disable the protection of memory of IE8 and
see if it helps. Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > advanced > under
'Security', uncheck the box "enable memory protection help ease online
attacks > OK
Otherwise, you can use the free Microsoft for IE8 phone Support

Unable to access Internet Explorer under two of the five profiles on the same computer
I have 5 profiles set up on my computer, one for each Member of the family. When I try to access Internet Explorer or Word in two of the profiles I am unable to run the command. Both applications work as they always have under the other three profiles. I double click on
and 'Open with' dialog box appears with "Recommended programs." The only option in this area is "Internet Explorer". I select the option and click on , but I find myself in a continuous loop with the "Open with" dialog box When I finally click I get an another dialog asking me to save or run "ssvagent.exe." I am able to cancel out, but I can't even open either application. If I select I can open the document in word, but I can't access Word from the options menu or the shortcut I used last year. I ran a virus scan today and 5 cases have been detected and removed. I ran the scan under 5 profiles, but now I can't access BitDefender (my virus scan) under either of the two affected profiles. Internet Explorer does not reload the XML data
Hello
I created a scroller that reads from a RSS page by using the XML object and Load XML method. Every minute, I call the XML loading method to reload the data. It works well on Firefox and Opera, but it's not reloading on Internet Explorer. Any ideas?
I use IE 6 SP2 Version. Is this related to the Internet Explorer security? Is there a work around?
-Thanks in advancePut a random var at the end of the xml file:

Query 'work offline '.
When a download is in progress (for eg. 50% complete) and I put in 'Work offline' mode in Internet Explorer, this will affect the download / download will stop and I have to restart the download again? What would be the status in a scenario like this?
I think you might have to restart the download. You can test and see, but with XP, I think it will start from scratch.

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.
Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.
This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:
This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:
-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded
on your system. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is
Poster: load address of the driver, description, version, product name,.
company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.htmlFor drivers, visit Maker as replacements and system manufacturer of device which are
the most recent. Control Panel - write - graphics card - device manager
the brand and complete model of your video card - double click - tab of the driver-
Note the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing
MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard
If there are 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers
you have. Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restore)
and site (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get the manufacturer and device
their latest versions. (Look for the system to update the BIOS, Chipset and software updates
Site of the manufacturer here.)Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN -.
REBOOT after each installation.Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot.
Make sure that it is installed and repeat if necessary.Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
SCANNER - check manually by model.Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

I am running Mozilla Firefox under Windows 7 Ultimate 20.0.1.

If the bookmark has a subdirectory, I don't get any of the links in the subdirectory. It didn't happen on my other computers:

You can manually export your IE Favorites and then import them into Firefox by using an HTML file as intermediate format. This thread has the steps: only 1/3 of my imported IE Favorites. How can I move the rest?

If you have problems with importing IE bookmarks in Firefox, then export favorites in Internet Explorer to a HTML file and import this file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.
Like that you also preserve any sort you did in Internet Explorer with favorites.- Export Favorites in Internet Explorer to a file (bookmarks.html) HTML: file > import and export
- Import the HTML file in Firefox: bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > import HTML: from a file
