INTERNET 'FAVORITES '.

When I try to access it through "Favorites" - I get the target message "" of this internet shortcut is not valid.  Go to the Internet shortcut property sheet and make sure the target is correct - for this reason, I brought all my computer back to factory settings - this is always the case.  I usually have 'add to Favorites' when I'm on the home page of the site.  Help... (I already lost all my photos, etc... because when I did the recovery discs, I thought he picked up everything.

I THINK SEMI SOLVED MY PROBLEM - I GO ON THE INTERNET AND EXPLORE - THE LITTLE STARS APPEAR ON THE SIDE LEFT - I ACCESS THE ORDINARY STAR AND THAT ME SHOWS MY FAVORITES - I CAN THEN ACCESS THE ONE I WANT AND HE IRA DIRECTLY TO THIS ADDRESS.  SO, EVEN WHEN MY SHORTCUT DOES NOT WORK - MY MODULES ARE STILL VIABLE.   THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND CONGRATULATIONS FIVE 5 FOR YOUR HELP.

  • Files and Internet favorites have disappeared

All my files in the folder my documents have disappeared and so have my internet Favorites.  I have not recently made anything out of an ordinary day, that they were simply not there.  I have a G60 with Vista and use Kaspersky.  The strange thing is that if I open Word, some of my documents is still listed under recent documents.  I can open and edit them but they are not where in the folder my documents (I could re - save in the documents folder, but are not my other folders, which one where this doc would always be there).   Help, please.

    Hello

Maybe it's your records have become hidden from the operating system.

A handy utility to view all the files on your PC is called Commander free of charge, on the link below, because it shows files that the operating system normally hides, or which have become hidden and has a search function.

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/PHP/download.php?id=107872&a=7122339&tag=601108&loc=10

It is a zipped file.  If you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip , which can be used to open it so that you can run the Setup program.

When it is installed, run the application and use it to browse to where your files should be and see if they are actually still there.

  • Loss of the list/Faded icons of file Internet Favorites Word and picture

After a virus attack, I had to perform a system restore. I lost all Internet favorites that I had previously recorded. In addition, Word and picture files icons were wilted. After the restoration, I removed the virus with an anti-malware program. I also installed a new antivirus. I can't restore your Internet favourites list or the faded icons. Is this possible?

    Hi MarkMasonNR,

    1. You see favorites listed in "operating system drive >: \Documents and Settings\\Favorites" folder?

    Step 1:

I suggest that you try to run an antivirus full scan on the computer by using the anti-virus software installed on the computer. If you don't have any software antivirus installed on the computer, then try Microsoft Security Essentials:

Help protect your PC with Microsoft Security Essentials

In addition, you can run Microsoft Safety Scanner. The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    Step 2:

Create new user and check if this may help. If the new user is working then, I would say that set you the user profile damaged.

  • How to copy Internet favorites on a Windows 8?

When moving to new computers, that I always copied my favorite Internet shortcuts to the Favorites folder. How can I do this in Windows 8?

This process has not changed in 12 years: you can always simply open your user folder and copy the 'Favorites' folder on your new computer, just as you always have.

Note: If you connect to your computer with your Microsoft Account, Windows 8 allows to synchronize your bookmarks between all your computers for you automatically.

You want to copy your bookmarks from Firefox on favorite Edge? I found a few articles about how Edge can import from other browsers:

I can't test these steps myself. They work for you?

For contacts, Firefox isn't local storage, the data must be on the site where you get your email (for example, Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo) and should be available in all browsers.

  • Favorites of IE have disappeared, but always seem to be there

My internet Favorites and shortcuts of desktop today disappeared after a system restore.  When I try to add my favorites of IE, I get a message that says: there are already files with the name (although I do not see them in my favorites file).  For example, if I try to add Google as a favorite, it says that there is a favorite with this name and asks if I want to overwrite.  If I do, it creates Google (2).  It seems that the Favorites are still there, but I can't see them.

As most (but not all) of my missing too desktop shortcuts.

Any ideas how to get to your Favorites and shortcuts back office?

    Thank you

    Mike

Maybe their attributes changed to hidden, a virus could do. I was after having been infected with Fake hard drive, my Quick Launch bar, Favorites and several desktop icons disappeared. A restore of the system restored my Quick Launch bar but the Favorites and several desktop icons remained missing. To check that your try these:

    1. set up your computer to display the hidden files and folders:
    Show hidden files
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/Show-hidden-files

    2. navigate to C /: user //Favorites. Check the attributes of files and folders. I found here that attribute of the Favorites folder is not hidden but the subfolders and files are, so they don't show in the browser. Rather than change the attributes of the files one at a time, I changed the attribute to the favorite folder to hidden after what I have removed the hidden this file attribute and apply the changes to all subfolders and files.

    3. navigate to C /: user //Desktop, same as described in 2.

  • Change the 'Full view' to 'Normal Mode' on Internet Exployer.

I have been using Google.  An announcement has covered the text so I chose the Internet bar "full screen" on top, the favorite button is gone and the X to close the task.  I have to close it using the Task Manager.  How can I return to the normal display?  I stopped and restarted several times.  Does not help.  The bar Internet, Favorites and X appear briefly while the internet web page is opening, but quickly disappear.

In Internet Explorer, simply press the ESC key to return to the Department in the normal environment.

    I hoe this aid.

    Good luck!

  • Transfer of internet bookmarks using Windows Easy Transfer

I have used several easy Windows to transfer my files from Windows XP to Windows 7 Home Premium.  Everything seemed to transfer all rights except my internet Favorites.  Does anyone have a solution for this?  Thank you.

Open your Firefox bookmarks, display all bookmarks and click on the "import and backup" function: it proposes "export" and "import".  Export your stuff on the XP box and import it on the Windows 7 computer.

    Hello

    I own a 27 inch iMac 2011 mid

with Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5

    you use Safari 6.1.6

KInecta.org Credit Union just informed me

they no longer support this old Safari browser

and I should upgrade to version 10

This will make my "Office for Mac 2011" useless?

(I think I remember refusing to update my OS for a long time)

There is, because I have to get a new version of Office)

Is this upgrade of the OS a simple upgrade

Should I save 'again' (like when I wipe the drive)

    My internet Favorites, address book,

data and files the mailbox store apple before you do the upgrade?

    Thank you very much!

MS Office 2011 is still supported by Microsoft.

I works fine on my MacBook Pro mid-2012 13 "run macOS Sierra.

I upgraded to El Capitan, and it did not affect MS Office 2011.

All you have to do is to install the updates for MS Office 2011.

If MS Office breaks all what you need to do is reinstall Office 2011 but it will work with macOS Sierra.

  • I would like to have my bookmarks appear permantly on the left of my Firefox screen. How can I do this?

On earlier versions of Windows and Firefox, I get my internet favorites listed on the left side of my Firefox window.
All that seems to me to be able to do now is click the Firefox tab on the top left of the screen and select Bookmarks/unsorted bookmarks for a list, but it is not on my Firefox screen permanently

If you hold down Ctrl and the B button, you should see the menu of bookmarks appear on your left with all of your bookmarks and folders inside.

    Hi guel27,

-have you checked if the wlan switch is in the correct position?
-If the position is ok, check the hardware by using Device Manager. No red or yellow cross on the wlan adapter? Okay, you guys:
-check if the network connection is not disabled in the overview of network connections
-(droite-klick sur réseau/wlan-icon dans la systemtray et vérifiez votre connexion si elle est désactivée.)
seing any Red Cross on your wlan conn? Okay, you guys:
-Perhaps you have installed a wireless Internet favorite, at least you could:
-delete all favorite connections and choose dhcp instead of a static ip address

BTW: Be sure to use the driver for your nic corect!

  • How can I uninstall windows 7 and return to windows vista?

    Uninstall windows 7 Home premium

How to uninstall windows 7 Home premium package and re install windows vista Home premium SP1

    Given what you have...

Get/use your Windows Vista Home Premium media (and product key) to start to go and destroy (create new partitions and format) everything that you installed and install again.

Once you have Windows Vista Home Premium installed, get SP1 and SP2 (in order) to get Vista to update Service Pack, then get all the post-SP2 hotfixes/updates to update installed.

You also need to locate, download, and install all the drivers for hardware devices,-either by the manufacturer of the computer as a whole (if it's a Dell, Lenovo, Gateway, HP, etc.) or by each manufacturer of components support pages (Intel, Realtek, various manufacturers of motherboard, AMD/ATI, nVidia, Broadcom, etc..)

You can then install all other applications (office suites, photo-editing suites, video editing suites, Internet plugins, alternative browsers, Internet plugins, etc) and activate the paid applications using the appropriate series/product numbers.

At this point, you can restore all your backups (documents, music, photos, emails, contacts, databases, spreadsheets, presentations, Favorites/internet Favorites, etc.) on the computer.
