  Thanks for the tip. I was able to start the service by stopping the Foglight Quest agent running on the box first, then by restarting VCO. The article stresses that increase the RAM would help, however the virtual machine has been set to 10 GB, with abundance available for the JAVA virtual machine, but I always saw the issues mentioned in the wrapper.log file.

  I'm unable to start the Server service of vco on Windows 2008 R2 machine. If I try to restart the service it displays the following error;

  "Service server vmware vcenter orchestrator on local computer started and then stopped. "Some services stop automatically when not in use by other services or programs.

  Can someone give me the solution for this?

  First check the configuration of the vCO application and that all green lights. If this isn't the case difficulty what the problem is.

  If everything is green, see the server.log file and look for FATAL / ERROR.

  My company has just installed VMware vCenter Orchestrator and we try to create a new host to vCenter server with version 5.0.1.

  Can someone point me to documentation that shows me how to configure the web page in the print screen attached?  Or can someone please tell me what is needed in the empty fields, etc.?  When we try to enter info, we get alerts of service of red light of the vCenter Server tab and the tab startup options.  Both give us a red circle indicating a problem.

No, this plugin configuration is not actually CREATE a vCenter for you, it allows you to configure the vCO to speak to an EXISTING vCenter server you must already have a server vCenter configuration somewhere and you must use the FULL domain name or address IP of this server in this configuration.

  I hope it would be only certain types of admins/helpdesk do PW reset because you must connect to the WebView in order to run the workflow... in any case, you can follow this tutorial for a Webview based in vCO:

  Regarding the other prerequisites:

  vCO must have the ad plugin installed and configured to use SSL when communicating your AD environment. It is a requirement for users created with passwords and resetting passwords.

  When you get to the step of the tutorial for mapping a workflow, you'll want to use the workflow to "Change password". This is a workflow of library Active Directory that are available after the installation of the plugin AD and the vCenter Orchestrator Server service restarts.

  • Go to/app-server/server/vmo/conf
  • Edit the file vmo.properties and Add (if not already done) the following line to enable

• The use of vCO (vCenter Orchestrator) to control the use of clusters

  I use Distributed Power Management (DPM).  Suppose that a host is in sleep mode and has been turned off by DPM because it has low utlization on the cluster.

  Then, use picks up once again.  DPM should eventually turn on the host return when there is enough demand for cluster resources.

  However, using VCO, I want to check every 5 minutes, and what use gets above x %, make sure that no host ESXi is always off.

  That way if a host is turned off power and application quickly, spikes and DPM is not enough fast, or if a host fails to power back on when it should be for a reason, I use VCO to check that.

  Someone did he do something like that or have a recommendation on how to impliment it?

When I log in the Web Client (5.1) Select vCenter Orchestrator of stocks, that I'm not able to specify a vCenter Orchestrator by choosing change configuration, and of course there is no available workflows, have I missed a step?  IM can not see the plugin in the vsphere Client GUI

• Problem installing OpenManage for VMWare vCenter integration

  I'm trying to use Dell OpenManage integration with VMWare vCenter and have downloaded and deployed with the OVF file.  The virtual machine appears to have installed correctly and I recorded 2 servers by IP address vCenter.  I can connect to the DellAdminPortal page and sign in.  In the Administration Console under vCenter record I see two vCenter server and I get the message

  The vCenter 172.17.1.30 has been saved successfully. Open a new client vSphere for vCenter 172.17.1.30 so that the changes can be implemented.

  However when I connect to my with the Web Client vSphere vCenter I don't see the icon Dell OpenManage integration under the Administration category.  What Miss me?  I also checked the Administration-> have management and I can only see vCenter Orchestrator, Log Browser and SSO Admin UI Plugin.  About Dell OpenManage.

  I have connected several times and have even restarted the VM OpenManage, but nothing appears.  Any suggestions on what I can do to get this race?

  Our web customer support is for vSphere 5.5 only. Please make sure it's the version of vCenter that you run.

  "If you are on 5.5 check if there are two plugin files in C:/ProgramData/VMware/vSphere Web Client/vc-packages/vsphere-client-serenity /" If there is, we have seen that removing the oldest file and restarting the blank Server fixed this issue.

  Hi team,

  I am trying to configure vCAC 6.0 using the inbult Orchestrator 5.5.1 However when I try to add the vCO by accessing Home > Administration > Services Advacned > endpoints and click on the + adds vCenter Orchestrator plug-ins such as endpoints so that you can create service plans with Advanced Services Designer and publish the workflow as catalog items. I get the following error:

  I tried to connect to vCO by using the following accounts, but this has not helped to solve the problem:

  8281 is the correct port. Probably, you must use Basic authentication and insert the credentials of the user that you use to sign in to the vCO client.
