No vCenter Orchestrator connecting to vCenter 5.1

I configured the parameters required in VMware vCenter Orchestrator Configuration via https://localhost:8283 including a separate SQL DB. When I log in the Web Client (5.1) Select vCenter Orchestrator of stocks, that I'm not able to specify a vCenter Orchestrator by choosing change configuration, and of course there is no available workflows, have I missed a step?  IM can not see the plugin in the vsphere Client GUI

Yes, SSO is necessary regardless of the device you're using, or one based on Windows Installer. When you configure SSO in vCO, it fits in the SSO (vCenter) server so that integration takes place...

  • Connect with vCenter Orchestrator 7

Can not find, where I can connect the camera orchestrator 7.0 can connect to the Server vcenter. There is no documentation available for this version

can anyone help? Thank you very much

Connect vRO 7 to vCenter, you can use a workflow now, check under \Library\vCenter\Configuration

    - Add an instance of vCenter Server <--> this workflow implements vRO to allow vRO to things with vCenter.

    - Registry vCenter Orchestrator as a vCenter Server extension <-> this workflow shows vCenter Orchestrator is available to run workflows. It is important for vSphere integration Web Client for Orchestrator. Note: vRO and vCenter MUST use the same source SSO and the user logged on to the Web Client vSphere must be a member of the Administrators group of the vRO you specified for Orchestrator.

  • VCenter Orchestrator Server - invalid connection login

I 5.1.0 build 1123966 installed with Orchestrator on a separate virtual computer.

When I go to set up the connection to a server vCenter Server, I can connect using the button 'Test connection' very well.

However, Orchestrator reports an 'invalid login' all pages 'administer '.

    Details:

User logs (I tried to share a single session - no difference)

SSO is supported by Active Directory.

    RSA CERT is imported.

The clocks are synchronized to NTP.

Orchestrator is to get his Server vCenter license. (License server has been very well with the value of domain\user)

User account is part of the vcoAdmins group.

Username is currently defined as User@fqdn (also tried domain\user).

Using SSL on port 443 /sdk path.

I am confused and would appreciate any suggestions.

Ok. He tracked down but it's kind of weird.

I had the Orchestrator account in the Group of vcoAdmins@system-domain linked to the AD account. (that is, the vcdAdmins@system-domain are included as part of the Group's user@my-domain)

I gave up and added user@my-domain (same account, same area, same AD server)

    Orchestrator client is restarted.

    Alto! No problems.

  • How to make a call from CPO to vCO (vcenter orchestrator)?

How to make a call from CPO to vCO (vcenter orchestrator)?

    Hello

I am trying to create a workflow that would connect to a vCO.

    I was Expecting

    1. how to create targets for the vCO and

    2. how acess that target.

    Concerning

    Shiva

    1) there is no target for the vCO. We have a target/connection to Virtual Center (vCenter)

    (2) If you want to make vCO calls you could do, it all depends on how the API is structured. You can make calls via web services or CLI, etc.

If you give your use case it is perhaps more to discuss. If you need an ENH or put something in, you can open a case with the TAC.

  • vRealize device Orchestrator 6.0.3 and vCenter 5.5 5.6 U3/vCloud Director

    Hello world

I have a few questions on the compatibility between vRO 6.0.3 and vCenter vCloud Director 5.6 and 5.5:

In vCenter Orchestrator 5.5.2 I plugin to connect the vCO to vCenter (version

    vro2.jpg

    2. a supplementary door on vSphere Web Client integration with vRO. To do this properly first of all I must use SSO authentication mode? It won't work with LDAP authentication?

    3. anyone know if vRO works closely with vCloud Director 5.6? I found 5.5.1.2 plugin, but using this plugin, I can not connect to vCD (in vCO 5.5.2 I have no problem).

    Hello

    (1) Yes, plugin configuration is workflow (this is the approach recommended new plug-ins; the old configuration of Web UI is deprecated and will be removed at some point).

    (2) only the SSO mode is supported; LDAP won't work. Note that the UNIQUE authentication token is acquired in the name of the user logged in vSphere client to Web, so you must make sure that this user has enough permissions to connect to vRO.

    (3) it should be newer versions of this plugin, and compatibility matrix showing which plugin version is compatible with given the vCD. Don't know where it is, however.

  • How to create Self Service Portal in Vcenter Orchestrator? times

    Dear team,

I want to create the Self Service Portal to reset user password in Active Directory in Vcenter Orchestartor. Could someone guide me for this

Note: I installed Vmware Vcenter Orchestrator 5.5.

    TechM

I hope it would be only certain types of admins/helpdesk do PW reset because you must connect to the WebView in order to run the workflow... in any case, you can follow this tutorial for a Webview based in vCO:

    http://www.vcoteam.info/articles/learn-VCO/107-create-a-simple-VCO-self-service-VM-provisioning-Portal-part-3.html

    Regarding the other prerequisites:

vCO must have the ad plugin installed and configured to use SSL when communicating your AD environment. It is a requirement for users created with passwords and resetting passwords.

When you get to the step of the tutorial for mapping a workflow, you'll want to use the workflow to "Change password". This is a workflow of library Active Directory that are available after the installation of the plugin AD and the vCenter Orchestrator Server service restarts.

    2. the question whether she can be able to automate certain tasks in linux system?

    3. what operating system, it will support?

    4. only it can possible to automate the workflow for the only Vmware application.

Please help me on this question.

    Kind regards

    1. There are hundreds of workflows available for vCenter vCenter plug-in turned in vCO. If there is not a workflow that does what you need, then you can probably write your own or use some of these workflow library in combination to do what you need.
    2. Yes, you can use the workflow operations or the plug-in of SSH to connect to the guest Linux OS and run scripts. Customization of Linux is also supported for the operation as Clone/customize, and material of the add/edit like any other virtual computer.
    3. See the documentation of official response please. vCO Server can run under Linux (vCO device) or 64-bit Windows operating system. VCO Client can be run on Linux, Windows 64 - bit or 32 - bit, and OSX. As has been pointed out by Techstarts, are taken care of according to VMware (vCenter) guest operating system.
    4. There are many plug-ins available for vCO, allowing it to automate many different systems. See http://solutionexchange.vmware.com and click on Orchestrator Plug-ins to see what is available. Those who come to add plug-ins provided with vCO.
  • Connection of SSO authentication test only allows to vCenter administrator

I'm vCO 5.1.1 with SSO configuration.  I am able to register Orchestrator using SSO registration - basic Mode; However, in the Configuration of SSO part, I am unable to save settings for a vCO Admin group I select it is a domain group.  While I can find the group using the group filter, when I click on "Update Orchestrator Configuration", the selected group of changes made to a local group on the vCenter Server system.  If I apply a local group as the vCO Admin as the Administrators group local to vCenter Server, and then test the connection by using the credentials of one of the members, the authentication fails: "subject of credentials are not valid."  The only credential that authenticates is built-in the vcenter Server system administrator account.  This prevents me to connect the customer to the vCO.  What could prevent the members of the group to be applied as vCO admins?

    The solution was double:

1 can't use nested as vCO Admins groups.  I made a field of the CVO group Admins, but the Group was a group nested as a member.  All members of the domain group should be individual users.

    2. authentication SSO requires the full name in the login: [email protected]

I also made sure my domain name has been listed as one of the default fields in the configuration of SSO.  Once I restarted the service configuration and the vCO Server service, I could successfully connect on the client of the vCO.
