  I am trying to create a workflow that would connect to a vCO.

  I was Expecting

  1) there is no target for the vCO. We have a target/connection to Virtual Center (vCenter)

  (2) If you want to make vCO calls you could do, it all depends on how the API is structured. You can make calls via web services or CLI, etc.

  If you give your use case it is perhaps more to discuss. If you need an ENH or put something in, you can open a case with the TAC.

  Hi all

  As indicated in the title, as I migrated my devices vCO to vCO 5.5.1 (connected to 5.0 vCenters) 5.1 (connected to 5.5 Server devices vCenters) capacity and freeSpace from a given data store fields always show 0GO as value (although the provisonnedSpace displays a correct value).

  I tried to use the datastore.summary.capacity and datastore.summary.freeSpace properties, but they always return a value of 0.

  Are these properties obsolete or unusable with the 5.5.1 plugin?

  Usually resolves such issues with lack of properties or values not updated, you should:

  1. take the latest technical preview of the plugin by (Version of technical overview of VMware vCenter Orchestrator plug-in for VMware vSphere 5.5.x)

  2 disable the inventory service in setting the property "com.vmware.o11n.vim.useInventoryService" to "false" (in vmo.properties).

  • Ability to disable the use of the service of inventory by setting the value of the java system property "com.vmware.o11n.vim.useInventoryService" to "false" (in vmo.properties).

  It is the very generic error message. If you look in the server.log - vco server log file you will find more specific error information. If it is not confidential you can contact here I can take a look.

  We simply configure vCenter Orchestrator in our vCenter Server to familiarize themselves with it.

  In vcenter Orchestrator client and vSphere Web Client, we do not have the vCenter workflow in the library.

  Under plug-ins in your vCO Configuration page, make sure that the plug-in vcenter is actually active. Also, go in the troubleshooting of Setup page tab, and then in the right pane, click on the link that says "Reset current version". Once you have done this, restart the vCenter Orchestrator Server service. The restart should trigger a re - install the plug-in that is supposed to give rise to import the package for each plugin so that you have all the workflows library in the vCO Client

I also have a display of Web pages can I customize myself (because you can't do this at weboperator).

  The problem that I am running is the following. I've traveled MY CUSTOM web display to run a workflow (in this case to set up a virtual machine), and he asks to my e-mail to e-mail account. • 4.1 Data Migration tool - "error: failure of the backup of the configuration of the vCenter Orchestrator.

  While following this KB article, I came across an error.  I googled a bit but it is really not a lot on that.  This process took me the better part of a month to get to this day.  Now all I have to do is migrate my databases and settings...  However, as with everything else I came against from 4.0 to 4.1 (and building a new server to do), nothing seems to be going my way with this project.

  Anyway, I executed the script of backup.bat several times and each time, it failed in the same place.  The error given is "error: failure of the backup of the configuration of the vCenter Orchestrator."  The log file has been attached.  I rebooted, made sure that all VMware services have been arrested and still no joy.

  Any help would be great!  If this isn't the case, I'll have to make another call to the support team.  I played with VMware products for years and I've never had to call until this project came.  In this month alone, I opened 4 tickets!

  I'm almost certain that this can be ignored without risk, especially if you do not use Orchestrator.  I recently made a 4.1 migration to another server and got the same error - I had any issues at all.

  I'm trying to start a workflow via a POST request to the vCenter Orchestrator API. When I run the same workflow with a GET request, there is no problem and I get the following result in the localhost_access_log.current_date.txt:

  Note that the double quotes inside the body of the request are preceded by the backslash character.

  I think it will be. If you plan to change the cert of the vRO also I think that the order should be:

  -Change the certificate of the vRO. If you are using a public CA certificate that all the imported certificates will be deleted form the keystore that we create new keystore in the present case.

  -Change the certificate of vCenter.

  -Import the certificate vCenter vCO.

• Internal error trying to add vCenter Orchestrator Endpoint

  Hi team,

  I am trying to configure vCAC 6.0 using the inbult Orchestrator 5.5.1 However when I try to add the vCO by accessing Home > Administration > Services Advacned > endpoints and click on the + adds vCenter Orchestrator plug-ins such as endpoints so that you can create service plans with Advanced Services Designer and publish the workflow as catalog items. I get the following error:

  Internal error An internal error has occurred. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator. When you contact your system administrator, use this reference: d6c92026

  I tried to connect to vCO by using the following accounts, but this has not helped to solve the problem:

  It seems to me that the error is always flagged only when I try to run the task above. Can someone please help me solve this problem?

  8281 is the correct port. Probably, you must use Basic authentication and insert the credentials of the user that you use to sign in to the vCO client.

  I hope it would be only certain types of admins/helpdesk do PW reset because you must connect to the WebView in order to run the workflow... in any case, you can follow this tutorial for a Webview based in vCO:

  Regarding the other prerequisites:

  vCO must have the ad plugin installed and configured to use SSL when communicating your AD environment. It is a requirement for users created with passwords and resetting passwords.

  When you get to the step of the tutorial for mapping a workflow, you'll want to use the workflow to "Change password". This is a workflow of library Active Directory that are available after the installation of the plugin AD and the vCenter Orchestrator Server service restarts.

  1. There are hundreds of workflows available for vCenter vCenter plug-in turned in vCO. If there is not a workflow that does what you need, then you can probably write your own or use some of these workflow library in combination to do what you need.
  2. Yes, you can use the workflow operations or the plug-in of SSH to connect to the guest Linux OS and run scripts. Customization of Linux is also supported for the operation as Clone/customize, and material of the add/edit like any other virtual computer.
  3. See the documentation of official response please. vCO Server can run under Linux (vCO device) or 64-bit Windows operating system. VCO Client can be run on Linux, Windows 64 - bit or 32 - bit, and OSX. As has been pointed out by Techstarts, are taken care of according to VMware (vCenter) guest operating system.

  Thanks for the tip. I was able to start the service by stopping the Foglight Quest agent running on the box first, then by restarting VCO. The article stresses that increase the RAM would help, however the virtual machine has been set to 10 GB, with abundance available for the JAVA virtual machine, but I always saw the issues mentioned in the wrapper.log file.

  I'm unable to start the Server service of vco on Windows 2008 R2 machine. If I try to restart the service it displays the following error;

  "Service server vmware vcenter orchestrator on local computer started and then stopped. "Some services stop automatically when not in use by other services or programs.

  First check the configuration of the vCO application and that all green lights. If this isn't the case difficulty what the problem is.

  If everything is green, see the server.log file and look for FATAL / ERROR.
