IOException: error = 12, not enough space when the duplication of external process

Hi all

I've encountered the question as:

java.io.IOException: cannot run program "/ usr/local/bin/sudo ': error = 12, not enough space
at java.lang.ProcessBuilder.start(ProcessBuilder.java:460)
at java.lang.Runtime.exec(Runtime.java:593)
at java.lang.Runtime.exec(Runtime.java:466)
...
Caused by: java.io.IOException: error = 12, not enough space
at java.lang.UNIXProcess.forkAndExec (Native Method)
to java.lang.UNIXProcess. < init > (UNIXProcess.java:53)
at java.lang.ProcessImpl.start(ProcessImpl.java:65)
at java.lang.ProcessBuilder.start(ProcessBuilder.java:453)

When I tried to call an external script by Runtime.exec. I checked the physical memory and swap, two of them were more than 2 GB at the point where the exception was thrown. The same exception was thrown by the other processes external duplication of wire...

Everyone please throw me some lights on this issue? I have seen no exception OutOfMemoryError either from my application.

Thank you and best regards.

You're out of swap space. Nothing to do with local memory, heap, OutOfMemoryErrors, etc.

  • Not enough space when the upgrade to vCOPS 5

    Hello

I do an upgrade to vCOPS 5, and when I try to import data from my older versions of vCOPS and Caron, I get the error message "space for" insufficient to run the update  I've attached a screenshot of the message.

Can someone tell me how I could get around issues of what there is absolutely nothing in the Guide deployment for this kind of scenario.

The Deployment Guide said that you the user interface and the virtual machines Analytics must be certain dimensions according to the size of deployment that you do (small, medium, large), but when you deploy the VAPP, 2 virtual machines disk sizes are talking about size.

I hope someone can give me some answers.

    Thank you

This means that there is not enough disk space in the VMs freshly deployed to contain all of the data to import vcops 1.x/CapIQ 1.5.x. first check the use of the space of 1.5 of Caron and vcops 1.x by running "df-k/data" on each of the virtual machines. The second disc of VM UI must have a free space of at least 110% of/data of the CIQ. The second disc of VM Analytics must have a free space of at least 110% of VCOps 1.x/data. Most likely it is not the case, so turning off the vApp, add new disks of appropriate size (think of 110% of current data + future sizing) to each of the virtual machines and turn the vApp. You can then restart the wizard.

  • Cannot convert Server 2008 R2 Machine get error: Instant The VSS cannot be stored, because there is not enough space on the source volumes or because the source computer does not all NTFS volumes. Error code: 2147754783 (0x8004231F).

I have a couple of server 08 R2 machines where the P to V conversion fails.  I did some research and the problem seems to be related to the system reserved Partition that has 0% available 100 MB free space.  Conversion fails with the error below.

VSS snapshots cannot be stored because there is not enough space on the source volumes or because the source computer has not all NTFS volumes. Error code:
    2147754783 (0x8004231F).

Someone had this problem and came to the top with a solution or to get around?

    Thanks in advance

Guessed it.  My snapshots Appassure did not also exist with a similar error, so that's what I did to solve it.  My servers now converted without any problem.

    1. Open disk management.
    2. Look at the partition of the PRS and see if it is 100% full.
      • If Yes, proceed to step 3.
      • If this is not the case, check if there are readers who have no more of 300 MB free (minimum requirement to use VSS).
    3. Click a drive, select properties and then select the instant snapshots tab.
    4. Ensure that all shadow copies are disabled and no limit on all players.
    5. Go to the partition of the SRP and assign the B:drive letter.
    6. Open the B: drive via disk management, and then locate the folder System Volume Information. Note: if necessary, change the folder options so that you can view hidden files, folders and drives.
    7. Right-click the System Volume Information folder, and then select Properties.
    8. On the Security tab, click Edit, and then add the group with full control everyone in the folder.
    9. Open the System Volume Information folder (you should see log files are full), open a running as an administrator command prompt and then type the following commands to unload the filter driver.
      • B:
      • B:\>FLTMC UNLOAD AAFSFLT
    10. Navigate to the System Volume Information folder, and then type the following commands:
      • B:\>CD System Volume Information
      • B:\System Volume Information > AALOG_ DEL * (this will remove all of the log files, and then re-create a new)
      • B:\System Volume Information > CD\
      • B:\>FLTMC LOAD AAFSFLT
    11. Close the command prompt window.
    12. In Windows, right click on the reserve system folder and remove the Group everyone.
    13. In Disk Manager, remove the B: drive (and click Yes when prompted with a warning window).

  • Not enough space on the store of data error

I just created a new virtual machine and the data store has 1 GB free, but when I try to turn on the virtual machine, I get the error ' not enough space on the data error store '.

What is the minimum data required to power the virtual computer space? I thought that 1 GB is a lot of space...

That is also correct long as you do not have a defined reserve, because don't forget the size of the by vm vmkernel swap file is equal to the memory assigned to the virtual machine minus the reserve memory.

    Hello

    1. what operating system is installed on the computer?
    2. you have any third-party backup software installed on the computer?

Start the shadow copy volume service and see if the problem persists.
    a: click Start > run
    b
: type Services.msc in the start search box and click on enter.
c: Are now looking for a shadow copy volumeservice, double-click it to open it.
d: make sure that the Service is started and set to Automatic.

Shadow copy is a technology included in Microsoft Windows that allows taking manual or automatic backup copies or snapshots of data, even if it has a lock on a volume that is specific to a precise moment in time on regular intervals.
There should be more space on the backup destination media to take successfully no matter what data should be backed up from the source backup media.

    Hope this information helps.

  • Why I see Runtime Error R6016-not enough space for thread data?

All of a sudden when I try to launch Google Chrome, I get "error R6016-not enough space for thread data? ' like Chrome stops. Plenty of hard disk, disk defragmented, no viruses or malware. Never seen this message before.

I think you're on the right track to reinstall Chrome... but they have a method of choice for the best results and that the information is here:

    http://support.Google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=111899

Just FYI, running sfc/scannow won't help, but it will waste your time and you will not be able to determine which file is causing the problem because...

When sfc/scannow runs successfully, you will see a start and complete message in the Event Viewer log system.

It can take a long time to run and slow down your system.  When it starts and stops correctly you can only see events like this in the case where the system log viewer:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Windows File Protection
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 64016
Analysis of file File Protection Windows has been started.

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Windows File Protection
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 64017
Windows File Protection file analysis completed successfully.

There is no information about what he did or what he did not.

Even if sfc/scannow finds something to do, you will not know about it.

That's why try again more than a waste of time.

  • Not enough space on the data store

I created a VM w2k8 server. I have attached a second virtual drive to it in the vsphere client determined I gave him too much space. I went back in the vshere client and click on delete. Now, when I go to add a second drive with the right amount of space I want t use I get error not enough space on the data store. I noticed that the old file vdmk still exist but do not know how to proceed. It is a 5 ESX environment and the data store is on the SAN. Space on the windows server is listed as unallocated.

Hello and welcome to the community of VMware. Well I would like to browse the data store and make sure that there are no vmdk files sitting here that, if the other wise not to be there. Have a go at this and feedback your conclusions.

    Best wishes.

  • Windows 7 says that my drive is not enough space - when it is almost empty.

I've been moving files from one disk of 1 TB on an empty 2 TB drive. So far, I moved on 200 GB on 2 TB drive. Twice today for moving groups of files that were 3 to 10 GB, my machine was told that he was not "enough space" on the reader target when there was, indeed, 1.6 TB of space empty remaining. After clicking on the 'try' new 'button' about 15 or 20 times, the machine is softened and allows me to move the files.

The target disk is new and has no bad sectors and on which I run chkdsk today.  I never saw this problem in Windows XP.

Taking into account the comment of Joel, what it has always been faster use copy it / stick and then delete the old file that order, use the command move.

It sounds like this host has already been improved 3.x! In this case you will not be able to upgrade to 5.x using the Manager to update because of the small partition/boot (99 MB).

to remedy the hosts against a basic upgrade

... You cannot use Update Manager to upgrade to 5.0 ESXi host, if the host has upgraded ESX 3.x to ESX 4.x. These hosts have not enough free space in the partition/Boot to support the process of update Update Manager. Use either interactive or scripted upgrade.
