IOM pinning via the port-channel

Hello

It seems to me that, with UCS manager 1.4 and higher, it is possible to setup the pinning of the IOM through the port-1-channel.

I couldn't find any configuration guide for this kind of configuration.

Can you help me or inform me on this subject?

Thanks in advance.

Nicolas.

Hi Nicolas,.

+ The feature is only available with the 2.0 and 2.0 material, i.e. a combination of FI and IOM 22xx 62xx.

the option is available on the same page as the page of chassis discovery strategies.

-> Hardware tab select hardware-> policies-> global Polocies-> preferences to group link (right)

The PowerConnect switches do not have the ability to show as much detail as the Force10 can. The RMON tables have an interface use %, what may be the closest we can do on the PowerConnect switch.

    #show rmon statistics

I've seen some monitoring software which was able to question the switch via SNMP and get some information of bandwidth. However, this can be a bit inconsistent, according to which switch and what software is used.

The MIBs/OID can be downloaded with the software switch.

  • Access to the network of a device ethernet via the ports of the router.

I was wondering if someone can help me with a router configuration. I have an ethernet device, a built-in Digi Connect me stack ethernet. I put the IP, subnet, gateway, etc. on this device. It has a serverver web and telnet and FTP features. What I want to do, this is the device connected to a WRT54GS router to one of the ports on the back. Then I want to connect internet routers connecting to my local network. On the LAN, I have a PC I want to use to access the web page of the Digi device through the router. The LAN has affected the PC an IP address of 3.11.201.33 and assigns the router IP Internet of 3.11.201.32. The PC is set to dynamically set an IP address. I have configured the Digi device to have an IP address of 192.168.1.100. I want to open a web page on the PC and connect a digi device. I can't get this to work. I tried to add the IP address of the device Digi to the DMZ on the router, but that did not help. How can I get from the PC via the LAN, through the router, on the port that is connected to the Digi? Any help is apprecieated!

Outgoing FTP for multiple devices behind the router need not any special installation... you will not need to pass all the ports for that.

You can port forward more than a device with the stock firmware digi... I just forgot how port forwarding 'niche roles' it is on the page... the WRT54G V5 has 10, so assuming that no other device in transmitted port, you should be able to forward the ports ftp and telnet for 5 devices.

  • How to run the Xbox 360 via the port monitor on Qosmio G20

I just bought an Xbox 360 on eBay with a VGA cable which must connect the console directly to the port external monitor on my Qosmio, theoretically allowing me to use the screen on my laptop as screen for my video games.

I'm just a little worried that this port at the back of my Qosmio is technically to connect another monitor, not an input device, so it will work? And if so, how do I do?

I intend to spend a little time DIY autour with it when the console gets, but I guess it should be as simple hanging everything and then do it through media library or even simply initialize the TV itself rather than with the laptop everything?

Ideas, ideas, tips or advice (especially if you did before or know someone who has) would be appreciated.

  • Portege M200: big screen via the port replicator

I have a Portege M200 with APR III. I realized that the DVI Jack does not work with it, even if for some reason any, even though they are not supposed to all other ports don't. EACH of them!

What I'm asking today is how the hell can I get the laptop out on the big screen through the APR? I tried everything, it has the chipset nVidia go 5200 FX (which is able to output DVI according to nVidia)

I just got a Philips 20 "widescreen TFT and got tired of watching her in the stretched standard resolutions.

One of my friends has also Tosh lappy, but it's a Tecra 9100, which will be released on the big screen without any questions whatever it is standard, it appears as an option in the Billboard settins. In addition, nVidia say that this chipset is capable of custom resolutions, but I can't find it in the updated anywhere driver.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

Well the Tecra9100 is not a Portege M200. Are completely different books.
The M200 protected does not support these interfaces.
This is a technical limitation, that the port of mouse PS/2 keyboard PS/2 port, serial port, I Link (Firewire) port and DVI port
will be not supported on the Advanced Port Replicator III, if a protected M200 is moored.

The following ports are supported and can be used:
Line-in Jack, taken Line-out, USB port, port external monitor, parallel port, taken Modem, LAN jack, DC IN 15V, housing for security lock, locking the computer.
In the documentation for the Advanced Port Replicator III is a 'fact sheet for III Advanced Port Replicator"sheet where this limitation is descripted.

  • CAN I turn stop wireless to router but always send signals to an external antenna via the port?

Can I stop/start of my Wired main WRT54G wireless and always send the signal through a WAP browser & directional external antenna plugged into the hub?

How to allow only my own devices to use my bandwidth?

Using WPA password on WRT hub.

Drive Blu - Ray and AT & T Microcell Tower allow other titles-WPA2...?

Can I block the antenna attached to the main hub of sought but allow the port to send signals at access point?

Shields of aluminum foil over the main router antenna would cease its output signal? (if I remove them to allow the occasional portable navigation)

If you want, you can disable the feature on your primary router WRT54G wireless and use WAP to send the wireless signal.

Open the router configuration page and go to the Wireless tab, change the mode of network to people with reduced mobility. Save the settings.

If your wireless network is secure only your wireless computer can connect to the wireless network and use the bandwidth. So, make sure your wireless network secure.

Consult the manual for your Bluray and AT & T Tower and see if they take in charge WPA2.

  • Unable to connect 2 external monitors via the Port Replicator using Portege Z30 - 16U

    Hi all

I need hell, I just moved from another laptop for Portege Z30 - 16U, I spent hours trying to connect my 2 external monitors to my Replicator Port Hi-Speed III 120W, but my laptop will see a monitor.

I used 2 external monitors with my laptop for years because I do a lot or reading and I don't want to use the one and the laptop screen.

I tried the mixture of a VGA and a HDMI and VGA cables, but nothing works.

Can anyone tell me how I can connect and discover 2 external monitors with this laptop and port replicator, I can't believe that this is not possible, it makes no sense that Toshiba would then technilogically behind other laptop manufacturers.

    Thank you

    Hello

I'm not familiar with the Z30 Portreplicator, but the general behavior of the replicators of the double-displayconnector, is that 1 can be used.
    Not 2 simultaneously.

I could be wrong, and you should easily be able to check it out - use only 1 at a time.
    First, then the other.
If the two works when used alone, then my suspicion is right.

    I hope this helps!

  • Cannot sync to the device via the serial port

I have to read the data with a DSP associated with an EKG. For this I need 5 bytes (0x00 0x80 0x00 0x80 0x00) in a specific order that are sent through the port every second. I followed the data sent via the port and these 5 bytes are actually get received, however I havnt managed to find with my VI. I tried many different ideas without success and maybe Im doing something wrong. My latest attempt uses a waiting on event so I won't miss all the data. Ideas? See what I'm missing?
    I'd appreciate any help!

I think you are using the wrong function.  You use Match true/false String.  Said context-sensitive help "examine beginning of string to see if it matches the true or false string. This function returns a Boolean TRUE or FALSE value in the selection, depending on whether the string is true or false string. "Well, suppose that the string isn't everything at the beginning, but as another byte in front of her?  It will not find the search for string.  And the wiring of the same search in True and False are strange because if it is found, then it is both true and false at the same time.

You should use search and replace or search/Split string to determine if and where the search string is inside the largest chain.  (I would take research/Split).  If the string is not found it returns-1, otherwise it returns the location of the string.  And it has the advantage of any return after the game you could feed in the shift register for a search on the next iteration.

  • connecting to the port Series 9 pins

I have Vista Business. I use a scanner that uses a serial connection. He has always worked in XP and I couldn't use hyoperterminal 0 test the. Now, there is no test for the port. I can't get the data via the port and I'm not familiar with telnet or knowledge if we can test the port. My port may be blocked? I truned disable the firewall and no luck. I place the receiver program as a program exception in the firewall, but the digitizer is what sends the data to the port not the software on the system.

    Any ideas?

    Hello Frank Gregg,.

    ·         The digitizer is displayed in Device Manager when you connect?

    ·         You have the drivers installed for the scanner?

    ·         Who is the manufacturer of your scanner?

    ·         What exactly are you using the digitizer for?

    ·         What is the name of the program that you use to perform the test?

I suggest you contact the manufacturer for the digitizer get the drivers to connect with Vista.

If the device shows working in Device Manager then you can try to perform the test for the ports.

  • Problems with an external monitor with the Port Replicator III and M100

    Hey all.

I just returned from a trip where I took my laptop. Plugged into the Port Replicator port, started and everything was fine. Then after an hour or two, the monitor stopped receiving a signal. I repositioned the laptop and everything was good again. He then loses signal once again, and I was not able to get a signal via the port replicator since.

The monitor works fine through the hole at the rear of the M100.

I checked the pins on the Port Replicator port and portable, none folded and tried to clean any dust etc. Still no signal to the monitor.

Someone has ideas of how to do to solve this problem?

    Hey there Mac5321,

You can connect any monitor to this port? The port on the GPU works at all? Have you tried another port VGA, HDMI or other available to connect to any monitor at all? The computer worked before?

I try to reset the BIOS to its default settings and retry the system if it will bring an image to any monitor. The fault may be in the GPU or motherboard not providing the connection appropriate for video output. Is the computer works properly, the fans spinning, initial POST beep, etc.?

  • Setting port channel between UCS - FI and MDS 9124 (Mode F)

    Dear team,

We tried to create the channel of port between UCS FI and MDS 9124

But the port channel do not take action in mode F on MDS 9124

FI is in host FC end Mode

We have allowed FC uplink on FI trunking

We have activated NPIV on MDS

We have activated the MDS trunk

FI and MDS in default VSAN

To check that we have changed the way FI FC channels mode and switch port became active, but in E mode

When we enabled CF trunking of uplink on the port mode FI channels and FC Switching became active in mode TE

but in both cases above, showflogi database shows WWPN of SAN alone does not have the any fi.

    How to achieve this?

Have read that no need to change the mode switching mode of CF swicthing and keep FC Endhost way

SO how to channel ports with mode F MDS and FI (Display Mode as NProxy)

What is it has nothing to do with the MDS NX - OS version? (https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2179129)

If yes how to put as license for ports came with the camera and we don't have any CAP/PAK or license file as she came

    with license

    Also, we saw 2 files available for download (m9100-s2ek9-kickstart - mz.5.2.8 .bin and m9100-s2ek9 - mz.5.2.8 .bin b b) to use

    Thanks and greetings

    Jose

    Hi Jo Bo.

What version of the software if your MDS race?

On your UCS do connect nxos and show ficelleStringString ficelleT inteface and find the mac address.

It is possible that you could be hitting the bug below. If this is the case, you may need to update the firmware on your MDS.

    Add MAC YES '002a6a', '8c604f', '00defb' for 5 k/UCS-FI
