iOS device Orientation question

I develop with AIR Flash CS5.5 3.1 overlay.

I want to manage my rotating objects rather than to have AIR turn automatically.

I put the auto orientation on/true, and I use the values of event.afterOrientation StageOrientationEvent.ORIENTATION_CHANGING in a switch/case statement to pass a string argument to my personalized orientation change handler. I also use preventDefault() to keep the AIR automatically turn the scene because my code is running my app.

The application launches in portrait orientation / default and my custom rotation Manager works for all directions except when I try to rotate the iPad in portrait orientation / by default.

This seems to be a bug? Why a change of orientation to portrait / by default would not fire a StageOrientationEvent.ORIENTATION_CHANGING event?

Thanks for the clues that I'm on...

It was easier than the accelerometer data tracking. Instead, I was able to read the value of stage.deviceOrientation using a timer of the half second and call my custom rotation functions based on the value. I still listen to change so that I can preventDefault() orientation.

  • Can a parent create an child (on the child device) apple ID if they don't have their own IOS device?

    I have a a question:

My child receives a device ios as a gift, and requires an apple ID to use. However, is it possible to create an id apple of child for the child on his device, because I don't own other IOS devices.  As long as the creation of the ID child apple can be done, even if monitoring features are lost, I would be fine.

If my child has an id apple child (or as a last resort, using mine) when they reached the age to have their OWN apple ID, all the contents of the previous ID number can then be transferred to a new one? Even if all downloaded content is FREE, all messages/emails will also be lost? It is quite confusing.

Is anyway to transfer the contents of one ID to another? Because, as always, children are growing up!

Any help would be appreciated! =)

Also... it is possible to monitor an id child from a windows pc/phone apple? Just a yes/no question here.

Thank you! (Btw, I read almost all the family sharing Guides, no outside help would be appreciated)

An account for child (under 13 years), which can be created only in the context of a family sharing, can be created on an iPod Touch: Apple ID for your child - Apple Support and sharing of the family

If you are not using a family sharing you must have a method of payment (credit or debit card) on your account (assuming you are the family Organizer) to pay for his purchases (if she has a balance of iTunes gift cards on his account that will be used before your card being charged).

If my child has an id apple child (or as a last resort, using mine) when they reached the age to have their OWN apple ID, all the contents of the previous ID number can then be transferred to a new one?

An id of the child will become a normal account when they reach the age - you have to create a new account in the future, but if you do all of its existing purchases/downloads will remain linked to its existing account, they cannot be transferred to another.

is it possible to monitor an id child from a windows pc/phone apple?

Depends on what exactly you want to do. You can view the purchase a history via iTunes (PC or Mac) to your computer (see your purchase history in iTunes store on Mac or PC - Apple Support), and you can view past purchases of 90 days (and possibly to contact iTunes support if there is a problem with a purchase, for example if a piece of music does not play etc) on an account via http://reportaproblem.apple.com

  • Backup both iCloud and Mac iOS devices?

I went to a Genius Bar appointment today where the genius told me I can't back up my devices iOS by connected directly to my Mac. He said that the backup to iCloud over wifi is the same thing and I need to do both. He said if I've changed devices, I could do the restoration completely to iCloud, I don't have to restore from a Mac or time Machine.

Can it be true? What applications I, who hold their own data? Can I count on iTunes store up to iCloud?

Secondly, whenever I plug in my device iOS directly on my mac, iTunes/Photos wonder if I want to import a large number of photos, and then I end up with duplicates in my library of Photos.

Of course, it is true. Since the launch of iCloud, Apple gives you the ability to save your iCloud or your like before Mac iOS devices. The advantage to backup your iPhone to iCloud, is that a backup is performed automatically when you load your iPhone and it is connected to a Wi - Fi network. See-> about backups in iCloud and iTunes - Apple Support

Note that you can do iCloud backups backups and iTunes at the same time if you wish. When you plug your iPhone to your Mac, iTunes will keep the possibility to make a local backup if you want to.

Regarding your second question, I suggest to create a second thread with it, so that you don't mess this thread with different themes. This will allow people with the same issue find the answer quickly.

  • Why iTunes opens after an iOS device is disconnected?

I recently deselected the option to open iTunes when my iOS devices connect to my MacBook and indeed, iTunes doesn't open when either becomes connected. That option seems missing from the iTunes latest version update, but I digress.

The problem I'm facing is happening when I unplug the MacBook is iOS device: iTunes opens immediately after the unit disconnects independently to know if the device was manually ejected via iTunes before you leave.

A few details about my products:

    MacBook (13-inch, aluminum, late 2008) | 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo | 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 | NVIDIA GeForce 9400 M 256 MB | 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA HDD

    Mac OS X 10.11.5

    iTunes 12.4.0.119

    iPhone 6 more, 128 GB

iPad 16 GB Wi - Fi + cell Air

    iOS 9.3.2

The answer to my question was, "iScrobbler cause iTunes to reopen once your iOS device disconnects". All I had to do was leave iScrobbler to my problem to solve.

  • CD on laptop but not iOS devices

I have a CD in my laptop iTunes library that does not appear on my iOS devices. My laptop says I have 6 CD of this artist, but according to my iOS devices 5. What can I do to make re - sync?

Connect it to your computer. Open iTunes, select the iDevice icon that should appear in the toolbar area. This should display the content on the device. Select the music option. You should now see what music is installed or not. Make sure that you check the box for the CD that you want or click on the entire music library option if you want the entire iTunes music library. Then click on the option to synchronize at the bottom.

If you can't find the CD in question, then its content has not yet been loaded into iTunes.

Update to 9.3.1 iOS will cause questions to my iPhome 6 and iPod 5th generation

I have a lot of important things about them that I don't want to lose

and I can't save them because my computer is broken

I can't promise anything but through discussions on the forum questions to 9.3.1 vs threads have reported problems for 9.3, there are significantly fewer problems for 3.1 3.

You can always save things until you do (honestly, it is advisable to always back up your device before installing new software)

Even with a broken computer you can save things via iCloud, or simply important files to yourself by email or use something like dropbox, of them for download at.

  • When I rename an iOS device should I update my iCloud account?

I have four iOS devices: two iPhones and two iPads. If I rename one of them (in settings, general, all) what I need to also connect to applid.apple.com and play with the list of devices, named it there? The same question could be applied if I get rid of an iPad and relpace with a version more recent. (Maybe when installing I could give the most recent of the same name than the one it replaces...)

The point being, of course, I don't want to run afowl of the limit of five magical device in the App Store.

Responded to me via Apple assistance call. (1) the limit is 10 devices and not 5 as I thought. (2) devices can be modified and managed by logging to the appleid account, addition or subtraction of the devices. (I could even, as I said, provide the new iPad with the same name as my other older and simplify my own danged 'accounting'.) So there. Thanks for supporting.

Yes, its working very well. This image is in a picture file in a project itself.

Same thing I want to do this the image url.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Kind regards

    a. you only see the image in preview if encode you this url in amx?

    b. can you try to add *. iconbug.* whitelist and try. (You can do this MAF - application.xml-> Security-> remote URL whitelist)

    Kind regards

  • File.upload ActionScript does not work on Air SDK for iOS devices

I try to use the ActionScript File.upload to transfer a file on Air SDK for iOS environment, but the File.upload does not work properly. When it is run on the simulator of the Air, it works very well as expectedand the file is successfully downloaded to the server. But when run on iOS devices (in my case, iPad), as I explained at the beginning, no event on the file upload handler is executed and not the http request has even hit the server. So I think that the problem may come from the client side.

During my attempt to solve the problem, I found something complicated about this problem on iOS7. In other words, if you call the URLLoader.load method (although the URLLoader.load points to an address non-existed) before calling the File.upload method, the File.upload will work as expected on iOS7. Specifically, when the above OnTrickyButtonPressed method is run before the OnUploadButtonPressedmethod, File.upload will succeed on iOS7. But this only happens on iOS7. On iOS8, File.upload still refuses to work, regardless of knowing if the URLLoader.load is executed before.

I think in my case, the problem is not the problem of sandbox or a session of Firefox problem described in the two links below, because not even a http request hit the side server. It seems that the Air SDK for iOS comes to fail send the http reason request any.

    http://StackOverflow.com/questions/5967382/Flex-4-FileReference-issues-with-Firefox

    http://StackOverflow.com/questions/351258/how-do-i-make-Flex-file-upload-work-on-Firefox-a nd-safari

To make my problem clear, I list my environment below:

    • Development environment: Windows7 (64-bit) / Mac os 10.9.4 (tested on both OS platforms.)
    • IDE: Flash Builder 4.7
    • Air SDK: 3.8 / 16.0.0 (after that I have updated to the latest Air SDK 16.0.0, problem persists.)
    • Application server: Tomcat7 + spring

Finally, I want to mention that download the file using URLLoader.load isn't an option in my case because I want to download large files in the future, which cannot be addressed with the URLLoader.load.

I struggled with this for days. If I really appreciate it if anyone has an idea about this.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi KA RYU.

We have reproduced the issue successfully, our team would work on it.

  • iOS device is prompting to use the microphone?

I submitted an app for Apple and he rejected for the following reason: "During the review, we have been asked to provide consent to use the microphone, however, we were not able to find features or features that use the microphone for recording audio."

Apparently, my application requires the device to use the microphone. However, I did program a feature that uses the microphone.

My application only if, have sound, however, does not have programmed in microphone features. This question has never happed before and may be the case on iOS devices 7.

  • Photos shared on iOS devices use data?

I have created a number of shared albums in the Photos on my Mac and iOS devices.

I invited a person to see a shared album which had mobile data off on their iOS device and no wifi. However, they were able to access a shared album which surprised me because I assume they would have need of mobile data or wifi.

Shared albums are stored locally on the iOS devices. Photos downloads smaller and optimized versions pictures of an iPhone. iCloud, sharing photos - Apple Support

  • is it possible to create something GarageBand for Mac and share with someone using an iOS device to be able to add and send it back?

OK, here's the deal. I have a friend who is interested in working on musical ideas through GarageBand. He has an iPad Pro (not sure 1st or 2nd gen). and I use my 6 + or 1 Air iPad iPhone or a MacBook Pro. didn't matter that the one that I use because it can't open them with the iPad Pro, even if he sent it to me first. I am only able to open what it sends to my MacBook, although...

Is this possible? Very convenient to add titles and the return device to added again and so on? One might think that these devices would be able to work this way with each other.

    Thank you

GarageBand on an iOS device cannot open GarageBand for Mac projects, but a mac can open GarageBand compatible for iPhone/iPad projects.

So, you might send your friend only mixed audio files. Your friend should add the sound to the Music.app on the iPad Pro and then add the new joint audio tracks in GarageBand. It is quite complicated, because you need to merge the titles added your friend in your original on the Mac project.

  • Remove photos from ios devices.

If I delete the photos on my ipad or iphone original will always be in my library icloud?

I would still be able to access my photos, my icloud, on my ios devices, but do not want to store photos on them. I already have icloud configuration to optimize storage and photo stream is disabled on ipad, but turned on, on my iphone.  It's possible?

The warning that I get when I delete a photo tells me that it will also be deleted in iCloud.

have you thought about a service like Flickr? You can configure it to automatically download photos, and he keeps private until make them you public. It is also free and works on android, iOS, and office. (Given the iCloud limit size, that's what Ive started to use for my photos, you get a terabyte of space instead of 5 gig)

And beyond their downloading, what you change on Flickr is not performing what is on your device and vice versa... I deleted the photos off my camera and had them again are on my flickr.
