  • My iPad keeps disconnecting my wifi network

My iPad 32 gigabit wifi with iOS 9.3.1 Pro keeps on disconnecting from my wifi network. From time to time I connect it disconnects just randomly and sometimes it makes me even to make the password again. I don't think it happens by other networks, but I don't know because I don't really bring my iPad too. Please help me fast! Thank YOU, a proud lover of Apple Inc..

This started to happen to me recently too, I have the iPad Pro for about a month. It may be the 9.3.1. Update. It's apparently only happening on my home network and my Netgear R7500 (the worst tech purchase I made) is notoriously bad on the network of 5 GHz because of the chip Quantenna barely supported, which was abandoned by Netgear, shortly after the release, and as soon as they could they have released a R7500v2 with another type of chip for the 5 GHz band.

So, I don't know who is to blame, it's probably a combination of both. I also have problems with this router and my Nexus 6 p, but apparently not with my other devices (iPad, iPod Touch gen mini retina 6, iPhone SE and Nexus devices). The difference with disconnects on the N6P is the phone disconnects and reconnects, the iPad Pro reconnect and exactly like you, sometimes it asks for the password again.

  • How can we keep our ipad to disconnect wifi?

We use an ipad to connect to our timeclock but it keeps disconnecting WiFi. We have other computers and Kindle that are in the office, but they

Don't disconnect wi - fi. We need the ipad to stay connected 24/7 for use as we are a company that is open 24/7. How can keep us connected?

    Thank you!

Do you have connected? If the iPad goes to sleep and is not plugged, it switch off Wifi. But even if it does, it should resume as soon as you wake up.

The problem may be on the side of the router, too. You can check your router settings.

  • iPhone disconnected during the software update

My iPhone 5 has been connected to iTunes on my PC and I started a software update.  The phone disconnected during the update due to a bad cable.  Now my phone is locked to the screen update showing the apple logo.   I can't turn off it normally to reboot and iTunes does not recognize the phone when I plug it back on my PC.   Any ideas?

Use the recovery mode as described here.  You may try to go into recovery mode more than once to succeed.

    Hey there rknappe,

I see that you have a problem with your iPad that freezes when you try to use it. Looks like you already tried rebooting the iPad, which only solves the problem temporarily. I would suggest that you first back up your iPad, then try to restore the iPad by following the steps in this article:

4 IPad keeps going to power off of the screen, the screen is cracked but do not know if I need to replace the screen button or power?

Press the sleep/wake and Home buttons and hold for at least 10 seconds.

If this is not enough, take a look at these articles Support from Apple:

If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch does not respond or does not turn on - Apple Support

Use iTunes to restore the iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

As a final step, try recovery mode. Turn off your unit, then plug it to your computer with the hold home button. Hold down Home button until you see the logo on the screen of your iPhone iTunes. After that on your computer, you should see the iTunes window saying that your iPhone needs to be restored to factory settings. Click Restore.

  • Laptop keeps disconnecting the connection but not others

I have two laptop computers Toshiba Satellite A300D and A500-13F and a new Linksys WRT120N router. A300D has an Atheros AR9281 wireless network adapter, while A500 has Intel(r) WiFi Link 5100 AGN, and both have Vista 32. It's the A500 which keeps disconnect the connection, it's as if it keeps restarting from the router. It will do this every few minutes and I can't do anything normally on the internet.

I tried to do something but nothing works. Updating the drivers for the adapter on the A500 does not resolve the issue, although A300D works normally without updates, so there must be something wrong with the adapter on the A500. I also have sellected maximum performance in Power Options > change plan settings > change advanced power settings > wireless card settings, because I read somewhere that energy-efficient settings can interfere with the adapter. I thought that this solution worked until he started to lose and by restoring the link again. Everyone guess what else could be wrong? I generally know how to fix things, but the wifi is a new thing for me and don't know much.

Yes, in this scenario, this could be the problem with the adapter. Then I suggest that you contact the hardware vendor.

  • El Capitan to 10.11.6 now airport Time Machine keeps disconnecting update

I've just updated El Capitan to 10.11.6.  Now the airport Time Machine keeps disconnecting. Any suggestions?

Time Machine is a software on your Mac, which is used to save the contents of your Mac (s) at an airport Time Capsule.

An Airport Time Capsule is a wireless router with a hard drive built-in, designed to store backups Time Machine of your Mac (s).

With this in mind, could you give more details about the problem you are having?  Disconnection from the airport Time Capsule or disconnecting from Time Machine?

Do you get any error messages? If so, what exactly is the message that you receive?

  • the magic mouse keeps disconnect

Since I upgrade 10.11.5 OS, (iMac, retina-1 years material) my magic mouse keeps disconnect in the middle of my work - installed new batteries. And, when my computer is asleep, it is not wake up. Everything freezes. Any thoughts?

The index is with your comment "of the new batteries installed.    Once you have upgraded to 10,11 El Capitan, there is a mouse specially designed for this OS.   It is not really spoken aloud, but the box for the Magic Mouse 2 has a clear statement to be for OS 10.11 (+).   As operating systems go for ever higher, it may make sense to buy new mouse because all subsequent operating systems will need the facilities of this new creature.    The old mouse will work to some extent, but not, it seems, 100%.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
  • iTunes ipad 11.4 and restore not what are my options?

my elderly neighbour has a new air of iPad (1 year) she has herself locked out (is dropped to the bottom of the bear pit of the recent update iOS who wanted new security issues and then managed to lock herself out of it.)

Now, it starts with "iPad disabled connect to iTunes."

She has also a mac but this old iss (running 10.6.8 and his souvenir, I hesitate to upgrade for it.)

She never attached the iPad to itunes, so there is no chance to get it right, but I just want to get the work buffer.

The mac running iTunes 11.4 - when I go through the process of fixation of the iPad on mac and now the keys down (wake/home) - recover after only 3 hours of itunes download new iOS software (we live in a poor rural broadband) it says "extraction software" it says

"The iPad could not be restored. The device is not eligible for the requested build. »

    Argh!

Any ideas what to try next with received recognition.

An idevice running iOS9 usually requires iTunes 12.3 requiring at his lap 10.8.5 OSX or higher.  While some people managed to get iOS9 work with iTunes 11.4 if they had updated live I don't know what happens if you push your luck and try to make updates or restores.

  • Forgotten code for girls iPad restrictions, if I restore iPad I lose all its game data?

I forgot the restriction code for my daughters iPad mini, if I restore the iPad completely I'll lose all its game date (in particular clash of Clans)? Any help is appreciated...

Yes. The problem you have is that restriction is part of a code backs up the iPad. So if you delete the iPad and restore so you will restore the restriction code. Not a good thing if you don't remember the password.

    Hi strayschool,

Have you tried to put the iPad into DFU mode? Here's how...

    1. Launch iTunes on your computer and connect your iPad to your computer.
    2. Power Off the iPad by pressing the power button on the top of the iPad for 3 seconds and then drag the slider to power it off the coast.
    3. Once it is off, press and hold the power button on the top of the iPad for 3 seconds. After 3 seconds, press on and hold down the Home button and the Start button / stop for 10 seconds.
    4. After 10 seconds, release the Power button but now hold the Home button for 5 seconds. Then release the Home button.
    5. The screen stays black and the iPad should now be in DFU mode. ITunes on your computer should now say that it detects your device and you can restore it.

If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen then you are in recovery mode (not DFU) and you should try the above steps again. But maybe the recovery mode just need you to bypass the password protected iPad and you can restore... Give it a shot.

    Hope this helps!

  • Wireless connection keeps disconnecting - Satellite C650 16U

    Hello

My wireless connection keeps disconnecting frequently and I have to reconnect manually. I don't think that it is a router problem, that this does not happen with the other laptop which is used in my house. Any ideas why this is?

    Thank you

    Hi mate

I recommend you in Win 7 the power management of the energy saving settings.
There you can change (disable) WLan Card to save energy.
    It helped in my case.

    Please also check this thread:

As I have said; power management setting is the key, you must also update the WLan driver!
