IPAddress and gateway settings problem

We connect tv (panasonic with Viera link function) to the internet by cable and by sector. Have just got new computer and cannot now, t connect to the internet on television. »

What research of connection, it is said cannot find the ip address. I have found information of ip address on the computer and added only manually. The search came then to the problem with the gateway. Entered amendments. for the gateway, but that didn't work - any suggestions?

I can understand that there is problem (Panasonic TV) connection, but I see that your computer works very well on the internet. I think we should check the setting of the TV or call the internet service provider for assistance. When it comes to a network, default gateway will be the same, however, is different from the IP address of a device. Please refer to the operating manual provided by panasonic for assistance.

  • Connectivity with AT & T-Motorola 3360 and Airport Extreme problems

    Bought a new extreme-Airport (7.7.3) to replace my old AE after 9 years of service.  The installation procedure, but could not get the airport to connect with my modem (Motorola 3360).  Called at & T and they crossed put me the modem in Bridge mode and which seemed to work.  But only temporarily (about 5 hours).  Restart the modem and the airport was not working.  Troubleshooting I tried to plug my MacBook directly into the modem, but even the computer couldn't get an internet connection.  Another call to AT & T and they reconfigure the modem to their end.  After 90 minutes and try everything they could, they have finally admitted defeat and told me that they could not solve the problem.

    However, after a fairly exhaustive search of this forum, seems to be two issues that many people is with Airport extreme.  One is that the modem (in this case a Motorola 3360) is perhaps not fully compatible with the airport.  The AT & T support person was not aware of this until I asked about it, so she did a quick search and was rather surprised to see that there is a lot of people having problems with the Motorola Modem.  She told me that they use no more Motorola modems but ship the 6200 of Netgear.  "All know issues?", I asked.  She sought and, to his surprise, even once, there was.

    So, first question.  Does anyone know a modem that is compatible with the airport or use one that they had to limit problems with?

    The second question prevailing seems to be with the IPv6 protocol.  Anyone know if there are problems with the AT & T IPv6 protocol and the most extreme airport?  I did not disable IPv6 yet to see if that helps.  I thought I'd ask here first.  Couldn't find anything on the AT & T site.

    When I return from the road (great place to go to get away from technology) I will make a new round of full power of all the components and try Setup again from scratch.

    Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Miss all know profanity.

    Any other relevant information: 6.3.1 the utility Airport, Airport Extreme 7.7.3, MacBook Pro running 10.8.4, modem Motorola 3360, AT & T high speed DSL, shoe size 11-1/2 wide.

    When you have configured the 3360 as a 'bridge', this would mean that the AirPort Extreme should then be put in place to provide the PPPoE connection service. The airports are not known for their reliability in this type of installation... no matter the type of modem that you can select, so I drop this method as a connection option.

    If you want to keep the 3360... and you have time to experiment... then you can set the 3360 to its original default settings and configure the router from the airport most convenient to connect using DHCP in router Mode of DHCP and NAT.  That will produce what is called a message Double NAT, but maybe it's not of concern on a simple home network, and Apple provides you with the option 'Ignore' the Double NAT, so the airport will display a green light instead a light orange blinking slow.

    You need to try this configuration for a few days to see if the Double NAT will be a problem or not, because it is not possible to predict the effect of a Double NAT on a network... you have to test a few days see how things behave.  If this configuration works well, for you, then you can leave it as what.

    Please note that I do not recommend this type of installation, just suggesting it as an option this work could , if you want to keep the 3360.

    How Double NAT affect IPv6, I can't tell, since I did not use att for several years, and I'm not familiar with their implementation. On wired, IPv6 works fine on the airport with Comcast and Time Warner.  We can provide these parameters for you if want, but have no idea how well... (or if)... they will work with ATT.

    If the installation of Double NAT does not work, your best option would be to go there and get a modem/router or gateway to ATT device and then set up the most convenient airport in Bridge Mode works correctly with the modem/router ATT.  You will turn on the routing of ATT function in this type of installation, but the airport can also produce a signal from the wireless network that you can use.  The modem/router ATT will also provide a wireless signal that you could use for guests, or disable the feature, if you do not need two wireless networks.

    This may also be the best option if you want to configure IPv6 as IPv6 of ATT service must be compatible with the modems/routers and gateways.

  • Gateway Timeout problem

    With the help of a MacBook Pro 13' (mid-2012) El Capitan (Version 10.11.1). running

    Usually living abroad, came home last night and managed to connect my computer to the internet WiFi and my parents very well. Could access any Web site, ran perfectly. This morning I started having a problem where I can open only a small number of websites (Facebook, Youtube, Google, Apple, Wikipedia), another Web site gives me a ' Gateway Timeout: unable to connect to the remote host " message, even large reputable (NYT, etc.)."

    Here are the facts:

    • MacBook connects to the WiFi
    • MacBook restarted, the problem persisted
    • Reset the router (FRITZ!) 6360 Box cable, German provider is Unitymedia)-online everything has worked again for about 2 minutes, and then the problem comes back
    • All other computers/phones in the House has no problem, can access any Web site
    • Connected my MacBook to the Ether, has worked well. Yet once unplugged and tried WiFi problem returned. Ethernet plugged back in (with WiFi off), now, even the ethernet gives me the same problem
    • Software antiVirus Sophos's active and firewall settings and Web Protection were not yet activated (no idea why)
    • First time this question has occurred (connected to this dozens of times network and worked very well, but with the Mavericks) and has produced at night - everything worked fine yesterday and I am not aware of having made changes to anything.

    Found a thread with a person having a similar problem on another forum of support, but in his case, all its devices had the question so that, in our House, everything works but my MacBook. So I doubt that it is a problem with the provider or router.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    AntiVirus software is Sophos.

    Uninstall completely and evaluate the results.

    Use the Remove Sophos Anti-virus program. It will be installed in the folder Applications on your Mac, unless you have moved or deleted. In this case, follow the instructions in uninstalling here: https://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/122710.aspx. Beware that the effectiveness of the uninstall program is poor, a typical feature of garbage software.

  • Yahoo email won't load and store settings in the OS x mail application

    I tried to mail yahoo mail OSX El Capitan. Using the Yahoo tab in the box menu for the establishment of new accounts I can get the drop-down list to enter my email address that is recognized by Yahoo saying welcome + the address just entered. I press next to enter my password it is accepted. seconds after the drop falls again ask for the e-mail address and the password again. This time, I get the loading wheel which runs forever. After going to the doctor of connection I find mail forgot all my e-mail address and yahoo settings. It doesn't let me manually as some of the input fields are eliminated. My web yahoo mail warns me that my iMac has connected twice to my yahoo account. I went back into the box selection of accounts once again, before other suppliers named and pressed (other) then I found a button with a blue representative logo email that I have lived the same as before proceeder. Guess what? It loaded perfectly! The only problem is that this article only gives me the apps. Mail and Notes.Nothing else is available. If the Yahoo logo button had loaded, I would also have other Contacts apps.like & calendars + two other institutions. How can I get the missing apps to work using the mail icon settings?

    Is this your first attempt using Yahoo! mail on Mac? I had some weird problems with my own Yahoo! account today, and I know that sometimes he just goes a bit wonky and correct itself on its own. Unfortunately, it's a big part of the reason I do not use my Yahoo! account more.

    Have you tried to manually configure the account as an IMAP account? Y at - it none of the settings of your Yahoo! account to restrict connections and others? You have two-step verification enabled for your account?

    About 6 months ago we replaced the CMOS battery, while we struggled to find a brand new ML1220EI2 Nickel hydrogen 3V 14mAh, we had to go for a "used" quality one.

    The problem persists and I now also get this message every time that I reboot rather put into hibernation.

    Yes, the computer is a little more than 5 years and hit a little, but it is absolutely perfect in all other ways - with one exception - the main battery is completely dead. If the network becomes disconnected, I make you stop in about 3 minutes. :(

    Is it possible that the CMOS battery charge the main battery and this is my problem? I did a little research on Google and found a similar question and an answer on a Dell forum where someone has stated that the CMOS takes his food on the main battery. Would this be the case with my Equium and could buy a new battery solve my problem? I obvioiusly don't want to spend £30 + for it will not help, any response would be appreciated.

    Well, the CMOS battery can be charged with AC adapter but the laptop must be turned on for about 18 to 20 hours.
    It s not I known if battery CMOS takes the power of the main battery
    Usually the CMOS battery should always charge in work and when the laptop is plugged in
    So, theoretically the main battery has no influence on the CMOS battery.

    I think it might be a mobo problem, I think this could be a reason for it

    By the way; in most cases the CMOS battery is not removable... so I wonder how did you repalce this CMOS battery...

    Hey everybody. I have a question since lenovo seems to lack a complaints when it comes to this. I bought a used X 220 and can not identify whether she should be multitouch or pen of entry only on models. Screen part number is (according to lenovo page):

    Model number is 42962WU

    Touch screen with your finger does not work (if any).
    I don't have a stylus (pen) currently since she was not provided with the laptop BUT:
    Said property windows: no pen or touch input is available for this view.
    Reinstalled windows freshly twice as well as drivers (once downloaded manually, twice used Lenovo system update)

    Says always the same and there is no tablet or pen and touch settings in Control Panel.

    In some other subjects, someone suggested a similar problem as solution installation wacom pen drivers, lenovo Digitizer drivers etc.
    Tried the drivers provided and with each driver throws the same error: a Tablet supported is not found on the system

    Maybe there detect pen close to the laptop and it should be good?

    What operating system you are using?
    Are you running the factory settings?
    Have you tried reinstalling the drivers?

  • I have my windows automatic update. the other day, my windows updated and Ive had problems of e-mail and online video problems. I have vista Home premium OS. any suggestions?

    can receive email, but not able to send after the recent ('important') updates of windows have been installed.
    also can't see videos on facebook because of the mistakes because of these updates.
    I have the my windows update set to automatic and noticed these problems after an update has taken place. I did a system restore and everything worked fine. Needless to say the next day, the same thing. I even went to the windows update to manual setting, and it is always updated by itself. This made 4 consecutive days. now when I go to system restore, I don't even get the opportunity to go beyond 5 days! video errors on facebook tell me that "the video is unavailable" and "video has been deleted or is not visible because of the privacy settings. I also noticed that most installed updates are updates to windows security. and my windows update seems to be popping up constantly telling me ago over updates to install.

    (a) what version of IE are you using?

    (b) has been going through the steps to reset Internet explorer?

    (c) you have any version of Flash Player on your system?

    You can try to update the version of Flash Player for videos.

    To do this all first you need to uninstall and then go ahead and download the latest version and install it.

    To uninstall the application follow the steps given below:

    1. open programs and features by clicking on the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking programs, and then clicking programs and features.

    2. Select a program, and then click Uninstall. Some programs include the ability to modify or repair the program in addition to uninstall, but many simply offer the option uninstall. To change a program, click change or repair. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    You can also check if the connection parameters are set by default.

    Make follow them the steps below:

    1. open Internet Explorer.

    2. press the Alt key on your keyboard for the file menu if it is not already there.

  • Laptops acquire wrong address DHCP, DNS and gateway wireless

    I have problems with two laptops. For some strange both acquire the bad DHCP, DNS and gateway (server) respond when I try to access the Internet via Wi - Fi. For some reason, this does not happen when I use the LAN (cable) connection.

    that is instead to fetch the address: 133.24.56.78 (no real address), the system retrieves / uses 111.22.33.44 (again, not a real address). BTW, these two systems are configured to fetch automatically get IP addresses and DHCP. I tried to fix the connection in both cases, but it did not work.

    What can I do to fix this?

    I changed the router to WEP (WPA - PSK) encryption.

  • File ran and transfer settings Wizard Installation all users in Administrator account info

    I did a Windows XP Pro 32-bit clean install on a laptop.  After I installed all the software and drivers on the machine, I ran the file and Assistant to bring users account on the machine to transfer the parameters.  The problem is that I stumbled accidentally while still connected as long as administrator, all the information of users installing to the default Administrator account.  Y at - it an easy way to remove the users from the administrator account info, or to delete the administrator account take it back to the installed version of basic?  Thanks in advance for your help.

    I suspect that Naman R misinterpreted your post. My interpretation is that you have used the Wizard Windows XP file / transfer settings, no Windows Easy Transfer.

    Assuming you still have available transfer fluid, which is a kind of external drive (USB, probably), there is no reason why you should transfer the settings again, but in the correct user profile.

    With respect to the transfer in the account manager, all the parameters of implementation of changes should be reversible system restore (start - all programs-Accessories-System Tools System Restore). Data can only be deleted while signed in as an administrator. Do the system restore before doing the right files and transfer settings, otherwise it will also cancel these changes in settings that have been applied to the appropriate user profiles.

    My date and time settings are set in Egypt and whenever updates of the laptop with microsoft server time, it increases of 1 h.
    Recently in Egypt, changes of daylight has been cancelled and I guess that's the cause of the problem!
    Any ideas?

    If time was recently cancelled, you can go to your control panel:
    Panel-> data and time-zone (tab) >
    and uncheck the "automatically adjust clock for daylight saving time.

    Otherwise, you probably need to adjust your zone settings on your computer using Microsoft time zone Editor.

    Original title: my computer won't recognize bluetooth headset!

    When I checked "Allow bluetooth devices to find this computer" under the "Option" menu, I got the error message "Discoverablilty and connectivity settings were not saved. Another message error I got is "Bluetooth Exchange folder is not found".  Although I copied this file from my backup data files, the problem still exists.

    I used to use able to connect to my computer with the headset.

    Please advise me what I have to do.
