IPalm IIIxe 8 MB PDA

Is there a driver that will help me to hotsync my IIIxe Palm PDA from 8 MB to my 64 bit Windows 7 computer?  I bought a USB RS232 adapter but am getting the error code 43

According to this link, this device is not compatible with Win7 64 bit.

I hope this helps.

    Hi Warren

    You already did link between P20 and PDAS using the cable? Before trying to make any kind of connection you have to the synchronization between the two units using cable. If this works correctly after that you can try to make a wireless connection.

  • Optimization of display PDA - reporter update panel?

    Hello

    I'm working on a big project for the PDA application with Mobile Module 8.6 LV (which could be deployed on Pocket PC2003, THIS 5.0 and target Mobile 6 and touch) and I have a few problems with the updating of the display: to my controls & indicators when I want to put their property to visible or not (by changing regularly), I got sequential effect of blinking/flashing on every control & indicators and performance of the application decreases strongly which is very bad for one monitoring application.

    I wonder if it's possible with Mobule Mobile (or perhaps with Touch Panel Module) to postpone the update of the Panel (which we can do with LV on WinXP target) and if this action could increase my application performance?

    Hello

    I find a workaround to increase graphics performance and decrease the flashing effect (although it depends on the target - hardware & software configuration - the application is deployed).

    Indeed, by using a tab control might be a solution with an "empty" page and a "view page" who have all the graphical controls/indicators. Before setting the visible properties, switch on the 'empty' page and at the end of the return to the display page.

    Kind regards.

  • Drag-and-drop files from a PDA

    Hello

    I have a test tool automated radio (PCMCIA card) on a PDA at work (a DELL Axim). This benchmark to generate HTML reports.

    I have no the ability to control the PCMCIA device because I can't program under Windows CE and the manufacturer of test bench want gives its API.

    I want to get the HTML of PDA files in my application of CVI, I stopped to read the results.

    So I connected my PDA on my computer and tried cloth & drop its files to a panel CVI (code below):

    -It works when the files/folders dropped on the Panel are my computer or local network Explorer window

    -It works with files dragged out of the window of the Explorer of PDA (Computer\Mobile Device\My Pocket PC). Then the path written inside the Explorer is like "\Windows\StartUp".

    Why?

    It seems that no drag & event drop is created when I drop files from my PDA.

    Does anyone have an idea? A similar experience? Is it caused by "Microsoft ActiveSync"?

    One solution is to drag the PDA files on my local drive using Explorer. But such an simple operation could be avoided!

    Best regards

    Pascal

    The code is simple and instructions to help of the CVI:

    int CVICALLBACK PanelCallback(int panel, int event, void *callbackData, int eventData1, int eventData2)
    {
    char * ppc = NULL;

    switch (event)
    {
    case EVENT_FILESDROPPED:
    printf ("files placed on the Panel: \n");
    If {(eventData1)
    PPC = (char *) eventData1;
    While (* ppc) {}
    printf ("" selected file: %s\n ", * CPC");
    free (* CPC);
    * ppc = NULL;
    PPC ++;
    }
    }
    break;
    }
    return 0;
    }

    You can configure Active Sync to synchronize your Axim to your PC files, so whenever the Axim is connected to the PC it will transfer files from the Axim to the PC.

    Then use Lab Windows CVI to access these files directly from the directory on your PC.

  • PDA and files are known

    Hello..

    I have a zip of the PDA files

    *.dll or something in the zip folder.

    It is written in C language.

    I need to communicate with the PDA, and labview by using a USB cable.

    is this possible? How could I go to try to do?

    where can I read more about such things?

    I don't know if I got this right, but if you have a DLL that communicates with the device, then you can simply use the function node call the library to operate through LabVIEW.

    Otherwise, if your OS PDA is Pocket PC 2003, Windows Mobile 5.0 or Windows Mobile 6.0, you can use the Module of LabVIEW Mobile to build and run applications on your PDA LabVIEW. It will be much easier

  • Under .dll call of Mobile 6 PDA

    Hello

    I wish I could call a .dll in a SW developed on LabVIEW PDA and I have a problem with regard to the opening of This that me is provided by United Nations levels.

    FYI, I know that it is possible to make such an action (what we already inside of this application) but I want to know it is the necessary details about building the DLL.

    Indeed, should activate parameters specific to the level of the compiler (or other)?

    Pour info: the dll that does not work is generated Microsoft Visual C++ 4.0 integrated on an ARMv4 target (the PDA is ARMv5 TE normally backwards compatible)

    PS: question subsidiary-online is it possible under LabVIEW PDA call an EXE? (IE like what you can do in windows via the call to the command line).

    Thank you.

    Hello

    Calling external code (.exe or .dll) since a VI LabVIEW PDA is not as simple as for a classic VI.

  • LabVIEW for installation of PDA (Pocket PC 2003)

    Jeff,

    The fact that the PDA module setup tells you that 'no software will be installed"is because it is already installed. I think it could be a problem during the installation. You can try to uninstall the add-on PDA completely and try to reinstall. If the installer asks you where you want to install, make sure you select the LV 8.0 directory.

  • I'm looking for a time sound real when system starts in a PDA?

    Hi all!

    I want to create a program that can be useful as a meter away. I have the PDA with microphone and speaker, so I can use it as sonar in the audible range.

    The problem is when I try to find the point in time when my acoustic impulse starts ringing. It is very important to know the exact time of the impulse starts as it affects the quality of recognition reflected pulse.

    If I use special functions such as 'Get System Time' or 'Ms timer value' I usually get incorrect results.

    First my program starts to save, and then after the start of the pulse of 100 ms, then after 200 ms program will stop recording and saves the data.

    I get RecStartTime, SndStartTime, so I can calculate how many data points in my record are before Pulse: (SndStartTime - RecStartTime) * 44, 1.

    But I always find start impulse in my test folder much later.

    So I don't think that "Mrs. timer value" can be used to know exactly the moment of time of sound starts (really starts).

    How can I avoid this problem?

    Thank you.

    I'm not really sure that a Microphone and a speaker are sufficiently precise a method to measure the distance.  Perhaps you should consider a hobby ultrasonic sensor.  I used a lot of these things in College and it worked very well.

  • Privacy Code - Labview PDA

    Hi Juanjo, when you create a VI of PDA that calls a DLL, you must include the .c or .lib file that corresponds to the DLL. Perform the following steps to include the .c or .lib file. Select tools» build for PDA. The generate the PDA Application dialog. In the VIs list box, add the VI, any subVIs and the .lib file. If so, be sure to select the version of the .lib file that corresponds to the processor of your PDA device. Enter a path in the Destination Directory field, or leave the field empty to create the PDA VI in the same directory as the first level VI. Click the OK button. LabVIEW generates the PDA VI, a .prc file or the .exe file in the destination directory. On Pocket PC, when you download a PDA VI, calling a DLL to the PDA device, you must also download the DLL file for the PDA device. Follow these steps to download the DLL file on the device. "Select use ' Download Application. In the file dialog box that appears, select the DLL file. Click the OK button. LabVIEW download the DLL into the PDA device. • PDA, USB (Solar Express Card CF) host

    Not sure of the interest.  But I tried the new Solar Express Compact Flash USB host card (currently in an IPAQ 210 PDA running WinMobile 6).

    It worked like a charm with LabView PDA DAQbase code example and NI USB-6009 case.

    I really bought this for use in an accommodation not USB - PDA and will try in an Axim X50v.

    For the record the IPAQ 210 has a built-in feature, USB Host but initially good cables were not available, these are now available and the USB-6009 case work with them.  Unfortunately, I could only to work if the route cables through a USB-mini first hub.  This is not necessary with the card see

    In the CF and the native IPAQ USB accommodation, no additional power supply is required to run the 6009, although I still have to check the battery consumption.  The solar Express card comes with a cable USB Y-joint, which allows the additional power supply accessory on USB.  The card CF itself, I think, is limited to 200 my draw.

    See below links for the solar Express product.

    I think it works well for the price of $85.  And seems to work with many older PDA, which is good for the fans and those who, like me, with the 'old' unused who hang out.
