IPhone 3GS Best Antivirus Program/Protection

I heard a lot of rumors on how IOS does not really need an antivirus because the software application is quite sure just within himself. Even if I have OCD and I am always worried about something. That being said what is the best Antivirus Program (free) that I need to download for the safety of my Iphone 3GS. Even if I could not ever having a virus problem or whatever the cause. It is just a type of "peace of mind" of the thing im dealing with.

It must also be free software because I have no money to invest in the purchase of a request right now.

Please someone help me to find what I'm looking for.

May God bless those who can help me understand my situation.

Thanks again.

There is NO antivirus program for iOS. Because iOS does not privilege any sufficient demand to see what is happening in the operating system or install apps. Your 3GS is safe. There is no need and that you can not use an antivirus.

Windows Defender is AntiSpyware and antivirus not.

Here's what I use and recommend:

Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with everything I threw at them.
Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven very reliable and compatible.

Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except away from Standard, Web and network is working.

    Prevx - Home - free

    Windows Firewall

Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

    Protected IE - mode

IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)

I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(Sometimes you have to temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom right of IE)

Avast - stop home - free - all shields you do no need except leave Standard, Web and network running.
(Double-click the blue icon - details look OK. - upper left Shields - those that you do not cancel).

Please can someone help me. I hear that spyware can disguise himself as other progs. I need real help base really like its all new to me, but wonder if there is any other protection measures I can take to check if my laptop has been infected or stop it in the future? -without going into the registry etc files? Maybe I should post this sub forum Satellite Pro that would be better?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

    Beavis

    Hey Beavis,

I hope you enjoy your new laptop! Regarding the "best" antivirus and anti-spyware, there are unfortunately no one answer. Of course, having a protection is better than nothing, so you have installed Norton security suite is a very good start indeed.

Personally, I use a number of anti-spyware, including SE Ad-aware, SpyBot Search Destroy programs & and Windows Defender from Microsoft. All this should be happy along the other, but it is very important that you have only one anti-virus program does need to 'control' over the flow of data in and out of your computer. More than a performer normally leads to each program struggling against each other, usuallymaking the computer unusable in the process.

The seedbed thing to remember with any of these programs is that the regular updates and analysis of the system are the key to catch any visitors natsy - try once a week to start and see how you go from there.

The other "trick" is to be sensitive to what you do on the internet: by clicking on 'Yes' to all these ads, or accepting what, you haven't read or heard invites the spyware on your system.

I hope this does not sound too confusing or put you off using your new computer to its full potential - if you're not sure, just after here on the forums. If it's going to save you from frustration and concern, there is no such thing as a stupid question.

Good luck, enjoy, and I hope this was help...

    Hello

One of your antivirus programs? You should not have two or more on the computer much
less running. They load the pieces themselves at startup and interfere with each other
which can actually reduce safety. If its best uninstall all but one and run the removal

  • Best antivirus

    Hi friends,

I would like to know the best antivirus progam which can protect my pc and do not slow. And where can I buy it online at the best price.

You will get different answers to this question, according to which it responds.

TBH I think Microsofts own THAT MSE is enough and it's free. Back this up with a stand-alone on scanner to the application like malwarebytes (also free).

Allow MSE as your AntiVirus running on the Analyzer to access and to use Malwarebytes as an application scanner and you should be covered. By request, I mean right click any download and scan with malwarebytes before openeing (unless a source reliable and even so why not?) and sometimes complete you scan whole PC with it before perhaps backups or if you think you have problems. Also do a quick scan with it once or twice a week or more.

    Keep the two updates.

Also make sure that your PC is patched to date, this includes the MS updates, all the programs you use (i.e. the browser firefox etc.) and plugins (Flash and Java etc.) and make sure that your firewall is running. You can test your firewall on sites like "Shields up". Your PC should be 'stealth' nothing should be opened.

  • I backed up my iPhone 3GS on iTunes. Back up seemed to go OK. iTunes then prompted me to update the iOS that I did. The phone then crashed. I did a factory restore. The backup that I did was not there. Can I recover the loss upward in anyway?

I backed up my iPhone 3GS on iTunes. Back up seemed to go OK. ITunes then prompted me to update the iOS that I did. The update failed. My phone broke. The only option available was to restore to factory settings I've done. The back up I had made was not available for restore. It contains precious family photos and videos. Is anyway to recover the lost or any part of it from my PC Backup? Any help would be appreciated. Best wishes Giles

If you go to iTunes and watch your backups, you don't see one that was made today? Did you see an indication of the backup was not successful? What version of iOS is the device that you have been asked to update? It was not an iOS for the iPhone 3GS update in a while. Regarding the photos and videos, you had never taken the time to import them on the computer?

  • Please help me. What is the best antivirus? capable of detecting all viruses

Please help me. What is the best antivirus? capable of detecting all viruses

I would recommend mse, and here is the important part, XP as a limited user. If you are running as an administrator, a virus can make any chages to your system, including tampering with any AV you have installed, mse, windows firewall up and running as a limited user must provide a lot of protection,

    http://voices.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2006/05/the_importance_of_the_limited.html

running as a limited user can be an inconvience initially, but once you learn how to adapt to it, your pc will be more secure and your exoierence of the user shouldn't be touched that.

  • It is better to have two antivirus programs to be sure?

    original title: MS Security Essentials?

I am now under Webroot Internet Security complete and I was wondering if I have or should run/download MS Security Essentials? I read somewhere that it is better to have two antivirus programs to be sure. What should I do?

    Hi Richard,

Contrary to what OU a course, you must have a real-time protection anitmalware/antivirus program installed on your computer. Major reason being disputes between two to treat an infection. However, you can have other scanners on request, indeed since no antimalware/antivirus software is 100% sure I'd say at least one to increase daily or weekly scans with your resident security program.

Microsoft Security Essentials offers protection in real time for your home or small business PC that protects against software viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

If you Choose Microsoft Security Essentials cleaning/unistall this guarantee as well as programs of real-time protection previous using tools and methods remove properly.

You should also consider how to use the Microsoft Safety Scanner(similar to MSE, but it is a self-contained/not installed scanner)http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Online scanners are also good second opinion option. My preference is ESET OnlineScanner.

Another recommendation is free WinPatrol. Although not a software program anti malware/antivirus in the usual sense of the term, it monitors your computer and landlords of any changes to your system that could be associated with malware. It can be run in real time with other products without conflidt because it does not take immediate action on the issues.

  • Microsoft Security Essentials is compatible with Antivirus programs?

I want to know if Microsoft Security Essentials can be used in conjunction with other programs such as Norton or McAfee Antivirus.  Usually, a single Antivirus program denies it.  I'm just curious, because I have Norton and I installed Microsoft Security Essentials on a VAIO from XP because Microsoft was pushing it and nobody mentions do not use if you already have antivirus software installed.  It seems that everything is working OK, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.  Please advise because I wouldn't do something that would affect my computer.

Oh yay fellow in love norton and mcafee. I can add you to the fan club? We have T-shirts, expressing our... love... for these programs. hehe

I'm kidding. On the fan club. I also share the feeling that be freeze before I used these products.

Conflicts occur between 2 programs trying to do the same thing, so if you had 2 AV programs both with antivirus real-time protection, they would have conflict while dealing with the virus.

So as long as you do not have 2 programs trying to protect you against the same thing at the same time, you'll probably be fine.

On my computer I have MSE for protection in real time, Spybot to monitor my registry (among others), and Malwarebytes just like an anti-malware scanner, not real-time protection and I cannot remember a time when I never had any conflict.

    Hi all!

I recently had the misfortune to put my iPhone 3GS (Opaque) glass that had water in it. I was playing music and trying to amplify them. He had no water in it, but the speaker stopped in a few seconds and I realized what happened. I took out the camera quickly and dry. The speaker took over the audio playback, but to be sure, I broke off the unit. I started to suck on the ports as people say to do and was overwhelmed by a heavy- like smell Nail Polish. It was really bad, and I hung up, afraid that it was going to explode. As I said, the telephone continued to work normally after I took it out less the smell, but I stopped him. I put it in the rice a few minutes later, and it seems to be not explode... advice? Thank you!!!

    Update:

Wow, I feel stupid. The glass was rubbing alcohol, which gives it the smell of nail polish. I'm still leaving rice, but at least I know that my phone is not going to melt in my hand.
