Link for reference: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Turn-Windows-Defender-on-or-off

Updates that took place after the restore point have been removed, if these programs need to be updated again (it is the restoration of the operating system - in fact, that's why it works).  It works simply on the updates of Windows, but on the updates or installations of any kind (except changes to the data).  This is not a problem and should completely (and was mentioned in my post above).  Reinstall the updates and you'll be fine here.

System Restore may take a long time.  L ' turn off in the Middle can cause problems - problems, different problems and even serious problems.  If updates are still there (and you encounter other problems which essentially the same that you started with most of the time), then the system restore did not work or was not correctly filled (but it make some changes if some of your edits are no longer working at least partially and perhaps even completely) (, but just was not given enough time).  I suggest you try again and this time give him more time to finish - say a few hours at least, or maybe more, given the current circumstances.  To do this before you perform any relocation above because they will be lost again.

I don't understand the issue of e-mail messages.  What do you mean by 'coded '?  What email program are you using?  I suspect that this may be the result of turning off the system before restoring it finished (or the problem with the system restore if it worked actually).  A successful restoration will solve I hope that whatever it is as well - but if we cannot get this to work, we need to abandon this effort at least for the moment.

If this does not work, then I suggest you follow the advice of Malke (assuming that you have not already) and explain your efforts with the restoration of the system and the results that occurred as well so that they fully understand the situation.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Windows 7 Action Center indicates that Windows and McAfee Antivirus & Firewall are both disabled.

My Windows 7 Action Center indicates that Windows and McAfee Antivirus & Firewall are both disabled. McAfee analysis shows that everything works. Looking @ my control panel shows Microsoft Firewall is enabled. Can someone tell me why I started getting these messages that no protection exists? Thank you.

    Kind regards

    James

    Hi James,

1 did you change on your computer?
    2. do you get an error message?

This problem could be related to Mcafee. Please temporarily disable Mcafee and check.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

If the problem does not persist, then there are certainly problems with Mcafee protection. In this case, please contact Mcafee support for assistance.

    Just reply with the results.

    Thank you

    Hello

I am currently using the 32-bit version of Windows 7 and I am currently using AVG Internet Security 2014 as my antivirus. Today, when I started my computer, the center of the action arises with 3 important messages. It is said that my spyware, antivirus and Firewall network are all off. Yet, when I open AVG 2014 it is said that it is up to date and I am fully protected. How to solve this problem? I click on the option 'Enable' in the center of maintenance for all 3 options and nothing has changed.

  • WinXP SP3: Security Center think multiple anti-virus and firewall (cleaning) are running when not.

It is after the removal of Security Tool virus.  I need to delete everything that is telling Windows (XP SP3) that there is a firewall and anti-virus (es) when they are not running.  I need to install real firewall and antivirus, but cannot.

Fixed a problem.  I found this on the Avira forum.  Use BartPE to rename \windows\system32\wbem\repository (to... repository.org, so that I could get back in the case where this caused problems).  Then restarted.  Now that the real firewall and anti-virus that run really show in Security Center.  The entrance to the forum suggested run services.msc and stop the WMI service, and then do the renaming.  However, the name change was denied, that's why I used BartPE - boy, this thing is a lifesaver sometimes!  I appreciate the help I received from those in this forum.     Thank you, Steve

  • Cannot open the message of solution in the Action Center in windows 7

I got the solution in the windows 7 Action Center, but I can't open it. I don't know that my internet connection is good. How can I get the message of solution? Thank you.

Same here, but I can have a work around.  Had a Windows 7 BSOD twice in a week.  Both times the Windows Action Center reported that he had a solution, but when I clicked on the link to view the solution, the Details of the Message screen says he was unable to download the solution and told me to check my Internet connection.  Clearly not the problem.  I clicked on the link "see all the problems that this applies".  Check-video equipment 2 errors and the other "stop unexpectedly" (BSOD).  Workaround: in an event random dumb luck, I clicked on the back arrow at the top of the Action Center to return to the display of the details of the Message, and as if by magic, instead of the same message on checking my Internet connection, it displays the solution!  Now, don't get excited too - the proposed '' solution '' is not really a solution for the BSOD or apparent problem with the NVIDIA graphics card.  Here you go:

A problem with the NVIDIA graphics driver

NVIDIA Graphics Driver has stopped working properly.

An update of the driver, as appropriate, could prevent this problem does not happen.

There are several ways to find and install the driver updates, but it's best to let Windows do it for you. Try the step below, which describes the process. If it does not produce a driver update that resolves the problem, try the remaining steps in the order shown.

    1. Look for the optional third-party updates

Even if all the critical updates have been installed on your computer, the optional updates may be available for NVIDIA Graphics Driver, who have not yet installed. Here is how to use Windows Update to find and install the updates driver option:

      1. Click here to open Windows Update in Control Panel

      2. In the left pane, click check for updates to see if there are any optional updates available for your computer.

      3. If the optional updates are available, click the link to view and select the updates to install. (If you don't see this link, you may need to clickSearch online for updates from Microsoft Update).

If no optional updates are available, go to step 2.

      4. Select the optional updates, you want to install (especially if they seem to be related graphics), clickOK, and then click install updates.

    2. Try to manually update the NVIDIA Graphics Driver

If no optional NVIDIA Graphics Driver update was available in Windows Update, you can try the NVIDIA Graphics Driver update manually.

      Note
It's best to let Windows automatically installs the drivers for your hardware, as described in step 1 above.

If you decide to manually update the NVIDIA graphics driver, here's how:

      1. Click here to open the Device Manager if you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

      2. In Device Manager, double-click display adapters, and then double-click the name of the NVIDIA Graphics Driver device running.

      3. Click driver , and then click set to update driver.

  • When asked how you want to search for driver software, click search automatically for updated driver.

  • Windows locate and install a new driver, if available.

  • See the NVIDIA Corporation Web site for driver updates

If no optional NVIDIA Graphics Driver update was available in Windows Update, go online to the following site to check for driver updates:

Click here to go to find out if a solution or an updated version is available online on the website of NVIDIA Corporation

Action Center keeps telling me that Bullguard firewall or antivirus AI swiched off the power. I check bullguard and everything is ok. What is going on?

    Dear rt00

Please note that when you start your computer, it loads first your operating system (Windows), then other applications that are set to run at startup. Depending on the amount of RAM that your machine and also on the number of programs that need to be loaded, this process can take a long time to complete.
Because at the start of Windows Security Center modules of BullGuard are still waiting for Windows to load them (through the svchost process), it signals that you are not protected. This warning should fade after a few minutes.
If this isn't the case, I recommend that you contact us at http://www.BullGuard.com .
