  • iPhone 4 cannot restore from iTunes

I'm trying to restore an iPhone 4 from iTunes, but I forgot the password. But when I try to restore it, it asks me to disable find my iPhone, but I can only do as I forgot the password. I want to restore it from a backup, and I do not want to reset to factory settings as there is a lot of data app I want to keep. It is not connected to the Internet somehow, since there is no way for me to connect to WiFi without knowing the password, and I have no valid SIM that fit in this. So I can't remove it from iCloud.com or any other device. I tried to turn it off by intentionally entering the wrong code several times, but that makes my computer does not recognize my phone at all. I did somehow your phone is more off making it run out of battery. The Apple ID was transferred to my account at my son's account (we have family sharing) some time ago and all backups are in the iCloud and without spare parts on my computer.

Is their anyway to back up the phone on my computer without entering the password, so I can't erase the phone by other methods and that restore with backup on the computer? Thank you in advance.

  • IPhone cannot be restored (IOS 10 update)

I downloaded the update of 10 new IOS on my Iphone 6s. Now, there is an Itunes logo on my screen. I have already connected my phone with Itunes but I can't restore...

    Help, please

Like many other capfreak, your device is in recovery mode.

You do backup your device before upgrading?

If so, you can restore the device by plugging it into a PC / Mac and installing the previous iOS version you had before (possibly 9.3.5 If you yourself have updated iOS).

  • Can't sync my iPhone on recently restored mobile remove my content iPhone?

I recently did a my laptop factory restore. Now when I start to try to sync my iphone with iTunes I get a disturbing message .

It is found that I saved all my music and reinstalled following my restoration, but I worry about losing all the content and the settings on my phone, I didn't know that I would have saved before, if I try to sync.

I am really outraged by what Apple is here. The sense of timing is the sharing of information between units and NOT only one replacing the other, probably so that Apple can force you to lose any music that has not been purchased from them.

All I can say is that most of the people are not fooled and will be returned this abuse of the customer, as I do and make it more likely we can avoid buying future products from them.

But for now I'm stuck with it and wants to avoid losing my content on my iPhone.

    Help please.

The message may be a bit misleading, although it is precisely correct.  It refers ONLY to what is in your iTunes LIBRARY (music, applications, audio books, etc.) and not any other content and setting on your phone.

For various reasons, devices can synchronize to a library at once, says the message.  As long as your iTunes library contains all of your past and things like CD import previous purchases, you should be OK.  iTunes will erase the music library on the device but restore it with the same library (since you said you saved all your music and reinstalled on your laptop).

I don't work for Apple and cannot speak for them.  But I suspect that if Apple were to allow the combination of libraries or "synchronization of information between cells of sharing", (as you said) it could create problems licenses with purchases made through iTunes and the App Store.  I don't think that intent of apples for you force him to lose any music that has not been purchased from them.  You can still download previous purchases:

Download your purchases past - Apple Support

or import your CD (as long as you still have them).

    Hi there DacCoopsta,

I understand that you encounter some difficulties to locate the backup that you created before you erase your device. I would be happy to provide a few tips to help!

If you don't see any backups to restore from iCloud, make sure you use the good Apple ID to your iCloud account. Take a look at this site that goes on the way to locate the iOS device backups:

Don't forget that your backup could be located in iTunes or iCloud. Once you have found your backup, you can use the steps in the article below to restore from your backup:

  • iPhone to iTunes restore?

    Hello

I had to do a clean install of my MacBook a few weeks back. I had a Time Machine backup just before, but the HD has been corrupted. I was able to get everything back except for my music. My iPhone 6 has all of my lists of music-and - play, but my MacBook has only my music purchased, not my playlists or music that I downloaded from the CD is possible to transfer data from my iPhone to my MacBook?

    Thank you kindly,

    Scott

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not that a transfer backup device and media has been planned with you keep a master copy of your media on a computer that is in itself independently supported against loss.  To use a device with a different configuration, you pass the old library from a computer or a backup directly in the new configuration, not the device to the library. Synchronization of media isn't a way, computer device, update the contents of the device to the content on the computer, update or restore the content on a computer from a device. The exception is media to iTunes Store purchases that can be transferred to a computer.

Re-download or transfer your purchases iTunes Store for the iPhone, iPad or iPod to computer - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201267 - 'this feature only works for content purchased from the iTunes Store. From iOS9 is more apps that now need to be re-downloaded directly from the store.

To transfer other items from an i-device to a computer, you will need to use third-party commercial software.  See this document in turingtest2: recover your iTunes library from your iPod or device iOS - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991 even this method can fully recover what you originally had in the library. For example, in order to save space during synchronization if you had converted music files at a lower rate, or photos at a lower resolution, it is these lower quality files that will pick you up.

If you subscribe to the Apple music, titles that are not part of the content that you have purchased or downloaded may not be transferred and must be downloaded directly from iCloud.

  • If I erase my lost iPhone, can I restore it to a new phone?

So, I lost my phone in a cab and they can't find it. It is off so we can follow it. Their chance the next passengers in taxi are and have not returned, in which case I would delete it.

My Question is if I delete, I'll be able to restore my contacts, settings, photos etc to a new iPhone if I get a?

It's an iPhone 5, I'll try to get another iPhone 5.

Another issue is that if I had a 5s, I would be able to restore it? or should it be a 5?

You can only restore back what you backup on iTunes or icloud.

You can synchronize your contacts/notes etc. with some email again or icloud program that you use to synchronize with.

  • How to remove an iPad I have more (sold) find my iPhone once I restored it. New owner must enter my username and password to activate.

I sold my iPad after I restored it, but I forgot to remove it to find my iPhone, so the person who bought it called me and said that he could not operate the device as he asked my user name and password.

I looked the problem and tried to follow the instructions, but there is no button ' delete account ' as shown in the following image.

Perhaps because the device was online 43 minutes ago just before I restored it? Should I wait longer?

I tried pressing 'Clear iPad' for the device, but even if the device was on and connected to the Wifi while in the Setup menu, I don't always have the ability to remove the device from the account, and he said "delete pending".

How can I fix this without physically entering the user name and password on this device?

You cannot remove it until it is cleared.

  • corrupted backup iPhone: you can restore old backup from Time Machine?

    Hello

I recently had my iPhone 6 (last iOS 9.2) stolen and when I bought my new 6 iPhone updated to iOS 9.3.1 and it synchronized, he said that the March 21 backup was corrupt or incompatible.

Leaving aside Why is it (except if in your knowledge, it has an effect), I was wondering is it possible to go into the Time Machine and find the last iPhone backup (hopefully not corrupt or incompatible) and then use it when you synchronize and put up my new phone?

So in this case I would lose a week / a month value of the data over the year or so for my backup previously listed on my iTunes currently.

More important still, I need to get my SMS and notes.

For now, my contacts seem to have all come finer.

A big thank you for any help you can provide.

    See you soon

You should be able to do. Follow the instructions here to find and restore the backup on your hard drive.

  • 6. default s missing iPhone apps after restoring the backup of 4s

So I restored my data on my 6 s 4 s but I noticed the default applications provided with the 6s as ilive/iwork disappeared.

Is there a way to get this back because I see that if I go on my itunes they aren't free applications more

Try to reset the App Store, but make sure you that you connect back with the same ID used initially to set up the 6s.

Close the App Store completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and slide up the App Store preview pane until it disappears from the display. Then sign out of the iTunes Store (in the settings).

Then perform a forced reboot. Hold down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Then reconnect to the iTunes Store.

  • iPhone shows wrong info use

My iPhone 6 is running iOS 9.0.2 and has 16 GB of space. In settings > storage it shows that I used 9.3 and 2.5 GB available. I know that iOS takes place, but I can't imagine this measure 4.2 GB. Any ideas? It is said that even in iTunes.

Formatting overhead asking a certain period, and there is a difference in the way of storage space is measured for purposes of marketing and sales, and how it is measured by the computers that use the hexadecimal math. This is not new and is not unique to Apple at all. This was a 'problem' from the time of the single sided 8 "floppy disks.
