iPhone 6 - video record stopped with 5 GB of storage left

Our iPhone 6 stop video recording with a message claiming that there is insufficient to continue storage, but the graphic bar at the bottom of the iTunes window shows that there are more than 5 GB of free space.

Why?  How to avoid?  We must break long claws in pieces by stopping and restarting before a deadline?

What is your storage space available for example on the phone under settings > storage and use iCloud?

  • Video recording will stop after 33 seconds

I bought this because I was always running out of space on my iPhone 6plus. I tried to use it today to record the events of my daughter.  When I went back to see her, she stopped after 33 seconds.  I tried to take another video and the length was 33 seconds.  I decided to watch the next time.  I started the video and after 33 seconds, the Red changed record button but the meter continued as he was recording.  When I watched the video, it was 33 seconds.  I did a few tests more.  The video has stopped saving to 33 seconds every time, but the continuous meter.  Everyone knows this or make me a bad device?  It is an iXpand of 128 GB USB 3.0 for my iPhone.

I'm tempted to simply return it.

I spent about an hour with the support of SanDisk today.  They were able to reproduce the issue and it is related to the amount of storage left on the phone.  When I started, I had about 340 MB of free space and which equated to about 33 seconds.  I deleted some apps, so I had about 840MB and it allowed me to save up to 6 minutes but it stops again.

I'm a software developer so that I can sort of guess what happens.  As can imagine you, it is quite possibly using storage phone (a cache?) when recording and when it stops, immediately transfers the video to disc.

I wouldn't have a problem with this behavior as a long time I didn't know that it was a restriction.  I bought this because it says, you can record directly to disk iXpand.  128 GB is a lot of video.  Unfortunately, with the current limitation, I'm in the same position as I was before the training.  I have to remove applications whenever I want to record a lot of video.

Another anomaly, I noticed.  When the application reached the memory limit, it will stop recording but the ticker keeps it turns out that it is still recording.  This is obviously a bug and needs to be repaired.  You would think that there should be a way to clear the cache on the disk while recording, so he isn't running out of phone storage space.  If I were writing the application, I would check to see what my free space on the phone, then make sure that I took an amount of cache, which was less than the amount of available space and then continue to clear the cache on the disk I was recording.  This would require a couple of threads and I don't know if the OS is multithreaded or not.  I hope it is, but there may be a limitation there too.

Support said they would escalate this problem and inform me of any solution, with which they came.  I'll mark this as answered, but I'll try to update this thread if they come up with a different solution.

  • Problems with video recording

    Hello

I have some problems with the video recording on the BlackBerry.

On the BB 9700 my application crashes when I try to stop recording. The file produced
    the app is empty.
On BB 9800 I have the same problem unless I have explicitly defined the video resolution, but
in this case, the resolution of the resulting video is different from what I
    specify (640 x 480 instead of 320 x 240).
On BB 9300 an application works without problem.

  • 10 IOS on iPhone 6s cannot record video camera?

Updated two iPhone 6s discovered today that we cannot save emailed MOV or MP4 videos to our camera rolls and recently. The option is missing from the list of options.  Fact they eliminate this possibility, remove MP4 videos in favor, or am I just missing a new setting somewhere?

    Greetings 05Moose,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see you after the upgrade of your iPhones have recently, you're unable to find saved video of your email. It's nice to be able to properly manage how your videos are stored after download you apps. I can help you with this.

To save video from Mail, click and hold on the video, until you see the contextual pop-up menu from the bottom. In this window, you should see the "save video".

In iOS 10, videos saved in your iPhone are stored in the albums of the Photos app section. Go to photo > Albums > videos.

There is additional information in the iOS 10 User Guide, specifically, this section:

    Organize photos and videos

The Albums tab includes albums that you create yourself and albums that are created for you, depending on how you use the pictures. For example, the photos you take with the FaceTime camera are automatically added to the album of Selfies. The other photo albums created include people, places, videos, panoramic, Slo - mo, gusts and screenshots.

If you use iCloud photo library, all your photos in iCloud are in all the photo album (see iCloud photo library). Otherwise, you will see the film album, which includes photos and videos you took with the iPhone and other sources.

If you use iCloud photo library, albums are stored in iCloud. They are up to date and accessible on the devices when you are connected to iCloud with the same Apple - iOS devices with 8.1 or later, Mac OS X v10.10.3 or later and on iCloud.comcomputers ID.

Create a new album. Albums of TAP, tap , enter a name, and then tap Save. Select the photos and videos, and then tap done.

Add items to an existing album. When viewing the photo thumbnails, press Select, select the items, press Add to, and then select the album.

Manage albums. When viewing your album list, tap on change.

    • Rename an album: Tap the name of the album, and then enter a new name.

    • Reorganize albums: Tap to enlarge the thumbnail of the album, and then drag it to another location.

    • Delete an album: Tap .

Note: You cannot delete photo albums created for you, as the people, places and Selfies.

Mark your Favorites. While looking at a picture or video, press on to add it to the favorite album. A photo or video can be part of another album as well as dishes.

Hide the photos or videos you want to keep but not show. When displaying thumbnails, press Select, then select the photos or videos you want to hide. Press on , and then click Hide. The photos or videos are moved to the Hidden album.

Photos and videos are hidden moments, Collections, years, souvenirs, but are still visible in the Albums.

Delete a picture or a video of pictures. Click on the Photos, click on the photo or video, press on , then press on remove the Photo or video delete. Deleted photos and videos are stored in the album recently deleted on iPhone, with a badge showing the remaining days until the item is permanently deleted from the iPhone. To permanently delete the photo or video before the days expire, tap the item, tap on delete, then remove the Photo or video delete. If you use iCloud photo library, deleted photos and videos are permanently removed from all your devices using iCloud photo library with the same Apple ID.

Recover a deleted picture or video. In the recently deleted album, click the picture or video, press Recover, and then click Recover Photo or video back to move the element to the film or, if you use iCloud photo library, all photo album.

To retrieve several photos and videos, tap the album recently deleted, press Select, click on the photos and the videos that you want to retrieve, then click on recover.

Delete a picture or a video from an album. Tap the photo or video, then press . You can choose to delete the album or remove it from your iCloud photo library on all your devices.

    Have an amazing day!

  • PowerShot SX510 HS automatically stops video recording after 10-15 minutes in the record.

PowerShot SX510 HS automatically stops video recording after 10-15 minutes on continuous recording. Is there a way to disable this option? I would like to record videos up until I press the button stop recording or the battery is low. I've disabled all the setting of energy saving, at least, I think I have.

The camera has some limitations for registration, as do all models of Canon. Here's how you can extend your durations for registration to a maximum of about 1 hour, but there is a limit of 4BG regardless so once he hits 4 GB recording stops and has to be restarted.

Also, the memory card has to be at least a class 6 rating or recording will stop as soon as possible regardless of the size of the clamp.

When you set the video object, just add a listener for events such as:

Unless you have the information in front of you, please download and install the video properties MediaInfo reading program to determine the frequency of images or your video frame rates. Cell phone video is often characterized in variable rate which can (not always) create problems to get imported, video audio out of sync...

MediaInfo - download reviews and free software - CNET Download.com

Be on guard for any unwanted alongs carry with the MediaInfo. Excellent program, but those carry alongs can be a major nuisance. The reading of this program will tell constant compared to variable rate.

Also check the display to confirm that you are working with progressive video and not interlaced.

If variable rate, the next step would be to take video in brake hand and export it as H.264.mp4 with a rate constant, not variable. Use the median between the min and max.

We will follow to your results.

    Thank you.

  • iOS 10 video playback stops working until you restart

I have an iPad Mini retina, and since the upgrade to iOS 10.0.01, a short period of use causes videos to stop working.

Videos in Safari, Chrome, YouTube etc. appear in the cache (saturated with progress on the top bar), but no response to play. The first image of a video appears, but only in the form of static image. I am able to change the static image displayed by rubbing them at any point in the video, but playback will not occur.

The only thing that allows video playback is again restart the device (apps force closing, locking and unlocking etc. doesn't help).

    Hello, Sunkai!

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. I understand from your post that you're having trouble playing videos on your iPad mini; the video will start but will be stuck as a single image, as if the buffering and never take back (at least until you restart). I mainly use my iPad for watching videos, so I know it's important that they play in fact; I'm happy to help you!

I have some troubleshooting I can offer to you. Before you begin, create a backup of your iPad using iCloud or iTunes, following the instructions here: How to back up your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch

Once you have your backup, try the following steps, in order. A video test after each step and will stop when the problem is resolved.

    1. Make sure your iOS software is up-to-date. In the last week, iOS 10.0.2 came out. Use the following article to get help update: update the iOS on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch software
    2. If this happens on a Wi - Fi connection, try restarting the network you are using from the router or the modem (if possible). If it is a private (for example, your home network) WiFi network, try to remove all the devices on the network, then by simply adding your iPad in return.
    3. Try a different network.
    4. Reset the network settings on your iPad under settings > general > reset > reset network settings. This will affect all personal data (like your photos, contacts, calendar of events, etc.) but it will remove saved passwords, and Wi - Fi networks one previously used settings APN or VPN and all paired Bluetooth device.
    5. Restore your iPad settings, following the steps described here: use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to factory settings

Once the restore is complete, configure the iPad as a new device (i.e. without using the backup that you created earlier, at least temporarily). You can sign in iCloud, iTunes and App Store, iMessage and FaceTime with your Apple ID test then a video.

If the problem is resolved, you can restore your backup by the information here: restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

    Have a great day!

  • Video has stopped playing and has not saved after alert imessage

During video recording on my iPad, I received an alert from iMessage.  The video has stopped playing and did not save what has been already registered.

Is this a normal behavior or y at - it a setting I can change to block all alerts being recorded?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi sabfa,

If you do not want to be interrupted when you save the video on your iPad, try to activate do not disturb.

Use of do not disturb on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

Turn on or off the do not disturb

When do not disturb is activated, a Crescent Moon , or half-moon, an icon will appear in the status bar. There are two ways to turn on or off the do not disturb:

    • Tap Settings > do not disturb. Choose the manual option to activate the do not disturb sign now or set a schedule.
    • Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the Control Center. Tap on the Crescent Moon.

    Change your settings

You can also choose if you want to be disturbed:

    • Allow calls to: allow calls from anyone, person, your Favorites or stored on your device or your iCloud account specific contact groups.
    • The calls repeated: If someone calls you twice within three minutes, the call will not be silent.
    • Silence: select silencing calls and notifications always or only when the device is locked.

    Take care

  • PlayMemories Mobile/Smart Remote - no video recording! Why Sony Action Cam it allows?

Just bought a NEX-6. The Smart Remote application is the reason why I bought the camera in the hope that, with a future update to the app NEX-6 and 5R can not only turn the trigger but also switch VIDEO! Currently, even when the Smart remote control app is running, even if you manually press the video record on the camera button it gives a warning saying "video not available when running this application. Please leave app to record video.

For some reason sony has decided to leave the video feature switches the NEX-6 and 5R. After closer investigation I noticed that the other camera to use PlayMemories Mobile apps is the Sony Action Cam.

Cam Action also uses the PlayMemories application in the same way as the smart remote control application, but he is able to turn on/off the camera video. In addition to setting other parameters such as EV and interval shooting.

Now, I know that the Action is primarily a video camera and it obvioustly need to toggle the video but I don't see why Sony has ruled out this possibility for the NEX-6 and 5R because they all use the same wifi technology and the same APPS! Why do the same application run differently for different cams.

The only way to turn the video recording remotely at this point is to buy the Sony NEX Remote control version 2 that comes out.

The reason why I want to toggle the video from the camera app is so that anyone can use tablet or a cell phone as a monitor of affordable directors for when the game etc.

I subscribed to the youtube channel "Sony listens" and that's what the Sony Rep Said:

«FlyLifeFilms, the quick answer is that the action cam is designed to be mounted and legs, so it can be used for action packed high where using the buttons on the camera would not easily be used.» The Nex6 is not designed to be used as such. So, it was a marketing and a design decision to include this item on the camera action and not on the Nex6. I forwarded your comments to the appropriate Department with impatience. Thank you

    Scott Fuentes

    SonySupportUSA ".

Annother unhappy user NEX - 6a writes:

"Scott, who is a response fairly unconvincing, because Sony is best known for the fragmentation of functionality of product in order to increase the sales of several products with different characteristics."

The simple fact is the PlayMemories software already has the ability to start/stop video with the cam of the Action. This is why it is not a question of "update" the software to include functionality for NEX-5R/NEX-6 cameras, but rather simply activate it where Sony has strategically disabled for reasons of the profit motive. »

I hope sony their app updates, or at least let us know why they would allow the Action Sony cam to have this feature when top model NEX cameras turn it off knowing that they both use the same application!

    Dear Sony,

Please allow at least these features in the application:

    1 start/stop recording a video.

    2. change shooting mode, shutter speed, Aperture, ISO

Or better yet, like facets of the touch screen of the camera interface and let us control every parameter. I have to pay for this version.

  • Video recording in a theatre

I use a Canon VIXIA HF G10 camcocrder and I'm looking for advice and suggestions on how to avoid overexposed video recordings during the recording of the stage productions in my high school.

Sometimes the lights they use are so bright that faces are overexposed, but I have no control over this.

In manual recording mode, I tried the program AE (P) and registration (M) manual exposure programs.  Within the scheduled program AE,-3,0 on the scale of manual exposure adjustment does not always exposure enough.  I tried using the two AE lock settings (Normal and highlights), but did not fully test these settings.  When I used the manual exposure registration program, I could not change the f-stop number using the touch screen while recording.  (I later discovered that I could change the f-stop number using the Custom wheel while recording).  Using the manual exposure registration program gave my video a different aspect of the AE result set.  The video was not as clear and there were pictures 'ghost' or 'trails' (I don't know the technical term for what I saw) as soon as the topics more.  I was surprised that the video recorded with the manual registration program exhibition looked so different.

    Any suggestions?

Hi BHAllen, as you have seen, in dark places of shooting can be difficult. For movies created in a context like this, I recommend you choose the shutter speed, and you'll want to select a shutter speed fast enough to stop the action, if the brightness levels allow this.

    • It should behave as if you were recording with the lid open and just lock the screen.

It worked. There were a few problems with my Simulator

  • I get random stops with my recordings on Widows Media Center.

Original title: Smart TV with Windows Media Center Recordings interference

Since the installation of a new Samsung Smart TV (model UN46ES8000F) I have been making random stops with my recordings on WMC.  Because there are a lot of tuners and available memory at the time where the records are arrested, they record not 'conflicts' in the sense of the WMC.  Records are simply stopped manually at random times when recording provided by another component on my computer in the home network. Today, I tried to reload WMC, a full charge of Windows 7, complete diagnosis on all equipment running & exchanging a few components; But starting today, I was not able to specifically identify the component that prevents the records, however, I begin to suspect the smart terminal on the new TV.  I have photos available of history showing the partial records should anyone want to consult them.

Description of the system: I use wired (Cat5E) Linksys DMA 2000 ex distribution TV recorded on my first HDHomeRun in 4 different rooms in my house since my computer Dell XPS420 (under Windows 7 Ultimate) via a D-link DGS-2205 gigabit switch.  The Smart TV is connected to the internet via my router D-link DIR - 655 Wireless-N.

Everyone knows about this problem, and no one knows a way to solve it?  Do not hesitate to contact me directly at * address email is removed from the privacy *.

I too began to see problems with my Windows 7 Media Center after buying a "smart tv".

I am using an HDHomerun Prime with 2 pc for more than a year and practically no problem.  Now, I use it with a Ceton Extender so... no problem.  But when I got my first smart (a 55 '' TV LG LED 120 MHz) model, the problems started.

Whenver my new flat screen is connected to my network (cat6, 1000Mbps), I noticed a ton of problems with my 3 tuners.  All three tuners "disappear" and whatever program I was watching would freeze.

I didn't record something while my smart tv is connected to my network, so I can't say I have the same problem you are having, but I sincerely believe that we are the same.  For the sake of arguments, if I recorded something, it probably would have stopped.

I agree with you 100%.  I think the smart TV is guilty.  I think the problem is our TV are the first hdhomerun and treat it as one product DLNA.  Under my smart TV App menu, I can see the shared folders on various pc's on my network (music, videos, etc.). .. as well as three files for each tuner hdhomerun main!  When I click on one of the tuner, my TV resets icon.  Something tells me that when the smart tv is connected to my home network, he's trying somehow communicate with three tuners and which is originally the tuners to freeze.

If Silicondust would somehow a patch update or firmware to avoid the first appearing as a product DLNA, which can solve our problems.

I think that Silicondust would be able to help you with this problem.  I doubt that microsoft technicians will have a clue.

The silicondust techies will be most useful, especially since they want to certify our hdhomerun first tuners like DLNA Certified products as we speak.   If you do a search on the web for first hdhomerun and DLNA, you will see an article/news update on progress.

  • Request features in Adobe Presenter 9... Video recorder as a Presenter 7

    Hello

I made a request of features through the Adobe Web site...

    ----

    Improvement / FMR. *

Short title of your desired function: Simple video recorder

How would you like the feature works? As in Presenter 7

Why is this feature important for you? The new "video creator Adobe Presenter" is great as a stand-alone video creator.  But when I'm in Powerpoint and you want to record a simple video of sidebar for 1 slide... It's a shame that there is no longer the old simple way to do this.  I just want to click on "Save", select I want to record my video with my webcam my video in the sidebar, and then stop... I don't want to record the screen, the webcam, export them as mp4, re-import in Powerpoint, etc...  In Presenter 7 I could do a simple video recording for a video of sidebar... Why did you remove this feature?

    ---

I just want to know if else think like me...

Here, we use Adobe Presenter to make the course online.  We use it to add narration to slides.  And sometimes, we want to add a video in the section of the sidebar for an intro for example... In Presenter 7 we could click on recording, choose we want video recording to the position of the sidebar, record the video with the webcam and it's him... He did!  We have a slide that has a video in the sidebar.

Presenter 9, we now have a new way to make the video, but it does not work!

Adobe Presenter is the creator of video is great as a stand-alone software...  But when I'm in Powerpoint in my Adobe Presenter tab and I want to add a simple video with my webcam... I just click on video and see that my open webcam and can record.  I don't want that other software opens, I export the video, return to my Powerpoint, import video that I previously export... It was so easy to Presenter 7... Why did remove this simple function?

In addition, when open the Adobe Presenter video creator, it also make a screen capture.  That big when you need it... but when you don't need it... you don't want it.  You can add a button: "record webcam only?

I have an HD webcam and I can't get a simple fullscreen video of the webcam with the creator of video Adobe Presenter.  If I do a record and then select the page layout to see just the webcam.  I have my webcam image in the middle and the screen captured in grey in the background.  So, if I import this video in the section of the sidebar, it does not work!  I don't want the gray background behond the image recorded by the webcam...

    --

    Just to add a note...

I am an audiovisual technician and work with a lot of software Adobe (Premiere Pro, After Effect, Lightroom, Photoshop...)

I know I can record a video introduction in my studio.  Edit with Premiere Pro and import it into Powerpoint Adobe Presenter, in the section of the sidebar.

But I work with university professors and many of them want to do their only online courses.  They must record a small video with Adobe Presenter and they want to be able to do easily as in the previous version of Adobe Presenter... no one understands why this function no longer exists...

they now plan to use another software instead of Adobe Presenter...

    Thank you

A nice (but not easy to use) solution was post by Jorma Jennings on How to record a simple video like in Adobe Presenter 7 sidebar
