IPhone6 immersed in water

My IPhone 6 fell out of my jacket pocket in a lake and has been under water for more than a few hours. It was a case of 21 impactology tech. I placed it in a bag of rice for 5 days and today it plugged it. If you turn on the silent volume off and I can feel the vibrations when I plugged it into the Lake for the first time since the fall, I heard the messages received, but the screen does not light.

Ttake your phone to an Apple store (or an iphone authorized service provider) and evaluated it. Sounds like at least, you need to replace the screen, but I doubt that it is the only damage.

If you bought AppleCare +, you will be able to replace it with a refurbished at a substantial discount model.

My flash drive which was a backup of my system windows has been accidentally immersed in water.  When it is dry can still be used without destroying my USB port?

    Hello

Put it in a bag of rice for a few days or more. -seal the bag.

If you remove all the moisture, it shouldn't affect the USB ports if nothing is
possible. Usually it is not a problem if the moisture is removed.

    I hope this helps.

  • best way to dry iPhone6 thrown in water

This afternoon, my iPhone6 took a very quick plunge in the toilet.  It has a box and was inside an envelope from cardstock.  I retrieved it immediately removed the envelope and the case and dried outside carefully with paper towel.  I accidentally hit the power button and saw that he was still working.  I put to sleep then, but not the do not power off.  Then I put it in a bag of rice for the 4 hour trip home from my friend's House.  Once home, I turned it on. It seemed fine at first. I did a backup - took 2 minutes of finishing, the screen became fuzzy.  I disabled the power and went looking for solutions.  There seems to be no real agreement, however: let it out in the air? Vacuuming?  Put in front of a fan? Most sites say that the rice actually works.  I also read that even if she looks very good, after drying, it will probably die for good within 2 weeks.  Help?

The fact that you have saved is good - the recommendation is to leave rice for 5 to 7 days, but more likely water damage sensor has been triggered - you must make a decision as to if you want to wait for it (perhaps) work or take it to Apple to have bought a replacement

  • Does anyone have ideas if you can wear the Apple Watch in a water park

Electroisolante afternoon guy, is - anyone haz of ideas so you can wear the Apple Watch at a Waterpark? Please give clues of meh that I'm about to get a Apple Watch for my birthday

    Hello

Apple Watch is splash and water resistant but is not waterproof. You can, for example, carry and use it during the year, in the rain and all washing their hands. Immersing, however, is not recommended and any water that splashes on the watch must be wiped with a nonabrasive cloth and lint.

Apple stated that, for example, may affect Apple Watch water resistance and should be avoided:

    • Swim or bathe with it.
    • Immersing in water for long periods of time.
    • Expose to water under pressure or high speed (for example, showering, water ski, wake Board, surf, jet ski, etc.).

None of the bands in leather are water resistant. The watch water resistance is not a permanent state.

  • iPod 5th generation won't turn on after falling in the bathroom and then dry with rice! What should I do?

    Hello

My iPod touch 5th generation won't turn after being immersed in water bath for about 15 seconds and then dried to rice. I tried pressing both the House and the buttons but nothing happens! My iPod is about a year and a half and it usually works very well.

It really scares me because it's the only small portable device I have, which means that if I lose, I'm stuck carrying my iPad autour, which is quite heavy. Also, I wrote something about the iPod that I really like, but I didn't sync it to my computer, as I was traveling while I wrote it and then also when the machine broke.

This is an urgent matter, because I travel by plane in twelve days and there's a pretty long flight. I want it fixed right here - what can I do?

    Thank you

    Stella

    Hello moxie.star,

  • What is the problem with my iPhone 5?

My parents bought me recently iPhone 5 s (64 GB) of a person on Craigslist and everything seems to work properly at first, but once I started using it more at home, he started shooting randomly on its own even if the battery percentage was not serious. I didn't think it was a big deal at first because it would still be running again and be normal once I plugged in to a charger. I had the same problem for the last few days, but two nights ago, while my phone load and play music, I accidentally hit my phone on my desk on my carpet, and then my phone began to change several times since the severely low battery symbol (with red) for the apple logo. I couldn't do anything, so I just waited, and after a while, my phone vibrated and turned as normally. Once he did, I backed up my laptop in case anything happened, and of course he did! Last night, I just let it play music (not connected what whatsoever) while I was using my laptop, but then the music stopped, and my phone started doing this thing (with low battery at the apple logo).

I'm sure that my iPhone is falling out of my office was not sufficient to cause an impact because my carpet is soft, the phone was in an Otter Box case and my iPhone 4, which was my previous phone, suffered the worst falls, but it works always perfectly well after four years I got it. I think the previous owner could it be immersed in water or done something to damage the battery, but I don't know about you. I don't think that my parents would call this person for a refund or questions or anything because they are not the type to.

I tried to do the hard reset (press the Power and Home button at the same time for a few seconds until the phone will reboot), but that didn't do anything to my phone. I put the phone through the DFU mode and the process worked, but my phone did not respond to iTunes and has continued to do this thing 'low battery at the apple logo. Finally, I tried Recovery Mode and my phone wouldn't respond to iTunes after either. Now, every time that I load it, the screen just shows white symbol charger with a white top arrow pointing towards the iTunes logo. When it is connected to iTunes, it just says: 'your iPhone can not be updated; you need to restore it to factory settings. "He also said to restore the backup once the process is complete, but since my phone doesn't even properly turns on, I can't!

The first time I did an update of the Recovery Mode and restoring, the 21 error code came. I just did again and error code - 18A shown and 21 again. My phone has always says to connect to iTunes.

When I connect it to a regular socket, it shows me (in that order), the 'low battery' symbol, iTunes logo and remains the symbol "white charger with a white arrow pointing towards the iTunes logo.

    What should I do?

PS I am also unable to verify that the phone is eligible for the battery replacement program because I can not get access to the number because the phone does not illuminate, but I don't have the IMEI/MEID number. Although I think there very unlikely it qualifies as the former owner must have had the phone for a while.

It seems to me that your phone has serious hardware problems. I would like to make an appointment at your nearest Genius Bar striking technicians he there performed the Diagnostics on it to be sure. Good luck.

  • Hair salon

is someone wearing your Apple Watch to work? Wonder about shampoo.

    Hello

Apple Watch is splash and water resistant but not waterproof. You can, for example, carry and use your watch during the year, in the rain and all washing their hands. Submerge your watch, however, is not recommended. Leather strips are not water resistant. Water resistance is not a permanent condition and your watch cannot be re-verified or closed for resistance to water.

Things that can affect the water resistance of your watch and that Apple advises avoid include:

    • Immersing in water for long periods of time.
    • Expose to water under pressure or high speed (including, for example, in the shower).
    • Swim or bathe with it on.
    • He wears in the sauna or the hammam room.

Apple instructions also advise that you should try to minimize exposing Apple Watch certain substances and also you have to clean it if it comes in contact with them. These substances include:

    • SOAP.
    • Liquids other than water (e.g., water).
    • Hair dye.

  • Can I swim with my Apple Watch Sport

I've seen videos from YouTube many people swim with their watches to Apple. I'm a passionate swimmer myself, but due the fact that I do not have Apple Care, and also because the Apple Watch is just so expensive in South Africa, I'm afraid to take a chance. What's the verdict on the Apple Watch Sport - it's a sports watch - can I take it swim?

    Concerning

    Omar

    Hi Omar

Apple Watch is splash and water resistant but not waterproof. You can, for example, carry and use it during the year, in the rain and all washing their hands. Immersing, however, is not recommended.

Apple indicates that the following can affect Apple Watch water resistance and should be avoided:

    • Swim or bathe with it.
    • A fall or submit to other impacts.
    • Immersing in water for long periods of time.
    • Expose to water under pressure or high speed (for example, showering, water skiing, wakeboarding, surfing, jet skiing and so on).
    • He wears in the sauna or the hammam room.

Apple is not responsible for damage arising from failure to comply with the instructions for use of the product. The same applies with regard to both the limited warranty of one year and AppleCare + (including coverage for accidental damage, unintentional abuse).

  • Test the analog inputs in a PCI-6013

Hello. I m using a PCI-6013 OR DAQmx 9.1.1 with Labview 8.2 (sued) WinXP. The jury has undergone an immersion in water during a flood but was cleaned, recognized by WinXP and NIDAQmx.

I have run the Measurement & Automation explore and use the test under option OR-6013 'Dev1' panels 'devices and Interfaces. Here, I can see that the digital and clock output work perfectly (I can change the State of the digital channels and duty cycle and frequency of the clock). The problem arises when you try to measure an analog voltage. I tried on several cases not all analog channels using NRSE and differential modes (switch accordingly connections).

The signal comes from a (4 Hz, squares and sines, 5Vpp) signal generator via a CB-68LPR connector.

I only see something comparable to the entrance of singal when you use differential inputs (signal connected by J57 and J23) AI7, but the signal I see comes with 100 mVpp instead of 5 Vpp (I can see changes in the shape, every time that I have spend of a sine, square, ramp...). I also tried connecting J23 AISENSE (J62) and AIGND (J67), to avoid the problems of floating source. The same thing happens when enter and set up the acquisition by the vicinity of data in the Explorer of Measurement & Automation. I m using the reach of the signal in the different ranges, tried with 04:55, -1 to + 1, 09:50... When you configure tasks NIDAQmx I choose to read different samples (100, 1000, 10000) rate (100 Hz, 1 kHz,...) and combinations. Anyway, the input signal is always 4 Hz. I checked the signal with an osciloscope and I see it perfectly.

Is it possible to have the broken while the digital and general-purpose analog input clock outputs are OK? Y at - it a tip for the connections I should know about? Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Thank you both, KateB and MarisolM for your answers.

I made several the tests con señales DC y con señales senoidales, instalando placa en back different computers, y no obtengo resultados positivos, is spite of what el self-test selling well. Seems that the Plaça realmente esta fallando.

I did several tests with DC signals and senoidal, installing the card in two different computers, without positive results, even if the self-test is OK. It seems that the Council really works hard.

  • I can't find instructions on setting up or using the keyboard Microsoft Wireless Comfort 1. 0a.

I can't find instructions on setting up or using the keyboard Microsoft Wireless Comfort 1. 0a.  I GOOGLED it but the only reference I find tells me to go to the download page on the Microsoft Web site for this product.  I went to this site and the only thing it is limited warranty info and Product Guide.  I downloaded the Product Guide, but it only covers the basic information like it do not immerse in water, do not take part and the various regulations of the FCC about the product.  There is no info in this guide on how to configure or use the keyboard AT ALL.  Guidance on how to use this product is probably somewhere?

The dongle is not plug it into the keyboard, it plugs into the USB port on the computer.  Wireless keyboards is not related to them - think of that.  :-)

If you are missing parts to the keyboard, I would just buy a new one.  You can buy wired keyboards for as little as $4 these days, wireless are a little more expensive of course.  Personally, I find the wireless keyboards to be a pain because the batteries always come out in one in-opportune times.  YMMV

    Good luck.

  • Improvement of Xperia Z2

    Hey Sony,

Please listen to me. First of all, well done with the work you have put in Xperia Z2, I love it. It's the best phone I've ever had.

However, there is a feature that I need to add in the phone. Yesterday, I tried the phone under the water. Use the phone to take videos but found the flaw in it. At the time wherever the phone is immersed in water, it goes to the home due to the water perhaps screen touch home screen. I think that the addition of a feature that would lock the phone under water once we're on a video recording or somewhere along this line mode would solve the problem. Thank you.

    Hello

You will find touch block as a small App. The recent push to talk key (to the right of the home button)-press > press the arrow pointing up > touch block.

  • BlackBerry smartphone WITHOUT 3 G

Hello.  I just got a 9800 of a friend who was on the network of sasktel.  I have a rogers account and have it unlocked the phone so that it will run on the network.  The only problem is that he's not going to pick up the 3g network...  I was wondering if I put rogers on the phone firmware, it will allow the 3g.  any help would be great.  Thank you

    Jeremy

If the phone was already immersed in water, it may very well be that there is corrosion that occur, in this case, there is little that can be done and can simply continue to get worse over time.

But then again, maybe not, and maybe someone else can come up with ideas to spare!

  • Compaq presario R3000 Intel P4 2.4 ghz

    Hello everyone,

It's my second company with a computer compaq laptop, it began its life with me after having been almost entirely immerse in water.

I now resurrected the motherboard of ashes so to speak - just have the 1394 and the usb2 port on this side to enter the order (like a lost cause)

Anyway, I started the mobo Infact that I use to write here on my test bench, I lightly with the bios problem that maybe someone can help?

Seems all the tags, sno., ect uuid are now replaced by Chinese characters lol, that it is a result of the previous owner or water damage is not possible to say. Obviously, I initially far flashed the Bios, however it seems that these data remain unchanged probably not a writing area or something that is copied across for obvious reasons, I guess. Seems to me it would be protected by some sort of program/utility to repair this area, changes in the mobo must require in a service center. I have Phlash16 that seems possible to edit the information by using this utility, but appears long.

Anyway, anyone know a reasonably simple to get this sort? I'm thinking of decompression of the bios change and flashing the chip with a dump directly edited to reinsert the data - don't really want to go there lol even though I have enough experience to do I don't know.

Things stand the mobo of laptop is not recognized by the automatic detection for model HP compaq, it seems so likely there will be problems when using microsoft support area since I reinstalled obviously an OS that is pre-activated and in its current form, they are not would still be a compaq/HP type lol.

I thank you for the research and assistance, you may be able to offer, pending if I find a way to solve this problem, I will present my findings and how.

    TBC

Well, that was easier than I expected lol.

Find a copy of HPBC107.exe (not easy, but they hit)

If no drive disk, then you need to create a bootable cd, in my case for ease, I used a standard back to bootdisk.com bootable image. Insert a cd player usb to the sides of the Interior. copy HPBC107.exe to a disc, but also the BIOS rom image (it is said to do in the Readme app well that I am not convinced that this was necessary). I went from a: d.: after the start and connected the internal drive of the app.

Nice screen pops up, a lot of service options including model series, uuid ect.

I read all the data and it was indeed quite clear! Despite the junk on the page of the bios. It seems that the series mobo was not correct, that perhaps he had been changed out in the past, who knows. I corrected as well as rewriting all the other data. took about 2 minutes.

A reboot in the bios and happy days - no more Chinese characters ect.

The very best BIT - now the usb2, and 1394 ports have burst into life!

the app is good for a few models which it says in the readme file.

    Supported platforms: HP NX9100, NX9105 HP, HP NX9110, Presario R3000 Presario R4000 Pavilion ZV5000, Pavilion ZV6000, ZX5000 Pavilion

Take your iPhone at the Apple Store as soon as possible. Unfortunately, warranty does not cover water damage. I'm afraid that your device is already damaged, but only professional can tell you this for sure. Take the sooner you it to the store - the best chance, it can be recovered.
