Is blackBerry smartphones there a setting to set how often my email is checked?

Is there a setting to set how often my email is checked? I myself have sent an email to an account to my Hotmail account that is configured on the BlackBerry, but he did not appear for a while.

Thank you

No possibility of adjustment.  Your customer e-mail servers are queried approxmately every 300 seconds if I remember correctly.

Everything else works except the app world. Help, please. BTW, I'm trying to access the app through a mobile internet captive universe. That this has something to do with it?

    Hi trishthestranger

Please uninstall AppWorld options > device > application management.

Scroll down to BlackBerry AppWorld > delete.

or KB10040 : how to view or delete the application installed on a blackberry smartphone

Perform a restart on the BlackBerry this way: with the phone smart BlackBerry turned on, remove the battery for a min. and then reinsert the battery of waiting until it reboot.

Now, since your browser BB go to thewww.blackberry.com/appworld and install again.

After installation go to app world and see if you are able to download on a PC, you can also try to scan the barcode of this application, it will request a download link on your device. Please try it and let us know. But like I said try to download Over the Air.

    Hello carckberrypie,

In this case, I would recommend wiping the BlackBerry smartphone. To do this, we would need to back up the BlackBerry smartphone http://bit.ly/aSediX

Once saved, please follow the link below to do a wipe of your BlackBerry smartphone security.

    Link: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14058

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Seting to the top of corporate with BIS email

    Hello:

I have a small network with 15 users and we anticipate having to install Blackberry for all of them, but I was considering using the BIS service instead of having to configure a BES.

Mymain concern will be safety, so I want to know how secure is it to our e-mail installation company and wouldn't be the first, I'll have to take before you put it into practice.

I thank very you much for all the help.

Well, with a BES is more sure b/c, you can install policies preventing the download of applications, apply a password policy, remotely wiping/reactivate a device, etc.

You use Outlook or another e-mail program? If Outlook and you all use webmail, you can follow the steps in this article to install outlook web Access via a BIS: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB03133

You cannot apply a strategy of password with BIS though. Each owner of a BlackBerry would be to set a password. Do they would just go in the Options | Security options | General settings and do the following:

    • Set the "Password" to "Enabled" and create a password
    • Set the time-out of security at a time (so that if she lost, and judge someone that they cannot get the. information of the person after the wrong password is entered 10 times, the device itself will wipe)
  • No 'send using' blackBerry smartphones the choice when you reply to the no emails

I have three e-mail address accounts pushed to my BB 9900 under BIS handset. On my old laptop 9700 I could choose answer an email coming from one account other than the one to which it was sent. When I clicked the dropdown at the top of the screen to answer, all three were offered as a choice. Now on my handset 9900, it does not give me the choice and only shows that the account with which the e-mail was sent, for the answer of. Is there a setting to change this, to allow a choice?

    Hello

It's weird... forever, I think I understand that, when you answer, you don't have the choice... He will always use the email account through which he arrived. When you send, you will have to choose... but not when replying.

Anyway, there is no arrangement... This is how it works.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones to remove permanent Wifi browser - how?

I haven't bought a 9700 ROGERS no contract to replace my phone to work. The policy of the company, is that none of the mobile devices cannot have any method of navigation interenet. The 9700 will not network go, unless you have a blackberry data plan and I have nothing but personal messaging plan which works well. The problem I have is that the wifi browser still works and even when I remove the wifi browser in the service books, it is just when I do a battery pull. How can I permanently get rid of the wifi browser without being connected to a BES? (the company doesn't have a BES) - hide the icon isn't enough...

Thank you J Sanders. Sounds like something that will work. Forgive my ignorance, but where can I find version 5.0.0 for my 9700? -When I search the Blackberry site and enter my PIN (a ROGERS device) they do not show a BONE available for the 9700 yet...   I can't get the unit off I can? I really think what I need to know how to "install your current OS on your BlackBerry smartphone to your computer?  Thanks for your help, otherwise I can't use this unit that I paid $600 for

    Before you start:
Install your current OS on your smart phone BlackBerry to your PC.

    1. on the PC, go to C:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\ResearchInMotion\Share d\LoaderFiles\OS version\Java.
Create a new folder and name it deleted.

    2A c:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\ResearchInMotion\Share d\LoaderFiles\OS version\Java

Find the .cod named net_rim_bb_browser_dameon and move it to your new folder cod.

    3. plug the device and on your PC, open the Desktop Managver > AppLoader > Add/Remove programs and work your way through the process to remove the net_rim_bb_browser_dameon module. You won't notice any changes until after you see the screen of the Application loader, don't click on the boxes, click Next, then finish. ONLY you will see it after clicking Finish a quick notice that the module browser_daemon is deleted.

Close DM at the end leave your device restart.

After a reboot, you can get a java error at startup. Ignore it.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 2nd REQUEST! -9530 storm - sync issue w/emails

    Hi all

When I use on my Blackberry Destop Manager synchronization.  I noticed that the 'sync email' button is grayed.  It does allow me to choose this option.  There are other options like addressbook, Contacts, etc.  Is there something I'm missing?  I would like to be able to sync my bb with my emails - so that everything what I'm typing on my bb is in my e-mail accounts, and each time I type something on my email accounts, it appears on my bb as well.  Had a situation where I needed to access a mail I sent my email accounts on my computer and that he was not able to access it through my bb - had to wait until I got home to make it... What a waste.  The reconcile 'now' doesn't seem to work on my bb.  Can someone please?  Thnx a lot for your help.

    Iwrite05

A quick search of the site would be turned to the top of your answer, replied here several times.

You use a personal account from BIS. BIS do not reconcile mail and messages, accounts, contacts, calendar, notes and tasks. The button is grayed out because balance messages isn't an option on your account. Basically, the command to reconcile now does nothing, so, on your account.

For reconciliation to complete e-mail, you will need a BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Service) account.

On google, the choice #2 for the question "what is the difference between BIS and BES.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Priv autorotation setting returns to portrait when the phone is turned off

I like to keep the orientation of the phone to turn but will not hold the adjustment.  I change the setting for automatic rotation whenever I turn on the camera, but once I got disabling the phone setting goes back to the Portrait.  I have other Android devices, and I have a Z10 and Q10 and never had to put auto-rotation once.  I've been foolling around during almost two weeks now with the support of BB and all I get is an evasive.  (They answer as I am stupid and do not know the difference between the two icons.)  I changed the quick setting of parameters and display, it always comes back to portrait when the phone is off.  Does anyone have ideas on this?

Hmmm... Well, I don't remember what is happening for me with this exact same build. All I can do is recommend you try again with formal support... something is wrong if she does that.

Or, if you don't want to talk to them, another thing, you could try the BBVE app, to see if he can identify any problems:

Otherwise, this has always been like that? If this isn't the case, then what has changed just before everything started? A new application? An update of a certain type? Something else? Think very carefully that the smallest thing could be causal.

In addition, the only thing I can recommend is a reload of the OS, using what I call the "skeleton" procedure, in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Via the autoloader, load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

Good luck and let us know!

    sHello,

Yes, it's easy. Just disable the lock on the Holster.

When your blackberry is holstered, there is a small magnet that said 'you're inside me' for screen and blackberry keyboard do not work as long as the blackberry is in the Holster. As son as you come out of the Holster, the screen and the keyboard are available for type.

It works for the Blackberry case, as well as for some other pouches/holsters from other companies, provided that they have the magnet

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not set up additional e-mail accounts on 8310

I have Setup 3 email accounts on my new BB curve. Unfortunately, when I try to add another account, nothing happens. I'm trying to do on the BB. I have AT & T.

I know it is supposed to be a Web site where I could manage my email accounts, but cannot find it now. (I once found and tried to login, but I was told I could not.) Tried to register, said that there was already someone with the e-mail account. Confusion between.)

Any help for this beginner (within a week) would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not set up email

My buddy gave me his 8100 and I wiped the phone initially, but I still get emails and cannot set up my own. I tried to go into the configuration of messaging as a new user, but he said 'an account already exists for this PIN. So I called AT & T. They said that the original owner had to call. Thus, he called, twice and the first time he has someone who said he had no such thing as a deactivation of the account/pin code, and the second guy it just to wipe the phone, which of course got nothing.

Suggestions of the exact terminology my boyfriend, or I can use with these clowns? Thank you.

He asked probably the correct term.

AT & T must remove the existing PIN their BIS account. They should do immeidately for him, but you could call just ask nicely, that they don't need to do it for you, even if they have been known to.

You may need to explain that you bought the device used and the existing user no longer use, you need to activate the PIN code on YOUR account.
