Is connected with the temporary profile
Windows keeps connect me with a temporary profile, only on my account not the other two, I want to just access my files, the links using microsoft in other issues do not work and if I create a new user who logs with a profile temporary, just also want to know how I can access my files so I can get out them of this user account
THESE LINKS I TRIED BEFORE DO NOT WORK:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/811151/en-us
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/555473
Thank you.
Hi Alisha,
You said that didn't happen on your account and not the other two. And you said you tried these links, I hope you don't delete all users according to the instructions...
in any case, you can easily have access to your files on the account that you have trouble accessing via two other accounts work. Navigate to C:\documents and settings\ this folder contains all the user profiles and all the documents and the data is stored in the profile folder name. Find the folder with the name of your account on it and inside you will find all the documents, Favorites, etc.
To get to C:\documents and settings\ open my computer, double-click the drive that you installed Windows, and Documents and Settings will be a folder you will see in the beginning of the hard disk.

I can't find the words to express the degree of anger with microsoft! I use W7 for a few weeks and just started getting the message "you have been connected with a temporary profile" and lost everything that was on my desk (shortcuts application, saved files and settings). I scoured internet (including MS help/support/etc.) and found the HUNDREADS of comments on this problem but with NOT a SINGLE solution that works and WITHOUT EXPLANATION of why or how it happened. This simple question is W7 TOTALLY USELESS and I'm trying to figure out how to recover my money on buying. If I could get my hands on the neck of the W7 developers, I'd be more than happy to squeeze the @$ % # out of them and they could keep my money. It's PATHETIC and a technology CRIME! But it then opens with a message saying something along the lines of. . "You have been logged on with a temporary profile, in this profile, you can access saved files and any new tjing created or added to this profile will not be saved" does anyone know how solve this...
Hi Lucie,.

I use a Toshiba Satellite with windows vista. My father gave it to me, but instead of creating a new user account, I have renamed the original administrator account. two years later, I have 3 accounts on the laptop, which only the original is still the sole Director and has access to all partitions on the hard drive as well.
A week ago, my computer laptop power had reported issues so I immediately sent for repair. I came home today and the Standard 2 user accounts work perfectly. However when I connect to my original administrator account I get this pop - up message:
"The user profile was not loaded correctly. You have been logged on with a temporary profile. Changes to this profile will be lost when you log out. Check the log of the events for more information or contact your administrator "
I lost all my profile settings, including internet bookmarks, music playlists, etc. The office looks like a brand new installation of Vista and all the customization disappeared. I can't afford to lose all data. It is seriously important and was on my desk and in my documents.
How can I get my profile without losing any data?
Hi Salman91,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Windows Vista Community. New profile created, try browsing to the old profile (C:\users\username). You should see all the old user data. If this does not work, try to copy the files in Safe Mode.
Please let us know if that helps.

I did a system restore, and now when I click on my profile admin I usually connect on, it takes me to a temporary profile and tells me logoff and try to connect later to access my files and documents. I went into the user database and saw my profile is still there with all the information available to me, but it just log into the profile of temp automatically.
How can I get my regular profile to be the default rather than temporary?

Connected to the temporary profile
Hello. I know it's probably a frequently asked question, but I wanted to ask you for us and our computer specifically. We have Windows 7. Earlier, my brother tried to access his profile, but he went automatically to a temporary profile. We disconnected and connected again and he returned to normal. Is there anyway that we can diagnose the problem to prevent it from happening again? Thank you!
sign of possible profiles corruption. If he is returned to normal, then it's a good thing...
I'm going to save important data, such as my documents, something on the desktop, Favorites, videos clipsthen I delete the profile and create a new...But if his record in fine on each try in the future so I would just leave like that. -
This Windows XP Home. on a Compaq Presario SR1710NX. Windows can not find the locally stored profile and logs on to a sense of temporary profile every time that the computer is off all changes is lost.
Your user profile is damaged and you put in a temporary user profile. This is why nothing is saved. Create a new user profile for yourself and copy the data from the old profile to it. After you have all your stuff, you can remove the old corrupted user profile if you wish. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

Keep getting connected to a temporary profile on Windows 8!
http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_10-security/help-IM-being-signed-in-as-a-temporary-account/160eb455-1daa-40ba-B606-cd3dc27b0e22
I have connected to my account today and it showed 'Prepare Windows'. He signed me a temporary profile. I tried the procedure described in the above link and nothing seems to work. The files and software on my desktop icons are gone (photo #2)
All my files and software are always accessible in the 8470p folder.
When I create a new folder, it will appear under TEMP. DBA-NB1314562 (photo #2)
This is the second time this week, I encountered this problem. The first time I had the solution in the link above works perfectly, but it does not work for me now. I restarted my computer laptop too.
Is there a way I can solve this?
Thank you!
