"you have been connected with a temporary profile.
I can't find the words to express the degree of anger with microsoft! I use W7 for a few weeks and just started getting the message "you have been connected with a temporary profile" and lost everything that was on my desk (shortcuts application, saved files and settings). I scoured internet (including MS help/support/etc.) and found the HUNDREADS of comments on this problem but with NOT a SINGLE solution that works and WITHOUT EXPLANATION of why or how it happened. This simple question is W7 TOTALLY USELESS and I'm trying to figure out how to recover my money on buying. If I could get my hands on the neck of the W7 developers, I'd be more than happy to squeeze the @$ % # out of them and they could keep my money. It's PATHETIC and a technology CRIME! All comments with a value of manufacturing?

I use a Toshiba Satellite with windows vista. My father gave it to me, but instead of creating a new user account, I have renamed the original administrator account. two years later, I have 3 accounts on the laptop, which only the original is still the sole Director and has access to all partitions on the hard drive as well.
A week ago, my computer laptop power had reported issues so I immediately sent for repair. I came home today and the Standard 2 user accounts work perfectly. However when I connect to my original administrator account I get this pop - up message:
"The user profile was not loaded correctly. You have been logged on with a temporary profile. Changes to this profile will be lost when you log out. Check the log of the events for more information or contact your administrator "
I lost all my profile settings, including internet bookmarks, music playlists, etc. The office looks like a brand new installation of Vista and all the customization disappeared. I can't afford to lose all data. It is seriously important and was on my desk and in my documents.
How can I get my profile without losing any data?
Hi Salman91,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Windows Vista Community. New profile created, try browsing to the old profile (C:\users\username). You should see all the old user data. If this does not work, try to copy the files in Safe Mode.
Please let us know if that helps.

Last night I shut down my computer like I usually do. Today when I woke up, I turned on the computer, entered my password, it took forever to load and then it was just a blue screen with a few icons. All my documents, pictures, music, etc. have disappeared and it's as if I use my computer for the first time. I immediately thought that I had a virus, ran a scan and nothing came. Then I checked my memory, and it's the same as last night, I felt a little hope that my files have to be somewhere. Did a system restore, but that did not help. I found the files when I clicked on "Start" then "search" then "c: / users I found everything, but don't know how to get back into that account." I am only connected under a temporary account. Help, please! I have no idea how to solve this problem!

Windows 7 gives message "you have been logged on a temporary profile", whenever I connect
I just re-formatted my computer and put windows 7 on it, but now whenever I log it gives me a message saying that I was connected to a temp profile and I'll lose info that I created on the account. Any ideas on what I can do to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Keth
If the problem is limited to your current account, then the following process would be much simpler than reloading Windows:
1. reboot the computer in Mode safe.
2. log on as an administrator.
3 Rename the file c:\Users\Keth in c:\Users\Keth.bad
4 restart and log in as Marie.
5. If it works, transfer all existing files from c:\Users\Keth.bad to c:\Users\Keth.The process is described in detail here:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/fix-a-corrupted-user-profilePost again if you need help with step 5 above.

I get the message "You have been disconnected" - can not connect to download applications
I get the message "You have been disconnected", even after the CC update. I created a new account today and have tried to uninstall and reinstall CC, but nothing has changed.
Cannot access my account = impossible to download or access the apps that I need for work.
After checking the forums, it seems to have occurred to many people. I wouldn't not so antsy if it wasn't for the fact that I need to immediately access a project.
The cat does not, so someone please HELP!
Val
OK, so I've resorted to Twitter, but a lovely person under the name of Britt @AdobeCare gave me a helping hand, we were able to solve the problem. I post the links she sent me, I hope they will be useful to anyone who has the same problem.
Solution 2 is what did it for me:
http://helpx.Adobe.com/creative-cloud/KB/unknown-Server-Error-launching-cc.html
I'm on a Mac, and the only problem I have encountered, it was that I couldn't reach the folder from the library of my user name (I think that the file was hidden) which prevented me to find the file opm.db that should be deleted.
If this happens to you, try this:
Open Finder, click Go (next to file, display, editing, etc.) and click go to folder...
Then type in /Users/ [insert your profile name] / Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
That will reveal the opm.db that needs to be deleted.
Click here for other ways to find the hidden folder: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html
This is ultimately what has worked for me. After you delete the .db file, I revived CC and signed without problem.
Hope this is useful to someone!

Just bought new HP with Windows 8 desktop computer, and it connects to the internet through a wired connection. However, sometimes when you try to connect, the message "you are not connected to a network rises, then it usually connects." This message also may appear when trying to back up a new web page.
Disabled the antivrus, no change. Plugged a laptop using the same modem and connections with no problems at all, so there seems to be something specific with this new desktop computer.
Any suggestions on how to stop this sporadic message appear?
Hello Andrea,
A large number of variables are involved when you connect to a network: cables, drivers, network adapters and routers. Some common problems are:
A switch to wireless network adapter is disabled
Airplane mode is on
Poorly connected or disconnected cables
Wireless standards do not match
Missing updates
Incorrect network connection settings
Damaged or incompatible drivers
Hardware or software problems
Perform the steps from the link below and see if the error Stops appearing.

media center ehshell.exe received the error message 205 units
of the Assembly's strong name validation failed "c:\windows\ehome\ehshell.exr". The file may have been tampered with or has been partially registered, but not totally witht the private key
After you have installed the XP SP3.
How can I fix this error.
Media Center worked fine until I installed SP3.
Hello
I imagine the inconvenience that you have experienced, but don't worry, we are here to help solve the problem and guide you in the right direction.
Ehshell.exe is a Windows system file that is used to run Microsoft Media Center. It is not a critical system file. However, the ehshell.exe file can become infected and cause errors trying to run certain programs. If the ehshell.exe is absent, it can also cause errors. Reinstall a clean copy of ehshell.exe with the Microsoft System Restore.
(a) click on the "Start" menu, then click on "programs". Scroll down and click on "Accessories," then "system tools." Click "System Restore."
(b) click on 'Next' in the system restore window to view a list of points of restoration which has been archived.
(c) select a restore point created before the ehshell.exe file becomes corrupt or got deleted. If no restore point until this time is listed, click on "Show restore points more" to select the one that is before this date. Click 'Next' to choose which restore point.
(d) click on 'Finish' to start the system restore. The computer will restart once the process is complete and the ehshell.exe file is reinstalled.
If the problem persists, follow these steps:
You try to run the following commands to re-register all Media Center services:
(a) close Media Center
(b) click on the start menu, choose run and type cmd , and then press ENTER.
(c) in the command prompt, run the following commands to type (or copy/paste) the one at a time and press on enter:
· Regsvr32.exe atl.dl
· C:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehl Sched /unregServer
· C:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehSched/service
· C:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehRecvr /unregServer
· C:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehRecvr/service
· C:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehRec.exe /unregServer
· C:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehRec.exe/regserver
· C:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehmsas.exe /unregServer
· C:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehmsas.exe/regserver
· Restart the Media Center
Hope this helps and let us know if you need more assistance. We will be happy to help you.

After I update to Windows XP SP 3 my media center has completely stopped working and it gives me following e: validation failure of strong name for the assembly 'c:\windows\home\ehshell.exe '. the file may have been tampered with or it was partially signed but not fully signed with the private key.
What I would do. I was grinding a lot and nothing has worked so far.

Please answer questions following diagnosis in a numbered list type in your very next answer (no need to quote this post):
1. What is the full name of your application or the installed antivirus security suite and when (date about) is your subscription current expires? What (other than Defender) anti-spyware applications are installed? What third-party firewall (if applicable)?
