Is it acceptable to allow reviewers to web access to the sandbox

What is the best way to put your application in the hands of reviewers web and blog?

Is it safe to add them to your sandbox and if so what is the best way to handle this?

Personally, I think that if the site is good it will buy the app itself, can anyone confirm that this is generally the case?

If you have an experience to share on this, I'd appreciate it.

If the site is good, they review so many apps that they were bored of having to buy them all. Consider how many apps are never going to be used by them after the review.

It is 'safe' sandbox them... the only question is if you have multiple applications, the sandbox account allows the reviewer access all your applications, not only the one they intend to review. You must ask yourself: so what? What is the worst that could happen? They try other apps too, like them and encourage people to get those too? ;-)

Anyway, there is no other way left to get the free application, since their sending the .bar file means that it could more easily access a pirate site. Sandbox, for now, is the only way to go, unless you insist on making them to pay... which is just good.

I have personally not sandbox no matter who but... try to judge how credible the reviewer is. If they have only 50 readers on their blog site, perhaps not worth your time to deal with them.

  • Grant Web access to the only vm on the esx host

I have read the Administrator's guide and spent a few hours online on this subject and other types of users doing the same thing...

I have 2.5 VC and ESX 3.5 by running very well.  I want to give web access to a virtual machine #1 running on ESX #1 host in this species, using the URL for the console "generate".

I went VC and granted permission to the user of the Virtual Machine to the particular user I want to access the virtual machine.  I granted this permission to the esx host and the virtual machine.  When the user attempts to connect (this is a domain account) they get the connection failed due to bad user name or password.  It seems that the only account that can connect to web access is the root on this esx host account.  I am at a loss here, because I also tried to set this user as an administrator and so on.  The only account that can connect to web access, is that the account root localhost.

    What I'm missing here?

The user attempts to access Web Access to the ESX Server? Which is what I think they do because without a third party tool they will be able to authenticate users who are in the service console, including the roots.  If they try to access Web App of VC by pointing a browser VC while they should AD credentials to access their virtual computer.

Another thing to remember is that permissions in VC only apply when you log in to VC

  • Read only Web access to the nodes of ISE

    Hi all

How can we create an account read only for web access from nodes Cisco ISE? I created a new user name with the role of the 'user' but not able to log into the web administration page.

    Thank you best regards &,.

RBAC policies determine if an administrator can benefit from a specific type of access to a menu item, or other elements of group identity data. You can grant or deny access to a data item menu group to point or identity to an administrator from the admin group by using RBAC policies. When administrators log on the administration portal, they can access menus and data which are based on policies and permissions set for the administrative groups with which they are associated.

Political RBAC map admin groups menu access and data access permissions. For example, you can prevent a network administrator to display the menu of operations Admin Access and policy data elements. This can be achieved by creating a RBAC policy customized to the admin group that is associated with the network administrator.

Cisco ISE allows you to create custom menus for the access permissions that you can map to a RBAC policy. According to the role of administrators, you can allow access to only the specific menu options.

Step 1 choose Administration > system > Admin Access > permission > permission > access to the Menu.

Step 2, click Add and enter values for the name and Description fields.

Step 3: click to enlarge the menu until the desired item, then click on the menu item (s) on which you want to create permissions.

Step 4 in the permissions for the domain of the access to the Menu, click view.

    Step 5 click on submit.

  • VSphere from VMware vCenter Server Web Access from the Internet

I tested VMware vSphere (ESX 4) and tried to connect to the internet for the Web Admin Access VM only.  I can connect the vCenter Server (on Windows) http Web Access features and manage the configuration of all virtual machines. But when I try to connect to an actual vm via MKS, I get an error MKS as ' unable to connect to the MKS: unable to connect to the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:902 server.»  The xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of the ESX Server HOST and not the Server vCenter (which administers the host).   I have ports 80, 443, 902 and 903, on the firewall, open to point to the server vCenter Server.  When I'm on the LAN, I can do everything without a problem. Its only when I try to connect directly from the internet through our firewall I get the above error.

    Someone at - it suggestions?

    Andrej770,

vCenter Server transfers you to the ESX host hosting the virtual machine, and the remote console runs on port 902.

You want to go directly to the ESX host on port 902 through the firewall to connect to the Virtual Machine console.

You want to see the pages "Guide de Configuration ESX" 146 for more information.

  • Embedded Web access through the PL/SQL gateway

    Hello

I'm trying to use the PL/SQL gateway embarked on an application written for 10g XE with APEX 3.2. I can access the application from the computer on which APEX is installed by going to http:// < hostname >: 8080/apex /, but this page does not load on any other computer. I followed all the steps to configure the EPG that I could find in the guide on this forum and installation, and it still does not work.

Here's what I've done so far:
    (1) run the apex_epg_config.sql script to configure the EPG
    (2) unblocked the anonymous user account (EDIT USER ANONYMOUS ACCOUNT UNLOCK)
    3) updated the directory of the images (apxldimg.sql)
    (4) set the port HTTP (EXEC DBMS_XDB. SETHTTPPORT (8080))
    (5) enabled remote access (exec dbms_xdb.setListenerLocalAccess (l_access = > FALSE))

Any thoughts on why web access may not work? Is there something else I need to do before users can access my application on the internet?

    Thank you

  • Support for Citrix Netscaler with vWorkspace Web Access

    Hi all

Someone with experience in installation and configuration of vWorkspace with Citrix Netscalers to provide balanced access to the servers to access the Web load vWorkspace?

    Alex

    Hi Alex,

This configuration is certainly possible and I have implemented it with clients previously.  Unfortunately, I do not know the Netscaler well enough right now to advise on the configuration steps to achieve this. I'll see what I can do in terms of creating a blog. It might take me some time so I would say that a Netscaler consultant would be able to very quickly set up for you to move from identification through information and portals Web Access vWorkspace load balancing.  In essence however its balancing a website so I guess there is a lot of documentation on how autour of:

    1. Configuration of SSL VPN
    2. Pass the credentials through a site web aka vWorkspace Web portal (a way that this is using kerberos cross from the netscaler)
    3. Load balancing a website (vWorkspace Web Access).  The important thing here is to ensure that once a user has be directed to a portal of Web access that their meeting is sticky.

    Hope that helps.

  • Question about web access install

    Hi all

Can you please help me answer this question.

setting up web access on VC is optional or not? as far as I can see, Web access is automatically installed with VC. all you need to do is specify ports, but after reading this text on web access pdf Pub, now I confused.

    -

VI Web Access is installed when ESX Server is installed. On the VirtualCenter server, you

can install VI Web Access from the VirtualCenter Server Windows installation package

    -

I tried my self installation of VC but I have not any Web Access option select/deselct option

Please clarify this point for me

    Thanks in advance

    AJ

    Hi all

Question of Ajay on access Web is a good thing, let me clarify.

Components access Web are automatically installed with ESX Server and vCenter Server.  At some point in the history of the product, there is an option during the installation of VirtualCenter, where you can choose to install Web access or not.  This is no longer the case at 2.5 or 4.  Web access is also enabled by default previously.  In my last use of the product, I find that the service on vCenter Server is already started, which means that Web Access is running by default.  For ESX Server, the access to the Web server is not running, but can be easily launched.  It's for vSphere 4, so fellow users, you can add what is the default status VI3 if you run this version of the product, so we have that here as well.

  • Acceptance of the wrong calendar calendar .ics in get Outlook Web Access requests.

I run Vista w/Outlook 2007 for my personal e-mail.  I also Outlook Web Access runs hung in an Exchange Enterprise Server.  When I accept calendar entries on OWA that has an .ics attachment, the calendar entry is placed on my personal calendar instead of the company.  This only happens with .ics attachments.  Is there a solution?

Not really.  The type of attachment is associated witt Outlook. When the downloaded file, that the attachment is opened Outlook, OWA use it. OWA may only face exchange meetings, generated by a user on the same server. He cannot deal with appointments of attachment style. It might be useful to ask the administrator to the Exchange Server if Exchange has been configured for Outlook Anywhere (RPC over HTTP). If so, they should be able to configure Outlook 2007 to access.

I use Windows 8 and I want to create an account for the kids to use for homework.

It seems reasonable to allowing all Web sites in the category 'general interest '. I also want to block specific Web sites that I know can be distracting.

It seems that this should be easy. I just select the category of the "general interest" and also add sites to the blocked list. However, it gives me not the behavior I expect. I find that in the list of the blocked websites are accessible as usual.

Shouldn't this approach do I want? In the affirmative, please can you give some advice on why I see this problem.

Documentation, I understand that I need to create a session, the session is needed to access the secure components since this

method specific 'ProfileServices.loginUser' was declared as non-secure, restSecurityConfiguration.xml

In addition, there are two different ways in which I can connect

    1. 1. with the help of RestSession.createSession providing the user name and password.
    2. 2. or by using ProfileServices.loginUser or ProfileFormHandler

    Can someone please clarify

If you call the REST web service from a Java client, you can create a RestSession object using the createSession method. But in your case you seem to be invoking it with an HTTP request, which, by default, would be considered a GET request by application of the REST of the ATG. So either a GET, he would try to get a property "loginUser" of the component/atg/userprofiling/ProfileServices (based on your URL) that would always fail.

To call the method ProfileServices loginUser() with your argument, you need to tell the system to the REST of the ATG to process your incoming request not GET, but as a demand that you can do to atg-rest-http-method of the parameter control in your application like this

    http:localhost:8080/rEST/bean/atg/userprofiling/ProfileServices/loginUser? [email protected]& arg2 = password & atg-rest-http-method = POST

It should work in this way, your restSecurityConfiguration.xml is correct.

  • vCenter web access do not allow me to generate shortcuts

I connect to vCenter Web Access with my credentials (I have admin rights in vcenter) and I get to see my inventory.
Returns the right info as expected for all objects (data centers, files) but when I click on a virtual machine on the right side is empty.

Firefox 40 change something that affects authentication: is no longer, it appears a name of user and password dialog box to prompt for credentials for embedded resources if they are hosted on a different server. These can include a framed page, an external script or an image, for example.

If you right-click on the error page, "This frame" appears on the menu? If so, who might follow and Open Frame in a new tab to see if it is hosted on a different server? If you reload the page without frame, it works normally?

If you are unable to work around the problem by unframing page, you can undo the change as follows. Of course, please be wary of this guest appearing on other sites where it can be to get you to reveal your credentials to another site.

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste auth and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference of network.auth.allow - subresource-auth and edit the 1 to 2, and then click OK

    • 1 shows the dialog box logon only for pages framed, images, etc., hosted on the same site
    • 2 allows the connection to pages dialog box framed, images, etc., hosted on any site
