  Programs are generally available in the world (to all users of the system) until they were initially installed for all users. Regarding data (documents, photos, music, etc.), simply copy the files from one user account to the other.   That's if you want all references of this machine 'dbhost' or 'dbhost.mydom.com' to resolve to address IP 192.168.1.101 and all references of this machine to 'dbhost2' or 'dbhost2pc.mydom.com' to resolve the IP 192.168.1.100.

  No, it can be anywhere in the hosts file. Strictly speaking, it is not yet mandatory to have at all, but as the poster said, if you delete it, some features may be lost.

  All net communications should go down to an IP address. The hosts file is nothing else that a mechanism to map a name to IP address. This allows you to return a destination by name, and really, this name can be anything you want. Resolving to 127.0.0.1 ' localhost' is a universal standard which depend on some process.

I know that some of the tasks that I have to do to get there and I'm listing below; I'm not sure if I missed something. So, please can I ask if you could think of something to add?

  -Go to the folder C:/users/xxx/photos/Lighroom and delete the catalog file
  -Delete the folder found within this same filepath

  Recently, I backed up my files, such as registered and deleted from my HARD drive.  Restarting resolved a number of issues.  Now, I need to restore specific files a few I.e. 'my music '.  How can I find and restore individual files or folders WITHOUT restoring those that were responsible for the problems that CAUSED problems.  I want to remove most of the backup and save a few folders/files.

  How can I watch them?  I tried to 'Search' for 'my music' and some specific mp3 and names without success.

  I'm considering buying an SSD of 256 for my older G62 - 219 CA.

  I can sort of back up or clone JUST the recovery partition, so when I install the new SSD I can put back them there and have this convenience for later use?

  I can't close my b/c the entire hard drive SSD will be too small in relation to the original drive.

  It is not really possible to save or to clone the recovery partition. Your best option is to create the support of HP recovery using the Recovery Manager or to order HP media to DVD - Windows 7 64B doublespeak (Office 2010) + Supp 1 Recovery Kit.
