is it possible to have a video overlay that does not show a progress bar?

I searched the forums and couldn't find the answer to this fogrive so me if I missed it.

I just want to show a video overlay, but I don't want this blue progress bar to show. Is there a way to disable?

Yes. Make sure that the tap to display the controller is off and do not break is on. See https://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-suite/help/video-overlays.html.
