Is it possible to have several break the view have need to click on the button 'continue' to continue?

Is it possible to have several breaks notice require to click on the button 'continue' to continue?

Yes I know it s crazy frustrating. It took me three days to figure out what I had to do.

You could get my file but I Don t know where to download.

You set movie (click the play next to the movie icon and choose reading). No automatic reading of the symbol or triggers tell the movie to play (if you intend to work they way I wanted, which is impossible to tell). There are probably other ways, but none of the 2000 I tried before worked.

When you´ve set the movie to play, mark the spot on the timeline of the movie where you want to pause, and then click pause in playback of movies. Define a trigger on the chronology of the symbol with playback > stop all > 'your symbol name' in the symbol timeline just to the right of the pause. Then set to play again to the right of the shutter release. Make a button with action play chronology of 0

It sounds very complicated, but it s not. Find how it was REALLY hard for me anyway

    Is it possible to set actions on the button "submit" a Quiz question? I want to advance to the next slide or continue when they get the question right, or come at the end of the tent, they are allowed. I would like to eliminate the Next continue/button. Why does take two actions to come out of the slide? I use 8 Captivate.

    Not possible, or you you screw up the functionality of the quiz slide. Submit button is the most important object of each slide of the default questionnaire.

    I suspect that you are not on 9 Captivate but on an earlier version? Perhaps reading this article:

    Question Question slides in Captivate - Captivate blog

    You don't need the next to all button if you do not allow the review. If you allow the review, you cannot uncheck, because otherwise the user will be pasted on slides during the review. You can drag the next button under the light of the button (see article). The Send button will trigger actions Success/Last attempt, that you can use to your advantage.

  • Can we remove the button continue to Quiz results?

    Hello world

    Is there a way to remove the continue button on the Quiz results page?

    I have a captivate file in which there is a slide thank you at the end after than the Quiz results slide. Now, here's the problem - the user is just to finish the quiz and the closure of the browser tab - which does not appear inside the LMS completion status. The user must need to display the slide thank you - so that CMS can answer that the status of "completed."

    Now I want to remove the button continue on quiz results slide so that doesnot users to go forward to the next slide to complete the course. And I'll put here the thank you message in single result of the quiz slide.

    Can I remove the continue button on the Quiz results page so that it could be the last slide?

    Concerning

    Vikas Sharma

    Remove the button continue results Quiz slide is NOT a good idea in my experience.  By clicking the button triggers features continue in Captivate to complete the quiz and post the score to the LMS.  If this button is not checked, Captivate maybe isn't sure that the person has decided that they are finished with the quiz and wants their score to be captured by the LMS at that time here.  There are often other buttons on the Quiz results slide to offer the user the possibility of recovery or to review the Quiz.  Only the continue button is designed to take them further beyond the Quiz results slide.

    Like you, I also found learners often fail to grasp the importance of the button continue and do not realize that they must do something extra (beyond to reach the Quiz results slide) so that their score to capture.  So what I usually do is to rename the button continue for something more meaningful like: save your Score, or record Quiz results now.  Have a name like that (and make nice and big button and "BOLD" so that it is not easy to Miss) clearly says to people that they need to click if they want to keep their score.  It's just a simple change, but it has virtually eliminated all the questions we had with people just close their browser when they saw the results of the Quiz.

  • Quiz the button continue, not to jump to the slide properly

    Hi again,

    I have another problem.

    I work inScreen Shot 2016-04-25 at 1.07.25 PM.png

    On a Mac

    Screen Shot 2016-04-25 at 1.07.41 PM.png

    I have done this in other projects and not had a problem like what I find now. I also cross referenced to make sure all my settings are the same.

    I have a quiz in my project and after the slides, I have two slides more. One with a message for the passage and the other for the failure. After the student take the quiz and passes or fails them, they then click on the "Continue" button and proceed to their respective slides.

    The problem I have is that after clicking on the "Continue" button with a score of default, slide play a bit and then stops. It will not advance to the next slide, and it will not go back. I guess it could be described as the freezing point. If I close and then again with a pass mark, the "Continue" button will change to the correct slide with no break. If I spend two autour slides in the film the button display 'Continue' does not to either.

    Is anyway to fix this? Here is a screenshot of my pass/fail options in Quiz preferences

    Screen Shot 2016-04-25 at 1.28.11 PM.png

    I read somewhere that it might be the result of a corruption on this slide. Anyway is to remove the automatic slide in the Quiz results and make a new one?

    Thank you 1 million,

    Kellie

    You can change the desired option back to optional? There are other ways to force the user to take questions, but you ask Pass! This may be the reason for the questions.

  • Text input field causes lose the button onRelease event.

    Hello. I'm working on an application that sends mobile wallpapers. I have three areas highlighted in place in a movieclip called mobileNav. This movieclip mobileNAv exists in a movieclip called parent WPManager, who owns several other clips on different layers. The mobileNav movieclip has a path of class as2 to a class called MOBManager that extends movieclip. There are three layers inside this movieclip. the top layer is a movieclip called mobilePhnNumber and inside of it is a field of text entry with the name of the instance "txt". When I instantiate my application and go to the section mobile type "0000000", or "111111111" or "2222222", a button that exists at the level of the top application loses his onRelease method. However, its still retains its onRollover and onRollout events. Now if I return to the text field and type in othe sequence of numbers, for example "3333333333", the button resumes his onRelease event. It seems that any sequence of numbers ending in 0,1 or 2 break the button. The rest of this section works correctly. I do not have something strange in the text field. Ive literally tried everything from all the action of a text field that I put, for example, commenting on, disabling

    wallPhnNum.wallInput.txt.onSetFocus = mx.utils.Delegate.create (this, textFocus);
    wallPhnNum.wallInput.txt.onChanged = mx.utils.Delegate.create (this, textChanged);
    wallPhnNum.wallInput.txt.onKillFocus = mx.utils.Delegate.create (this, textKillFocus);

    wallPhnNum.wallInput.txt.text = "000-000-0000";
    wallPhnNum.wallInput.txt.restrict = "0-9 ^ ';
    wallPhnNum.wallInput.txt.maxChars = 12;

    and yet, she stops working with any sequence of numbers ending in 0,1,2. It works with any other strain. Ive also tried to move the text outside the movieclip entry field, at different levels of the application and it breaks again this button. If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate! Thank you!

    thaks kglad, I actually solved this problem. It turns out that a utility class im using trace messages in the console view has been the cause of the problem. By replacing my journal by trace() statements, I saw that the method that actually, happening the utility recorder apparantley has keylisteners in it for various reasons, and of course these keylisteners are tuned for 0,1,2. In any case thank you very much!

  • The Quiz, the Quiz on revision and the button "next".

    Sought and did not quite find all solutions to a topical issue that I found just that... troubleshooting classes something not at all related.

    In any case, here's what I have:

    • Quiz slides do not contain the button 'next' or 'back '.  Only the 'clear' and 'submit' buttons are activated
    • The quiz requires a minimum pass mark.  A failure, the "quiz of recovery" button, button "review quiz" and the button "continue" are displayed
    • By clicking on the 'resume quiz' button works as expected with zero problems
    • By clicking on the "review quiz" button works as expected with the learner to the first slide of quiz

    Here's the question.  With the 'next' button disabled on the slide of questionnaire, the learner is not able to advance after the first slide of quiz, so to get stuck and have to go out the window.  Not sure if I'm missing something.  I did a lot of quizzes with a required pass mark and have not had this problem in the past.  Is it possible to have the 'next' button disabled on the slide of questionnaire but enabled for the revision of the quiz slide?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Go to the display of the slide master and find the master slide for each particular type of quiz slide.  Select the button Delete in the master slide and you should find that the toolbar alignment options become active, allowing you to bring to the top of the stacking order.

    When you return to the display of the slide, normal, is the clear button now on top?

  • Captivate 8 - quiz - keep the button appears when quiz is incorrect; only meant to show when the minimum answers are correct.

    I have a quiz 8 Captivate, I have been struggling with - having several questions, but I'll deal with this one first.  Right now, it's the button continue.  It is supposed to only appear when the answers of the quiz are correct (70% to 'continue').  When the answers below the minimum of 70%, the Retake Quiz button, makes however the continue button.  Is there a solution for this?  BTW, the is my button, a smart shape, I did and use it as a button to continue.

    The standard button to continue on the Quiz results slide appears always right from the beginning of this slide.  You cannot see towards the end of the time, or show/hide with advanced Actions.  One option that you have is hide it under one of the other buttons (for example the quiz recovery button).  Simply place this right on top of the button continue.  Then the learner can not see until they have passed the quiz or exhausted their attempts.

  • How to set audio stops, the user continues?

    I need to set up audio, so that it stops because the user has completed their tasks on the slide, or, for example, you press the button continue.

    I need to do this, because many users will have no audio on, it seems that the project dragged (when it is in fact the audio is just to play).

    Someone knows how to do this, if it's possible? With the help of CS5.5.

    Thank you very much...

    If you are talking about audio level slide, it should immediately stop when you leave the slide.  (Object level audio is a bit more complex to work with).

    If you've got your button set continue upward with the action to continue, so he'll do exactly what... continue to play the slide and whatever audio is about it.  However, if you change the action the button to go to the next slide or move to the slide XX then the audio should stop immediately as soon as you leave the slide that you were on.

    Can you confirm if this works?

  • AS3 stops working if the button text is changed

    I have a text button work perfectly positioned within a clip and called from the main time line.

    So I decided to add a color changing effect on the up state of the button. Originally, button had a static text for the Up, Dow, on, periods of success. As soon as I changed the text in an mc, I get an error code:

    TypeError: Error #1009: cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

    to acolyte24A_fla::mainsite_mc_2/frame30() [acolyte24A_fla.mainsite_mc_2::frame30:4]

    This is line 4 of 30 frame:

    HowTo_maininfo_mc. HowTo_jtv4u_link_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick_openJTV);

    "HowTo_jtv4u_link_btn" is the button in question. It worked fine until I changed the State noted in a MC.

    What is the appropriate steps to change a button in this way?

    Obviously, something you do by adding a movieclip is breaking the button somehow... but what something is is not clear.  What you could try to do... instead of using a SimpleButton control, create the button as a movieclip.

    Looking at the code you showed above, you seem to try to tell the button go to frames specific... you don't do that when you use a symbol of SimpleButton... they do so on their own without the need of any coding on your part.  The code you showed would be easier to apply to a movieclip used as a button.  Maybe it is involved with the error you get... try to treat the button as a movieclip.

  • Stopping on the buttons

    Here's the situation:

    I have a slide that has 4 buttons. A continue and a back button that go to the next slide and the previous slide, respectively. The other two buttons are hyperlinks to files I have online.
    I put the button continue to pause after a short period and I want to do is to slide do not playback at all. I want navigation only be the continue/back buttons. Instead, after that I stop the button continue, clicking either the hyperlink two-button resumes playback of the slide.
    The temporary solution (and shotty) I built is a break from broadcast on each of the four buttons. So if the user clicks on the hyperlink two buttons once and then continues or back... that's fine. However, if the user clicks buttons hyperlink four times total, advances the slide to the next slide without that user by clicking on the button "continue".
    (Also rather shotty) another solution is to extend the timeline for some time that the user would never realistic.
    None of these solutions are ideal and it seems that it must be something that can be accomplished.

    Thank you

    Welcome to our community, mphair

    What you need to do is to configure the buttons so that when they were made by your user name, they do not allow the slide to continue.

    To do this...

    Double-click on the button
    Look to the immediate right where the URL of the link is displayed. There you should see a button with an arrow down to this topic.
    Click on the button with the arrow down and click New. I think that you already have this part.
    Click the button again, and note that an apparently new option is there. (it was disabled or "grayed out" until you have selected New)
    Deselect the option to continue a game project, and you should be set.

    A note here. As you seem to be using objects Button to do this, it will be clickable once to open the URL or the document. If you need to work repeatedly, you should consider using objects click box instead.

    See you soon... Rick

  • using the key to toggle the button and retain a mechanical Action

    I'll put in place to control the race of a stepper motor and I have 2 buttons for jogging forward and backward to jogging. These buttons have the mouse down and mouse events sends commands to the motor controller. The mechanical action of the buttons are set to release the latch.

    I would also use the previous Page and Next Page on the keyboard to toggle these keys. But I would like the button to act in the same way that the mouse when the button is pressed and held the button remains pressed and released with the release of the key.

    However when I press on and press and hold the button continues to activate / deactivate. Is has something to do with the repeat button, but I don't know how to operate it. Any advice would be appreciated.

    I've attached an example of how I started. The mouse down press the reverse button opens a dialog box, but the key does not work and when the key is held down the button flashes. Page Up for forward and Down to the opposite Page.

    Concerning

    Terry

    Simply use another event and manages press button from the bottom to the top in the same way. The button using local variables while active, you can switch to event.

    I don't know why you use latch action. Why not with the button until this that released and value change events?
