Is it possible to install applications manually without OTA or Desktop Manager?

I was trying to find a way to manually install applications without having to use OTA or Desktop Manager so that I can easily distribute to my friends. I copied each eclipse file generated on my BB. These files are:

.alx files

. COD

. CSL

. CSO

.jad

.jar

. JDP

I have omitted .rapc and .debug. Then I tried to open these files one by one. The only ones who responded are .jad and .jar. The .jad file complained that the COD file is not, even if he's right there next to him. The JAR file complaints something lacking in the descriptor of POT, a value of MIDLET-1 or something.

ideas? is this possible?

Thank you!

I don't have a property of RIM-COD-URL-1 in my jad files: I only have single-COD apps. Maybe that's your problem. Try to remove that line or erasing as jad file and rental Eclipse generate a new.
