Is it possible to "solo" a layer?

Is it possible to "solo" a layer?  I think it can be done in photoshop and AfterEffects and is common in multitrack audio applications.  Basically, I would easily hide all the layers except one I work without having to manually, click the eyeball to each individual layer.

Is this possible in Captivate 9?

Thank you

He is using the eyeball in the timeline icon, no other way AFAIK. You can zoom in on the object (same shortcut keys as in PS). Why would you want to hide all the chronologies object except it's a little cryptic to me. I use CP a few hours a day and I never miss this option. Maybe you can explain why it might be important?

  • Is it possible to recover a layer that has been deleted?

    I'm trying to manage a layer last night and I was really tired, and anyway I ended up accidentally delete. Is there a way you can retrieve a layer which is eliminated?

    Unfortunately, the cancellation does not work on the command to restore a layer removed (at least not in 3.1.2

    I think that is why the secondary button appears when you press the trash can - reminder a little "are you sure".

    If you get to the layer 10 maximum, you could start a practice to duplicate the project before you delete layers.

    If you do not reach the maximum number of layer, just turn off the layers you don't want, then make the layer delete decision in Illustrator CC later.

  • Solo Composition layer using scripts

    Hi all

    I'm looking for a way to scroll the layers by using scripts.

    The ultimate goal is to create a customizable slideshow very quickly.
    In this project, I have several boxes, in which I show a Composition. Each publication contains only a stack of layers (easily editable with drag and drop) with a different photo on each layer.
    Using a Slider control, I want to scroll through the photos of a composition. For example: when I select a value of 4 with the cursor, the fourth layer is made visible. In this way, I could keyframe the cursor to select a photo.

    Any thoughts on how to accomplice this? I can't find a good site on the scripts of events of the time. Most of them contain only motion scripting.

    Thanks in advance!

    I think you'd want an expression here, not a script. I would use an expression to opacity (on each of the photo layers) with an expression as follows:

    s = / / link this variable to your cursor.

    (Math.round (s) is index)? 100: 0;

  • Is it possible to import a layer group into a project to another project?

    Hi all

    I am currently using after effects 5... Yes it is version 5, not CS5.

    I'm trying to figure out if I can import a layer group and their applied effects in another project while keeping all the editable attributes and positions of the imported layers with respect to one another.

    I see that I can import an ASP project file into another project through the FILE to be IMPORTED, but just, which brings the raw project window files/layers and don't place no layers in the timeline with all their positions, the effects and the edited attributes, how I had like.

    Also tried to previously compose the layer, but who did not leave their editable once a demo was made... just makes the 7 layers I want to import in to another project all one layer and not let them be changed the way the 7 layers are separately.

    In Adobe Premiere, there is a real ' IMPORT the PROJECT ' selection under IMPORT that allows me to import an entire project in another project and allows me to place the imported project where I want in the new project editing... that's what I try to do in After Effects.

    I realize that there may be a way easy to make it in one of its latest versions of After Effects and the other may say, 'just buy the new AE CS5', but I figured out allot of things on my own so far and I love after effects 5 for what I do now... maybe later on the newer version.

    Thank you for any input,

    Digi

    Just import the source project in the new project.  Open the original composition, select the layers you want and copy.  Then, open the new composition and paste.

    If you want to be really ordered on this subject, you can make a temporary version of the source project that contains only the layers you want to move to the new project.  Import this temp project to the new, then you can delete the temp project.

  • Mobility Group - without layer 3 roaming

    Hi all

    With a N + 1 WLC deployment, is it possible to disable the layer 3 roaming while allowing the Group feature of mobility on the backup controller?

    based on the configuration of the network, layer 3 mobility is not necessary. However, we need two controllers to exchange all the parameters so that excluded customer info etc. will be synchronized during a failover security scenario.

    I don't want to use ACL as such.

    Thoughts appreciated.

    see you soon,

    Andrée

    Andrée,

    Looks like there's nothing for you to do. Let me clarify my thoughts, so can you tell me if I saw correctly your concern:

    -If the buildings are separated, the case where a laptop can move from the field of application of 1 to cover other WLC WLC will never happen right? And if this does not occur, layer 3 roaming never happen either.

    -If no layer 3 roaming happens, no additional charge affects the WLC.

  • Stretch script for time so layer out-point is set at the time of model determined.

    Hello world!

    After doing some reading on the documentation and thinking through this problem, I thought I would ask some advice.  I'm curious to know if it is possible with ExtendScript, temporal layer such as its land to outpoint s on a point determined in the timeline panel.  I see that we set the value of a layer .stretch property, but I guess I wan to know if there is a way of thinking that this percentage is based on where I want the layer .outPoint meet.

    Let's say I have a layer including inPoint starts at 0 and out-point ends at 5.  Now, let's say I want to stretch the negative layer so the out-point ends at 3.25.  What is the best way to determine the stretch value for the layer?

    Thank you
    Arie

    I guess it depends on how general you need, but for the situation you described, perhaps like this:

    var layer = app.project.activeItem.layer (1);

    var d = layer.outPoint - layer.inPoint;

    Layer.Stretch = (3.5/d) * 100;

  • Layer in Photoshop to change value only

    Is it possible to make a layer on top a painting (or image) to change the value only, so the hue and saturation stay the same?

    Thank you

    The Hue/Saturation adjustment layer will do the job. Just apply the brightness slider (and do not touch the hue and Saturation sliders). Don't forget, you can hide all the areas you don't want affected or only pajrtially affected by the painting on the mask in black or gray value.

  • layer style settings to remove the differences between 2 images.

    Hello people,

    I have a question:

    Is it possible to get the layer style settings when I have 1 picture with the layer style and 1 without him.

    Let's say I have an icon that's just a House.

    Is it possible to get the parameters used in the outer glow?

    hosts Ruud.

    You will not get the real digital settings, but if you load the two layers in the same document and change the blending mode of the layer that is greater than the difference, you can see the difference between the two images.  So:

    record the action, broadcast with your script, then use "loadAction (leader)"

    var userDesktop = Folder.desktop;
    var f = new File(userDesktop+'/yourActionFile.aia');
    app.loadAction (f);
    app.doScript ('actionName', 'setName');

  • in double layer, from one group to another

    Hello, is it possible to duplicate a layer of a group to another group of layers Layer? I find it a little difficult to duplicate the layer and then dragging upward or down to the appropriate place, in files with a large number of layers and groups. It seems that there should be an easier way...

    I just wrote a script that does this called "duplicate and move layer."  Download the script from this link and put in your folder Presets\Scripts in Photoshop.  Restart Photoshop and it will appear in the main menu under file > Scripts.  You can make action to play and then create a keyboard shortcut to make the task easier.  What you do is select the two layers.  A dialog box will appear and you select a button to select which of the selected layers will be duplicated and moved to the other selected layer.

  • How to use rotoscoped layer as mask or track matte

    I do some work between a 3d program and after effects cs6.

    Is it possible to use a layer of rotoscoped as a mask or a matte to another layer?

    Have you tried as luma cache without success.

    Should I precompose anything?

    Thanks for any help.

    Do not use a cache of Luma.  Use an Alpha Matte, or Alpha inverted Matte: the difference depends on what you want, you want to see and what you don't want to see, and it is simple to change.

  • RE: Displacement of layer masks of a file .psd in a new file .psd of the same image.

    I need to redo the rough edits a file that I invested a lot of time, create layer masks.  Is it possible to save these layer masks and move them to a new file .psd of the same image; the same size?  (I use Ps Cs5 on Windows XP.)  Thank you.

    Just drag the layers in the original file in the new. The masks will come with them.
