When you run Disk Cleanup is one of the listed items of office installation files, what are these and can they deleted?

Hello

1. have you installed service pack of Microsoft office on your computer?

The disk cleanup tool lets you free up space on your hard disk by searching your disk for files that you can safely remove.

    No it isn't a good idea as some software may need .net 1 or 2.

  • Is it safe to delete the files from the System 32 > DriverStore > Temp folder?

    I was do a cleaning on my system and find files and temporary folders in all directions. I was wondering if it is safe to delete the files from the System 32 > DriverStore > Temp folder.

    Thank you

    DC

    Nothing in the Windows or Program Files and files their subfolders should be left alone.  You won't earn a significant amount of disk space, and you may cause to yourself untold trouble sleeping herein.  Use instead the provided Windows Disk Cleanup.  You can get to it by clicking on start-> computer, then click on the C: drive and click Properties.  On the general tab, you will see disk cleanup.  Use it and you will be safe (and not sorry).  Everything you personally placed on the computer can always be removed of course as long as you do not try to remove installed manually the software (use the programs and features in the control panel for this).

    I hope this helps.  Good luck.

  • Is it safe to delete the original score after successful cloning?

    I have a Mac mini mid2010. I swapped his optical drive to an SSD. Then I cloned the operating system partition and everything works perfectly. My question is whether it is safe to delete the original "Macintosh HD" that I cloned, or if there is a way to keep its files being accessible if I don't get them mixed up.

    Thank you

    Delete the old folder on the internal drive home page only. I should leave everything alone in case you need to boot from this drive. However, in general, it is safe to reformat the hard drive. But it depends on what you plan to do with it.

    How to remove a file VMDK to a virtual machine without actually deleting the vmdk disk file?

    Details:

    My perl script, I need to temporarily remove a vmdk to a virtual machine file. However I do not want the vmdk file should be removed from the virtual machine. For example, the gui vsphere provides this option to delete a virtual disk without deleting the virtual disk from the disk files.

    In my script, I use the ReconfigVM_Task to do this. This does the job, but also removes the vmdk file. How can ensure me that the vmdk file will not delete the disk?

    The code snippet is something are:

    My $devspec = VirtualDeviceConfigSpec-> new)

    device = > $device,

    #device to delete above:

    operation = > VirtualDeviceConfigSpecOperation-> new ('remove'));

    Push (@$ devspec_list, $devspec);

    My $config_spec = VirtualMachineConfigSpec-> new)

    deviceChange = > $devspec_list

    original title: open my files

    I can't delete the post of WinRar on my files that were downloaded and now I can't get anything to open

    Please describe your problem in more detail. Tell us that that "cannot delete" means. Exactly how do you try? What happens when you try? If you get an error message, please quote verbatim.

    Or do you mean 'change' expansion, rather than "delete." Have you tried?

    And one last point: If the files have the rar extension, what are rar files. The file format does not remove or change the extension.  If you remove or change the extension, they will always be rar files. A rar file can only be successfully opened by Winrar or a compatible program.

    In C:\Documents&Settings\username\, there is a hidden folder named Local Settings, and to whom a Temp folder with many files. It is safe to delete these files?

    Yes.  In fact, if you are using disk cleanup (start > run > cleanmgr.exe > OK) it will delete all files in this directory that have been consulted at least 7 days ago.

    You can go directly to this folder by typing the folder in the start menu > run box and click OK.

    In addition, my HDD was reduced in size considerably, from more than 50%. (C:). It was 1 to when I got it, but after you have reinstalled Windows because of a problem, I am now made it is 451 GB.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Conner,

    Thanks for keeping us posted and share this information with us.

    As Palcouk suggested, you can remove the "Windows.old" folder if you have saved data on the computer.

    It is not possible for the drive to shrink. I would like you to check the amount of space on the hard disk after you remove the Windows.old folder.

    Let us know if you have other questions about Windows in the future. We will be happy to help you.
