Is mandantory CUCM CWMS

I have a client who wants to use CWMS purely to the desktop sharing and control.  No audio conference is required. The customer does not CUCM for the telephone system, and they do not want CWMS to call and dial a number for audio.

CUCM is mandatory for CWMS?

Cisco will support a standalone CWMS without CUCM integration?

If you don't want to use the functionality of teleconference of the product and do not plan to import users of CUCM/LDAP and authenticate you using CUCM/AXL, I don't see why you would need CUCM.

You will not just set up the Audio section of the solution to use WebEx Audio, and instead the system only support option "voice connection with the help of computer. You will not be able to disable both types of audio conference feature. You must have at least a permit, and in your case, it would probably be the "Voice connection with the help of computer" option.

    I have a question about integration with CUCM CWMS.

    Customer wishes to have 2 CWMS integrations separated with the same cluster of CUCM. It will use 2 Admin and 2 URLS of the user.

    This is, is this possible integration with the same Cluster of CUCM?

    Reason is, he got 3 UCS 220M 3 boxes and wants to use 2 of them in HA mode and 1 as standalone integration with the same cluster of CUCM.

    Please note the UCS that the client has obtained is compatible for the deployment of 250 users only and that he bought 2, 250 licenses so total 500 licenses.

    Idea is to have 2 UCS in HA mode and the third one independent but integrated whole with the same cluster of CUCM.

    It's quite urgent.

    Hi Rajiv,

    These two separate systems of CWMS will have two access to different numbers? These two separate systems will have the same user base (will integrate you with LDAP on CUCM using AXL)?

    In theory, there is no limitation on the number of solutions CWMS you can have with a single CUCM cluster. You have different models of road, SIP trunks, etc. for each of the systems.

    Hi all

    Our customers want to integrate CUCM with CWMS only for the synchronization of users with CUCM but LDAP authentication is disabled. Y at - there any method to inform new users automatically when their account CWMS are created?  The feature 'Automatically send notification' is not found if LDAP authentication is disabled. Another question is whether new users are imported to CWMS via LDAP and LDAP authentication is disable, how should new users created their local password CWMS? Thank you!!

    Hey Danny,

    Unfortunately, we do not have a built-in feature in CWMS to send e-mail notifications to users newly imported from CUCM unless the LDAP authentication is enabled.

    I tabled an improvement for this: CSCvb16166 any user of CUCM does not welcome if e-mail authentication LDAP disabled

    The only solution is to warn end users to go to the URL of the WebEx Site, use you forgot your password link to have CWMS send them an email with password reset link.

    This problem is caused by a bad configuration of the integration of CUCM with CWMS.

    Make sure you check you SIP Trunks and SIP configuration on CUCM routing model.

    Make sure that your points in routing SIP Trunk SIP of Point Application model.

    Make sure that the Partition configured in routing SIP model belongs to a CSS that is configured in the LoadBalancing SIP trunk under:

    1. change of itinerary calling search space

    2 outside dialogue see calling search space

  • Cannot start in CWM recovery

    Hello. I just finished my Xperia NEO of rooting (ICS 4.0.4 build number 4.1.b.0.587). I also unlocked the bootloader and installed the CWM recovery but unfortunately it doesn't seem to work. I tried the amor├ºage using ROM manager, but nothing. Then I installed CMW using X-pieces app-still nothing. Tried to start then spamming Volume down and upward, and then tried the same thing with the back, menu, home buttons.  Clearly, it does not work.  Any suggestions?

  • Activate a call encrypted on SX80 recorded on CUCM

    We have heaps of endpoints SX80 on CUCM. We are trying to activate the encrypted call but cannot work.

    On the endpoints SX80 Configuration > conference set us the encryption mode on IT. If we try to point-to-point call, the call is not to connect. The two end points are set to Encryption mode WE. When the best value Effort it works but it says ' do not call encrypted.

    Are there settings that we need to check on the side CUCM?

    Are you using a non-secure telephone profile or secure?

    To enable encryption, you must use a secure phone profile.  See the "Encrypted vs encrypted communication" section the Telepresence Endpoints Deployment Guide for CUCM 11.0.1 (CE8.0) on pg 4.

  • CWMS 1.1 Site URL does not

    Hi all

    I have just deployly a new CWMS 1.1 for the customer, everything works well.

    However, after the CWMS 1.1 virtual machine power off and turn on again, all are very good except webex site URL is not available.

    I'm quite sure that the problem resides on CWMS 1.1 rather than the browser, as I use the same computer in both cases.

    Machin's virtual host / IP: webexadmin.webex.com 18.2.0.5

    Site URL / IP: webexweb.webex.com 18.2.0.7

    Admin URL / IP: webexsuper.webex.com 18.2.0.7

    I confirmed that DNS is working properly.   Admin URL works fine and I can use Admin credentials for access without problem.

    However, I'm not able to access the URL of the site, the page which lead me to the host of input user ID and password do not appears.

    By the way, I am also curious to know how CWMS 1.1 different requests for URL of the Site and the URL of the Admin because they were resolved to the same DNS server IP address?

    Appolgise to a slow line here it was a long weekend in the United States.

    I would strongly sugguest you use this version 1.1.1.9 when you try to deploy expecially for mail server.

    CSCuc63386 Validation of email server in the initial setup sequence No.

    There was a bug in version 1.1.

    If you need help for new .ova feel free to open an SR and someone TAC will help you in this.

    Now, in regards to FQDN or IP feel free to open a SR we can do more tests, I don't expect this to and issue too long is valid and functional.

    This is not a configurable option, Emine. She is hard-coded.

    To Bypass by pressing 1 when you join the meeting Blast Dial, we open improvements and will be delivered in CWMS 3.0. (CSCuz82338 do 'Bypass' by pressing 1...  configurable for Blast Dial meetings).

    My situation is slightly different from what is shown here. I have a client who has CUCM 8.6.2 on VM... & would like to upgrade to CUCM Ver 10.5. What is the steps & the route easier to do this upgrade? A bit confused, with messages because it is not a migration, but a simple upgrade in the virtual machine environment.

  • Missing hash MD5 CUCM/CUC Upgrade OS on page

    I have been through several improvements CUCM and CUC but, at least one of them I noticed he had a hash MD5 Checksum of lack and white in CUCM BONES page just as I started the installation.

    I understand that if it does not match the checksum of when you downloaded from Cisco / PUT which is bad, but what happened when blank/lack just in the page of the OS?

    Hi Dan,.

    If it is a upgrade file that has been downloaded from cisco.com you much download again trying to minimize the interference of the antivirus, vpn etc and see if the problem persists. I've seen a few cases of TAC where this scenario was known, but the upgrade went through and I don't see a bug for this as has been seen on different versions including 7.x. You can also open a TAC case to put the file published for you and try it.

    Hello everyone, I'm looking to upgrade CUCM 10.5 to 11.5 and try to find out if the version of Mediasense, UCCX and highway are supported and to confirm with the experts that I am mistaken.

    Currently I have the following text:

    CUCM/CUC - 10.5

    UCCX - 10.6.1

    MediaSense - 11.0.1

    Highway - 8.5.1

    So based on the documentation below if I go to CUCM 11.5 UCCX must be upgraded to version 11 and highway be upgraded to 8.8? MediaSense is ok here its version 11?

    ORC evolving documents now States that UCCX 10.6 (1) can be compatible with 11.5 (1) CUCM (plus all patches) after you install the ciscouccx.106x.cucm11xcompatible.14.cop.sgn hotfix.

    I'm trying to migrate SU4 Cucm 8.6 (2A) to 10.5 (2) SU1.

    I did like the exception pre-upgrade tasks.

    Changing vNIC, vCPU and taste-> rdht6 - 64 bit + resizing disks.

    upgrade iso file loaded successfully.

    Shortly after that the upgrade of cooling process in installation of position on the part of the installation of database component the process stopped at the 83 percent and performs reset.

    can you collect debug voice ccapi inout & debugging ccsip GCE message and attach the logs here please?

    your provider sends A Law G711 codec in the PROMPT message, but you have configured G711 U right in the dial-peers.

    can you try to fix G711 has the right dial-peers and check out them? Also make sure you have TPMS in the MRGL applied to CUCM SIP Trunk.
