Is SanDisk a less complicated flash drive?

All I want is to enter a few files, out of my computer. I want to just copy it and change it if necessary. I don't have the vault or access secure. Is there something like that around?

There is no obligation to use SecureAccess when you use your USB drive.  Open Windows Explorer and drag and drop files to drive hard USB drive and visa versa works find.

If you use/need/want to use delete SecureAccess is 2 files and 3 files from the flash drive.

    Thank you!

Sure.  Use an application of recovery such as PhotoRec, totally free; to download, use and to recover.  A lot of other 'free' support during the final phase.

  • Try to install Windows 7 from the SanDisk USB 3.0 Flash drive...

I spent days trying to find a solution to this, but nothing helped. I am trying to install an image pre-configured on a new Dell Latitude E5530 and Dell Precision T3500 (our two standard workstation deployments). At the prompt 'Where would you install windows?', I chose the disk/partition and get a message "Windows Setup could not create a new partition system.

Before I begin to explain - I made this configuration will leave if it is thousands of times with disks USB 2.0 without problem. (It installs custom and preconfigured win 7 for an enterprise environment.) The images we use are fine - they work with other USB 2.0 readers)

    Material:

    Dell Latitude E5530 / Dell T3500

128 GB Samsung SSD (Dell OEM) / Western Digital 320 single disc and two disks in RAID 1 (RAID Intel)

Installation drive: SanDisk Extreme 32 GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive

    Software:

    Windows 7 32-Bit Enterprise Edition

-Pre-configured image and answer file, custom (install.wim)

Here's what I've done previously. None of this worked at all:

    • Clean the disk target (SSD) with diskpart (own > create > active > format (NTFS) > attribute).
    • Clean the installation USB 3.0 drive and install re-copied the file several times.
    • Cloned the installation drive USB 3.0 from a well-known work 2.0 USB drive.
    • Addition of the latest Intel USB 3.0 Boot.wim in the USB 3.0 drivers installation disk.
    • Tried manually navigate and load the drivers of intel USB 3.0 while the selection of drive / configure screen (they seem to load but the error persists)
    • Boot order set to the target drive / array at the top of the list
    • Off the other boot devices.
    • Operation change of SATA (AHCI, SATA, RAID, etc.)
    • I tried different ports USB 3.0 and 2.0.
    • Tried with laptop in itself and dock.

It seems that the Windows 7 installer will not work on this USB 3.0 flash drive anything (not even on 2.0 ports). Each search than I on this subject shows results that relate to an upgrade install or simply clean the score target and marking as active (what I've done, and what does not). I can't, for the life of me, understand what the limitation or the problem, it is that is causing these installs do not work.

I don't have the option to try different USB 3.0 drives. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • follow-up to the issue of data on a USB flash drive recovery

HP instructions say that the 32 GB flash drive has NOT should be labeled as Windows 8 compatible.   I bought a Sandisk 32 GB yesterday for $20 on sale, but it says on the back that it is compatible.

More / or less expensive flash drives did not address if compatible with Windows 8.

    I have Windows 8.1

Thanks in advance for your help...

    Hello

If the flash drive is listed as "Windows compatible 8" may not be used - the reason is that the creation of HP recovery media software is seeking a device marked Win 8 compatible show as internal drives flash drives and external .

In the example below, the 32 Gb flash drive USB 'Dave G' shows as a drive hard internal who can not be used, while the USB flash drive "Removable disc H" would work.

  • Appearing as local drive, removable flash drive!

I bought a new SanDisk 16 gb USB flash drive a few days ago and it does not appear with locking discs. Please give a few solutions that I show as removable drive.

Number of new flash drives is now set instead of removable.  It is due to a new requirement for Windows 8.  Best is to return the drive and buy a not Windows compatible 8.

  • Cruzer slice 16 gb flash drive

Hi, I havce just bought a sandisk cruzer 16 gb flash drive. I went to the to use for the first time and wanted to pass a file is about 4 GB in size. When I tried to do that it came with the destination disk is full. Can someone tell me why she said this when he has 16 gb free, so 4 GB must ExacTen on?

    a few things here.

first the player you have a u3? and if yes there are 2 partitions. a u3 system and the other will be a removable disk. u3 system partition is a partition protected cdrom and data cannot be written for her. You must copy your files to the removable partition.

I also noticed that you said that the record is almost 4 GB. is that one or more files? If a single file, you have to reformat it to NTFS to copy files of 4 GB or more. This is a limitation of the FAT32 file system.

  • Is it safe to buy SanDisk Ultra adapt USB 3.0 flash drive in all sizes for their part start?

    Hello

I just read your incompatible experiences regarding the ability to boot from different readers of Sandsisk.

To be more precise, is it safe to buy the discs above (North American model numbers):

    SDCZ43 - 016G - A46 - 16 GB

    SDCZ43 - 032G - A46 - 32 GB

    SDCZ43 - 064G - A46 - 64 GB

    SDCZ43 - 128G - A46 - 128 GB

at the start of one of them.

Under Windowss, you can use FAT, FAT32 for sizes 32GB or less, NTFS for 64 GB or more. Ok.

I've always wondered how to do a 64GB or more large disk bootable under Linux or Mac OS X?

    Thanks for your clarification!

SanDisk did not burst as the hard drives over the years.  Is there the sellers offering some of the old stock, no doubt.  There sellers of counterfeit discs, certainly.  Are there readers used sellers, certainly. Are there vendors selling readers and not allowing them to return if the buyer is unhappy, certainly.

So, rather than worry about the model numbers, worry to buy from a reliable source, so if you have a problem you can return. Quickly & easily.  New SanDisk flash drives are all seen as removable Windows.   And Easy2Boot will make them bootable., even on the new UEFI systems, which should be more a problem starting model guarantees.

I understand you are trying to create a recovery on a USB media.  The process is progressing well until it gets to 90% and fails then indicating that she has problems in the creation of recovery media.  Please try again.

Please use a white, not more than 32 GB and USB flash drive high quality brand not like Windows compatible 8.  As he only missed the first attempt, I suggest that you format the USB key before you re-attempt to create the

  • HP Recovery Manager and SanDisk USB flash drive

I just bought an Envy-4 ultrabook and I'm trying to create a recovery media.  I bought a 32 GB SanDisk Cruzer flash drive for this purpose and even if Windows can see the disk and I can add/remove files, Recovery Manager just sits there waiting for the reader.

Is there a known issue with specific brands of flash player? -I did not need a great collection of 32 GB drives so don't want to continue to buy them until I have found one that works!

(I can't be the only person having this problem - see http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Operating-Systems-e-g-Windows-8-Software-Recovery/Hp-recovery-m... who has had more than 100 views).

HP focuses on the problems reported on flash drives doesn't work is not for the creation of recovery in Windows 8. I was told that they are working on a patch/upgrade to level for the Recovery Manager.

In the meantime, it was suggested to put in or on DVD or pick up a flash drive which is NOT a logo'd with the compatible icon Windows 8 on the package.

If none of them are acceptable to hold for the upcoming patch.

  • SanDisk USB Flash Drive & Logitech Wireless Mouse can not find the driver

I am running Windows XP on a Dell XPS laptop.  When I joined the SanDisk Cruzer Flash Drive or a mouse with Logitech M215 wireless computer detects it and tries to load a driver but just by saying no driver found.  I use other mice wireless and other readers flash without any problems.  I went on the Web from Logitech website and SanDisk and they both say no driver required.  I contacted Logitech and they said it's a matter of Microsoft's operating system.  Where can I get a driver to run both devices.  Also when I go to the hardware profile the other device has a yellow box? next to him.  I try to uninstall the driver and updated it but without success.  Still looking for a driver.  Where can I find the driver.  Help.

    Hello

    1. have you tried plugging it into different USB ports and check?

    2. did you try to use the same flash player and mouse on another computer and check if it works there?

    3. how exactly did you uninstall the driver and reinstall it?

Connect the hardware (mouse and flash drive) and run the fixit tool in the following article.

  • SanDisk Extreme USB Flash Drive and SMART failure

I just got 3 64 GB SanDisk Extreme USB Flash Drives and all three show SMART failures to reassign bad sectors. I struggle to believe that all three could be bad on first use. I use a program on a Mac (SoftRAID(4)) to certify all drives prior to use, including the SD cards and USB keys. I've never seen a failure so far.

Readers see the successful certification but present a SMART failure.

What is a disk problem or a SMART question or what?

    Thank you

    Lief

I agree that it is unlikely to have failed on the first use. Most likely, it is a problem with the SMART attributes. IIRC sandisk can't CHIP for this product so it formats without error, and data can be copied onto the discs with success, I wouldn't worry too much on this subject.
