Is the Canon PowerShot G7X possibile in Lightroom ver 5.7 RAW format?

I use Lightroom 5 on my Acer PC. I just bought a new digital camera, Canon PowerShot G7X, with possibility of Raw format. I also upgraded my 5 Lightroom to version 5.7. Always the application will not accept the RAW format images taken with this camera. I am doing something wrong, or the latest version (5.7) not include the RAW of Canon PowerShot G7X format?

Yes, 5.7 LR supports G7X.

    Hi Manuelaw,

Sorry you don't see the profile for the Powershot G7x, looking at our article of supported lenses: lenses supported

It looks like not it's one of the cameras that we have corrections profile lens.

I recommend you create your own profile of lens by using the lens profile Creator, Digital Negative (DNG), Adobe DNG Converter tool | Adobe Photoshop CC - or try the Lens profile Downloader to see if others have created a profile of lenses for that camera.

  • Update for Windows 7 (I think) won't allow my computer to find the Canon PowerShot 610

This week, I was using my Canon PowerShot 610 and then the next day my computer would not recognize it. I would have thought that the problem was with my camera, except that my computer recognizes either - his camera on one of our computers. I have Windows 7, my husband has Windows xp.  I fooled with my anti-virus software, and I don't think that's the problem. There must be a Windows problem. If anyone has a solution, I'd be really grateful help. Thank you.

    Hello

Thanks for asking! If I understand correctly, you are faced with questions your camera have recognized. Correct me if I'm wrong!

Before you continue troubleshooting, I would like to collect some personal information.

    1. have there been recent changes to the system before the show?

2 is the issue limited to specific device?

    3. how you connect the camera to the computer?

    4. have you tried to connect the camera to a different USB port?

I suggest you to connect the device to a different USB port and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Follow the link, run the hardware and devices troubleshooter. Check if it helps.

Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-hardware-and-devices-Troubleshooter

If the USB port is still not detected, follow method 2.

    Method 2:

Follow the link and update the USB controller drivers. Check if it helps.

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

  • Canon Powershot G7X Mark II - no support raw in LR

Just updated to LR 6.5.1 but still not able to import camera raw files. The extracts show ok, but after the photo tagging for the import, I get a message that this raw format is not supported. I understand that it is a device very new (since May 1, 2016), still a bit disappointing because G7X mark I thought files are supported, so I naively waited it works out of the box.

From reading the forums, I got the impression that it is usually impossible to get an ETA on what support for new formats of cameras / will be added, but having a wire at least allows people to express their interest and find solutions to work with raw files in LR.

New camera model is new file format = new need software to read.

It takes usually 1.5 minor updates from Adobe to get the new camera in support of ACR and Lightroom. You are looking at a minimum of version 6.6, expected in three months, or 6.7 three months after that. About. Of course, no company, including Adobe, discussing schedules with the public.

Meanwhile, at a minimum, you can use the software provided with the camera to convert raw files TIF (or JPG) files, and then import the TIF files.

  • Length of the Canon PowerShot g15 58mm adapter

    Hello

I recently bought a bunch of lenses for my Powershot G15.  The main requirement was the gun adapter to fit on the existing, no removable lens.

The barrel fits the width, and the additional lenses are brilliant.  However, when I extend the zoom on the powershot, the existing goal hit the cannon, imposes an error and the camera stops.

I had a quick glance for the longer barrels adapter, but it only seems to be available to 58mm.

    My questions are:

    (1) I'm not supposed to zoom when using adapter lenses?

    (2) is there anywhere to buy a longer barrel adapter?

    (3) is there a trick I'm missing?

    (4) do I just totally wasted my money on this camera and this lens pack?

Sorry if this has been answered before but I've never used a forum... bit confused.

    Thank you

    Gemma

The lens should never hit your lenses added! Do not continue or you will ruin your camera.

Have you bought brand gun or a brand of alternative?

What attachments lens are you using? They exceed to below the top of the lens adapter?

The correct part number is THE DC58L and Canon says.

The lens of Conversion of THE DC58L adapter is only compatible with the TC-DC58E, the MP-14EX Macro Ring Lite tele-converter and the Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX. With older lenses of conversion is not recommended.

  • I have problems to import photos from the Canon EOS 70 d in Lightroom on a macbook pro

When I try to import photos from my Canon EOS70D in Lightroom, first I get "Preview not available for this file" for all files on the camera. If I check a few photos to import Lightroom said then that's important but the pictures never import and eventually I have to cancel the import. I tried to import a picture and this same thing is happening.

I don't think that is the cable or the camera that I can import into iPhoto from the camera using the same cable.

    All advice appreciated.

It's ok thank you, I found the problem. I have to let the camera connected to the laptop for a while. Finally, all files have thumbnails, and then I can import them. I tried before import them too quickly.

  • Is it possible to download photos from the Canon PowerShot SX710 HS to Mac OS 10.7.5?

We do not want to capture photos on our phones because it overwelms memory.  We do not want to upgrade to a new operating system due to system errors that we have faced in the past after having done this.

I don't know anything about MAC, but if you buy a memory card reader for them who should easily solve your problem. Do a google or Ebay search for price ranges.

  • Canon PowerShot S2 IS. The camera window does not work on Windows 7

On my old computer I installed software for the Canon PowerShot S2 IS and it allowed me to download the photos by using the function "window of the camera."  Let me clarify that I wanted the date taken in the name of the file of the photo.  On my new computer with windows 7 if I can see that the camera is connected when I click on 'My computer', but when I use the camera window to download it says that it cannot detect the camera.

    The info might be useful:

The next document in Canon indicates that
"CameraWindow is no longer included in ZoomBrowser EX 6.6.0b or later.

He goes on to say the following:

"CameraWindow is available on the CD-ROM as a separate module. If necessary,
install CameraWindow from the CD-ROM supplied with the product. Note: the
Serial number of your Canon product (camera, printer, etc.) is required to
    Download this file.

Here's how to access this info... go to the following link:

    http://usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/digital_cameras/powershot_g_series/powershot_s2_is#DriversAndSoftware.

Left click the "choose an operating system:" move the window, select Windows 7.

    Left click 'software '.

Left click the button 'Download' for "ZoomBrowser EX 6.6.0b Application"

This will display all the information on the download.

Also... an updated version was published on 30/03/11

Just a guess but maybe it would be interesting to try to install the update and
then reinstall CameraWindow from the CD provided with the camera.

Personally, I just download the pictures and rename them myself

Name with the date change can be done easily in a batch

Select the group from the newly downloaded (highlighted) and click with the right button on the first
    thumbnail or file name.

    In the menu... Choose... Rename...

The name of the first file... Type of...

    08/09/2011 (10001) .jpg

Press on... Enter and the remaining files will be renamed.

    08/09/2011 (10002) .jpg
    08/09/2011 (10003) .jpg
    08/09/2011 (10004) .jpg

  • Where can I find a driver for - Canon Powershot S300

Where can I find a driver for the Canon Powershot S300?

Where can I find a driver for the Canon Powershot S300?

If it exists, you can find it on the Canon website.

But you don't need. You ever need connect your device directly. Just buy a USB drive to SD card (or any form of memory card your camera uses). They are very expensive - generally around 2 US $ on Amazon.com - and are very easy to use. I find them preferable to connect the camera. on the one hand it does not use the batteries of your camera.

  • Canon PowerShot S330 digital camera 2.0mp driver

Does anyone find a Windows 7 driver for the Canon Powershot S330 camera?  I looked everywhere, but nothing helped.  I found a link, bu, it doesn't work.  Canon ceased to support this model, but I hope that there is a third-party driver out there.  (= the time I bought this camera became the last time I bought a Canon product, but never mind that for now.)  Any help would be much appreciated

Your camera is not compatible with Windows 7, see:

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Search.aspx?l=en-us&type=Hardware&s=Canon%20PowerShot%20S330%20&os=32-bit .

To transfer your photos to your PC, the simplest method is to remove the memory card from the camera and insert it in the slot on your PC. If your PC lacks a card reader, you can card USB readers very low price - just make sure she reads the type of card you are using.

  • Add Canon Powershot A700 to devices

I don't have a card reader; and I always used to just connect the USB cable to the camera and the computer would open up the file in Windows Media. Why won't it work now?

Click Start-> Control Panel-> Autorun.  To the bottom of this window, you should see the Canon Powershot A700.  Click below that and set it to the "open device stage.

If the above does not work, you can buy a card reader USB for as little as $2 at most places that sell computers.

    Good luck.
