Is there a simple way to transfer files from Windows 7 to Windows 10?

Original title: want to transfer files on my Windows 7.  Help!

Still trying to get my files from my Windows 7 laptop to my Windows 8.1.  Would it not easier that I have upgraded to Windows top 10?  Is there a simple way to transfer from Windows 7 to Windows 10?

You look in Windows Explorer > Documents, photo, music, etc.

If you don't know where you saved the files, you have a big problem.

You are the only person who knows where you saved your files.

See you soon.

  • Is there a way to transfer files from a computer that has no power on a work computer?

I have a new computer because my old one no longer lights due to a charging problem. The battery only lasts a few seconds, and the old computer does not work on AC. The computer's power cable is fine, it is internal to the old computer. My question is, is it possible to transfer files from my old computer, which has no power to the new? The old computer is running Windows XP, and the other running Windows 7. I look forward to an answer and I appreciate the time.

You can buy an adapter cable that will connect the hard drive of your old computer to your new computer as a USB device.  For example:

    Hi zztopzztop,

Instead of a new user account, you can move the public folder of music, and from there the two accounts are accessible and played.

    Check out the link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/sharing-files-with-the-public-folder

If you want to continue copying, then you can copy if the default location for the new user account.

Sign in with the user account that you may have created. To ensure that this new user account has administrator privileges.

    a. open the Explorer, click on organize, and select folder and Search Options

    b. click the display and check the option Show hidden files and folders box and click OK to save the settings.

Now navigate to your C:\Users\(Old Username folder) and copy all the files and folders in the folder C:\Users\(Old Username) in the C:\Users\(New Username folder).

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Transfer of Windows not giving an option to transfer files from Windows.old to my desired location

I installed Win7 on my computer by using 'Custom Installation', as I was advised to do.  The data from my old hard drive was stored on drive C under the name of the folder "Windows-old".

I have problems using Windows easy transfer.  It does not give me the option to transfer files from a folder on the C drive in places where I can use it for example. Word (I installed Office 2013 Home Premium).
I copied the entire "My Documents" to a flash drive, but cannot transfer data from there either.
I also installed Windows Live Mail.  I can receive and send emails, but can not access my old address book/contacts list.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated!

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • Is there an easy way to move files from subfolders to parent folder?

    Hello

I was using Senuti and I made a return of my iPod classic and it works fine the only thing because of different folders for each artist and inside each artist folder each album he owns the folder. I was wondering is there a quick and easy way to move all the files from subfolders to a master folder?

    Thank you

If you have added the tracks to iTunes, see http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=filerenamer.

That said, I recommend usually leave iTunes to manage the media folder.

  • Cannot transfer files from iPad to MacBook

Personally, I understand better than anything else of directories.   I guess that when you connect the iPad to the MacBook using the USB connection - you cannot move pictures as you would with any other device connected as a drive.

    Okay, so what now?

I was with my iPad to take shots (my first mistake).  Due to the number of falls that I ran out of memory and it stopped everything - now I do not know how to remove the iPad videos and placed them on my MacBook.

At first, when I plugged the iPad for the Macbook using the USB I had an application that seemed to allow you to "import" - I did.  Or do I think that I did.   Where it matters to I don't have any idea.  Directories of meaning for me - but whatever the application is - I had zero indicating where the photos/empty went.  I've been good with that - thinking I could use the find command to locate my videos at a later date.

But now this mysterious request automatically don't invoke not himself.   = / I cycled the power on my iPad - with no luck.

I've heard that iTunes could be a portal for the transfer of files form an iPad with other devices.   I opened iTunes on my MacBook with the iPad connected - but nothing obvious jumped out to me (as a directory) that allows me to easily move these videos.

I guess I should buy some type of camcorder.

In any case - if there is a simple way to transfer files from an iPad to a Macbook (for example a directory) then let me know.  I'd appreciate it really.

    Thank you

Please understand that I want to say this quite constructive feedback.  I suggest a change in your way of thinking.

I suggest that you leave the point of view of directory at the door when you work with an iPad and a Mac.  Apple devices tend to use directories to answer the question 'how', something is done.  But the "how" may change from time to time.

However, if you focus on 'what' to do (for example, move pictures to the iPad for the Mac), you'll realize the functions (applications) on both ends that manipulate your data.

On the end of the iPad, this app is Photos.  And on the side of Mac, that request is probably too Photos - assuming that your Mac operating system is up-to-date.

So, check in the Photos of the Mac app and see if your photos are here.  Absolutely, do not worry about the Photos app directories used to store these photos.  If you need to send them elsewhere, export Photos of Macs.

  • Transfer files from UNIX server to the Windows server access path

Hello Experts, (Gud Gud same backward and Gud Mor)

Is there a way to transfer files from UNIX (Oracle database) server, to Windows server? AFAIK if path of Windows. I am able to read the file because it is on the server, but it does not recognize the Windows directory at all.

If you can share documents around this study, I will be grateful.

    Kind regards

You can download this PL/SQL package to FTP in PL/SQL. It is old, but still needs to do the job. Do not forget that in 11g, an ACL must be created to allow the code to access the network.

An alternative is to a Unix script ftp script and run (as an external process) using DBMS_SCHEDULER.

    Turn on the guy.
You have installed MS Works. This is not the same thing as MS Excel.
I didn t try to open excel with MS works files, but it seems that it s is not possible!
The excel files must be saved in Microsoft Works format, if you want to open with work!

Install Excel if you want to open and use files other people Excel.
