Is - this here anyway to make InDesign CS5.5 to mask the default rule at the opening of the docs?

I have my models all together to the top so I have to see the sovereign more .  I wish, it would not appear whenever I open a document

When no document is open in InDesign, choose View > hide the rulers. Then whenever you create a new document, the leaders won't show.

  • InDesign CS5 do not recognize the Plug-Ins

After installing CS5, when I run the application InDesign, I get a string of error messages like this:

"Adobe InDesign does not recognize InCopyImport.InDesignPlugin as a plug-in. Please reinstall the plugin InCopyImport.InDesignPlugin and restart InDesign. »

To my knowledge, I've never installed a plugin in the first place, and I don't know where to start to reinstall the plug-in in question. Why is this happening?

Looks like your first installation has been hit. You must uninstall, run the cleanup script (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/829/cpsid_82947.html), and then reinstall and make sure that you have administrator privileges and you have disabled everything don't not need to operate the computer.

  • InDesign CS5.5 cannot select the tool move

I have InDesign CS5.5, installed on a desktop computer (Windows 7 Home) and it works fine. I installed it on a second desktop computer (Windows 7 Professional). It seemed to install and update fine. However, if I create a new document and drag a rectangle I can't access the move tool to move and I can not change the size and position using the boxes below the menu bar.

    All of the suggestions.

  • Make Indesign cross link references to the top/above the point of landing?

The cross-references in InDesign, create interactive hyperlinks that point to a location in the PDF file where the paragraph of targeted destination is just at the top of the page. Often, it's too far - sometimes the text of the paragraph is actually the top of the page, and usually it's partially on the top of the screen.

When a person follows a link, the text more in sight in the middle of the page has nothing to do with the link they clicked, and the position that matches what they clicked is often partially on the top of the page as if it were scrolled beyond past. From my experience, that it looks like a mistake - they often do not see where they are supposed to begin to read until, in the confusion, they scroll upward a little.

Is it possible to control this - to make cross-references jump up to a point with a decent amount of padding in the top, so that what am looking for the user appears in good position on the screen?

After a few tries, I found something that might help to workaround: the "vertical offset" value for the first character in the paragraph destination determines where the new cross reference scroll will land. This could be the break character and could have (invisible) value of offset of baseline in a previous paragraph.

    • Give that first paragraph a positive base offset value is high, and there will be a corresponding filling above the text amount when the incoming scroll lands.
    • Give that first paragraph a very negative base offset value, and it will be pushed up above the top of the screen an equivalent amount.

In my problem paragraphs that were not yet on the screen when an incoming link landed, their first character (a tab between the paragraph 'bullets and numbers' number and text) acquired somehow a negative change, one above in unrelated paragraph.

OK, the problem is solved (had no crash in 2 days).

The problem was the regular police Cambria, version 5.00, I had originally. Got a new file with the same version and things work very well.

My regular original v5.00 Cambria has about 1.5 MB and the other file, the same version of the police, has 1.0 MB. So, 2 different files, same version. An ID crashing, it works well.

    The "good".

Cambria regular version 5.00, 'cambria.ttc' leader, 1065 KB,.

    The 'bad '.

Cambria regular version 5.00, 'cambria.ttc' file, 1585 KB.

    MD5: 530e4f16910be9010ccdda67146e8438

PS: The other version of the police (5.96 and 5.93) gave me the same accident.

The correct font for me? Cambria version 5.00 1065 KB size regular, with the above md5 sum. (ID and Word 2010 are ok).

  • InDesign CS5 "unable to copy the necessary or related files" when packing

InDesign will not include my book, and I don't know why, but I think it all stems from the OSx Mavericks update I did last week. (I did not have to pack a book since before the update and just now stumbled upon this problem.) We have 2 pimps & have the same problem on both.

If someone could help me, it would be great! Thank you very much.

If you are the only user who uses the computer the files you are referring are those that would be needed for troubleshooting for any failure of the system. I recommend you do not remove all the files that are hidden or disk rot.

  • Trial InDesign CS5.5 crash at startup

    Hello

I have a problem with the Trial Version of the suite CS5.5 Design Premium where shortly after the start, the program crashes and gives me the spinning wheel of death (mac) InDesign CS5.5.

In two of these scenarios, open an existing Document or to create a new Document, I can create/open the document but then immediately after that the document opens in the workspace, the application stops responding.

Here is the configuration that I work with:

    Apple iMac (iMac11, 3)

    Intel core i5 2.8 ghz

    4 GB DDR3 1333 mhz RAM

    ATI Radeon HD 5750

1 TB 7200 RPM HARD drive

    Magic mouse

    Wireless keyboard

    OS x Snow Leopard 10.6.7

The system is a new system and has all the latest updates software for OSX. The only fonts are the default values of the system and MS Office 2011 fonts.

I tried uninstall/re-installing several times and met with the same results.

Any help or support would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

  • How better to import the QuarkXpress 8.0 files in InDesign CS5

    People,

Searched the forum, but I only find info on old versions of Quark and InDesign.

I have a ton of user final documents in QuarkXpress 8.0 I need to import in InDesign CS5.  (Here is the manuals installation and operation for data modems and telephony with many illustrations and diagrams in them).  I just downloaded the trial version of InDesign CS5 and could use some help.

The procedure of import (for the old software) seemed to be quite heavy.  I hope that InDesign CS5 is more capable and efficient import of QuarkXpress files.  I also read on of Markzware Q2ID.  This product does work with InDesign CS5, or is it still necessary with InDesign CS5?

All advice will be appreciated.  You need to start soon!

    Thanks for your help!

Yes it works, Yes, it is necessary, don't... Is there any alternative reasonable without a Q8, 5, 6 and 7.

    FWIW, he's worth every dinner.

  • Help with PDF import Indesign CS5 trial version

Hello: I'm in a bit of a quandry. I have many PDF files I want to convert it to Epub. I called Adobe and asked them what program I need to do and they said InDesign CS5, so I downloaded the trial version to check it out. The problem is that there is no command to 'place' in the trial version, which is how could import the PDF file. So I'm left unable to perform a test with this software and don't want to buy a program that I can not confirm. Workarounds or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    Krista

No command to place? Check work spaces to make sure that you do not have one that hides the menu items.

Secondly, I don't see how InDesign is going to be the right tool for this.

  • Relocation of Adobe InDesign CS5

  • How to set up default InDesign CS5 in the system with InDesign CS4 has the default value?

How to set the application default .indd InDesign CS5 when you installed CS5 and InDesign CS4 and InDesign CS4 is the current default (InDesign CS4 has been installed after the installation of CS5)

Thanks, but I already tried at first, but is not effective.

I think that its because of this reason:
The two - InDesign CS4 and InDesign CS5 have their application/program/exe named "indesign.exe".

Installation of either InDesign CS4 or InDesign CS5, sets a default for the 'indesign.exe' Windows path. In this case, since InDesign CS4 was installed later (after InDesign CS5 was already installed), the "indesign.exe" which has been staged "Indesign.exe" of InDesign CS5 has been replaced by "Indesign.exe" of InDesign CS4.

But after long google and searching through regedit, I have the solution:

    1. Search for HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\InDesign.Document\Shell\Open\Command in regedit
    2. Change the value of the attribute (default) for "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe" '%1' / / including the quotes

  • Adobe Indesign CS5.5 Disc - Installer failed to initialize

I tried in vain to install my Adobe Indesign cs5.5 drive for the first time in my Dell Latitude E6400 laptop computer (Windows vista, intel core2 /duo - I meet all the system requirements). I get the message "Setup cannot initialize. Please contact Adobe support. »

I followed the suggestions of using indesign cs5 from adobe.com and executed the Adobe Cs5 cleaner tool. This did not help. I also disabled my anti-virus to be sure.

Should I rather download the program from the internet and then enter my serial code? It's my only option? Could you please give me some other suggestions.  Your help is greatly appreciated.

    David

As you suggest initially, download the trial of the Adobe.com site. The Setup is the same, and you will be able to enter your serial number, either during installation or in the Help menu after. This will confirm if the problem is your disk or other system soemthing. If it is the drive, call the service and they will send you a new.

  • Problem of ball when creating tables and blocks of text in InDesign CS5

Every time I have create a new text frame or a table in InDesign CS5 and paste information, the first row in the table or several lines of text out with chips. I don't know that it's a style at some point, I created and am now unsure how to remove or setting. I would like the new blocks of text and tables do not include by default when imported or pasted chips. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Default values for the text in the current document are made with no selected text. Disable the chips and they should stay off (but check styles, also, you have perhaps accidentally set a style bulleted as the default and you must change the default style instead). If this is the case in all files, you must do with nothing open to reset the default for all new documents (existing files, must unfortunately be set one at a time).
