Is what type of port HDMI in HP Pavilion DV6 Entertainment Notebook PC series?

I want to buy an HDMI cable to connect LCD TV with my HP Pavilion dv6-1161tx Entertainment Notebook PC. I'm not sure wheather it's a size normal HDMI or Mini HDMI port on laptop!

If anyone can confirm?

See you soon

I'm sure that its HDMI standard size, seems to be the same size as what is on the TV

    Hello @srinathkn,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I read your message and understand that you try to use Miracast on your Pavilion dv6 notebook. As noted in your post and Maintenace and Service of Guide, Miracast is not supported by this type of laptop. There are a few third party options that don't use Miracast, more commonly known as transmitter and receiver HDMI systems.

  • Where are the Ports USB 3.0 of my HP Pavilion dv6-6158nr Notebook?

I am unable to find the Ports of USB 3.0 on my HP Pavilion dv6-6158nr laptop.

Please tell which side are these ports and how to get the maximum speed out of them?

    Hi Hanazir,

    You'll love this.

Get a bright light and shine on the left side of the laptop.

Now, get a magnifying glass and look carefully next to the USB ports.

3.0 ports are marked with the logo 'SuperSpeed '. "SS".

Similar to this, but very, very small!

To get the maximum speed, use only with devices usb 3.0 - external hard drives, USB sticks, etc done to run with this technology.

There is no harm in using the USB3 ports with usb devices 2.  In most cases, USB 2 devices work as expected when connected to a USB 3 port.  There are rare cases where the USB 2 device may not work when it is attached to a port USB 3.  Before you accuse the laptop / desktop or even the port and if your laptop don't not have a USB 2 port, then consider to plug a USB 3 hub that supports one or more USB 2 ports and try that.  A few specialized 2 USB devices require USB 2 connection - deal with it.

    Dragon tips

USB 3 external drives: offset connection, more or less depending on your hub, your hardware and your player can add up to an unacceptable delay when you use a USB 3 hub in conjunction with port USB 3.  Huh?  Unless absolutely necessary, do not use a USB hub 3 with an external drive USB 3 - connect the USB 3 drive directly to your 3 USB port on the computer.

Other usb devices 3 work well on the SIIG 7port USB 3.0 / 2.0 Hub - this is a very nice quality, IMO and is supported by its own power supply.  Nice.

  • What model should I get for my Pavilion DV6-3150us? I think that the jury must be replaced.

My Pavilion DV6-3150us has problems with the Council and I plan to replace. Should what advice I expect? The model please. Thank you.

I guess you mean the card mother aka mainboard? You will need the manual of maintenance here:

    Manual

You have UMA or shared with the Intel Core i5 processor video model first generation including the chipset HM55. This is the REF HP of the Board of Directors, you must:

Map graphics Intel HM55 UMA and shared memory 615281-001

HP still has the jury in stock:

    https://h20141.www2.HP.com/hpparts/Search_Results.aspx?mscssid=77681FA0C3354C2BAE5E6627AD5B70F6&SearchIn=PartNumber&SearchPN=615281-001

If your Board is bad HP will exchange it for $264. If the price seems high to you (it does for me) then you can consider an alternative like this seller on eBay:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/HP-DV6-3000-Intel-motherboard-615281-001-works-/281467246032?PT=motherboards&hash=item4188c155d0

The above is shipped from $55.

There are a lot of the same card on eBay, but the prices looked better from a seller of good reputation, shipped from the United States

The only replacement that you can do is with a part of HP. There is no spare parts standard of the industry and desktop computers. It's all HP owners.

  • What type of port SATA is it?

    Hello.

There are two SATA ports on this picture that aren't like something I've never seen before: Red (SATA4) and black (SATA5) ones.  What kind of connector works with this kind of thing?  I tried the splined type 'L' and I do not see that it will work. Or maybe I'm missing something?

    Hello

You can use one of these sata angle left to right sata cables.  It would apply either a left or right sata plug.

  • The HDMI Option is not available in Windows 7 (x 64) [HP Pavilion DV5 Entertainment Notebook PC 1138-NR]

I recently updated my laptop from Vista Home Premium (x 64) 7 Ultimate (x 64). I currently have my laptop connected to a HP w2338h monitor with built-in speakers, and he gave me the opportunity to use it in Vista. When I upgraded, I have the video perfectly but the sound does not work. I checked my reading devices, but there is no HDMI output. Oh and I installed the IDT Audio driver and the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator for Windows Update. Any ideas?

    Thank you!

SOLVED! The problem for me was that the driver Intel itself was not compatible for some reason any. If you go to start > right click on computer > click Properties > click on Device Manager on the side > go to sounds and Audio devices > click Intel High Deffinitions Audio HDMI

When you go through the process of updating, there is a second option for the driver himself called high Deffinitions Audio Device. Use this driver instead and VOILA! Now it works perfectly fine.

    Up to 8 GB max.

3, 23 and 57 in the manual page gives the details you need.

Put two stick 4 GB of exactly the same configuration, speed etc as in the manual and each other, perhaps even brand. Crucial, Kingston have their online scanners that contains the list guaranteed compatible sticks.

You can also order the HP part, if you need to get the exact part of HP part store or online retailers via Amazon or eBay.

  • Ports USB 3.0 on HP Pavilion dv6-6015tx laptop computer

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6015tx-Notebook that I've upgraded to Windows 8.1 (transcript).
Now my problem is that when I connect my USB 3.0 drive to my laptop the transfer speed is not more than 40-45 Mbps. So, help me and tell me which two ports are USB 3.0 ports in my laptop (that I'm not sure about that).
Earlier, I used to get the speed of transfer of 90-95 Mbits / s, but after a few deiver updates and do not know what it has reduced.

The usb 3.0 ports will be a symbol of the SS (superspeed) marked next to the USB symbol.  You need to install the usb 3.0 for Windows 8.0 driver (if available) for the performance of usb 3.0. I'll check to see if it is and provide a link.

There is no driver for windows 8 usb 3.0 available for download. You may need to install Island version Windows 7 in compatibility mode. It may also be available via Windows update.

    Hello

It's an HDMI output to connect to an LCD TV (for example).

  • What type of cable/port is called also where I can buy one?

Please link me the website where they have cable!

This is the "mini-DVI' to this end.  Cabe you need depends on what type of monitor or projector, you need to connect to the other side?  Apple sells adapters for this purpose and made StarTech.

    Hello

I'll buy a cable to connect my Tecra to the TV. The manual of the TV indicates that laptop to connect may have a DVI or VGA connector.

What type of connector the Tecra A10 - 11I there? I can't find this information anywhere.

    Thanks for the help!

    > I can't find this information anywhere.
    It's really strange.
You have this laptop in front of you?

All ports are described in the document user s manual, so please open and check the 35-40 pages. You will find explanations for all available ports.

If you do not have this document you can download it HERE.

You will need a PCIE x 1 firewire card location.    (1) you have firewire 400 (1394-a) or 800 (1394b)? See here for examples, the 400 is angular, the 800 is rectangular.   This page lists different cards

  • Pavilion DV6 and HDMI port

    Hello

By some funny/compliants rules, almost all laptops have only ports HDMI output, including your machine. No, it of impossible, you can't connect out - to - PC, do not get anything.

    Kind regards.
