ISDN link and automatic matching IL1.1.3 and TC 7.2

Hi all!

I put the TC7.2.1 registry running on 10.5 CUCM implement Cisco MX700.

I try to pair with this endpoint the ISDN link with the latest IL1.1.3.

I followed the documentation that indicates endpoint and ISDN link should be in the same subnet, which is the case (both devices are on the same switch, same subnet, same vlan, no firewall).

But when I try to manage the devices in order to discover the ISDN link, nothing, endpoint is not able to find it.

I'll double check on the CLI of ISDN connection If pairing is in auto mode, which is the case.

I would like to know if there is something missing?

Thank you

Gabriel

Please make sure you have IPv6 enabled on endpoint and ISDNLink.

  • matching codec c40 with ISDN link problem

    Hello world

    Would really appreciate if someone can help me with my problem.

    I have 2 sites. Each site has a c40 codec which is connected to a cisco ISDN link box. Each box contains 3 BRI connections. The system is essentially set up at the video-conference from one site to the other. C40 codecs have been paired with boxes of ISDN link manually due to the old firmware. Now that the firmware has been upgraded on all devices, I am trying to pair the codec with the ISDN link using the 'auto' mode so I can configure the ISDN codec c40 GUI link.

    The problem I have is that when I pair it in auto mode, the ISDN link is seen by the codec and matched succesffuly but I get an "error" and the reason for the error is "no sip registered to peripheral H320" or something of the sort. The rest of the configuration is the same, all im doing is pairing in auto mode. At this point, I can't do a video call-out. Can I make changes to the GUI hoewever c40 ISDN link and it shows as paired.

    When I change the sip profile out to 'off' in the sip codec c40 profile settings, now, there is no error. The sip profile in the ISDN link area is also set to off.

    Can someone help me what are the correct settings for outgoing SIP and the above error message please. It will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

    Outgoing SIP should be turned off if you use the ISDN codec liaison, so please meke it took off.

    for the composition, should not use composition commnad complex that you scoop with TC 5.x and IT 1.0,

    With TC 6.x just enter number and select protocol H320.

  • Matching C20 with ISDN link question

    Hi, can someone help me on initial connectivity C20 with ISDN link? I C20 codec with 1 LAN port which is connected to link ISDN endpoint port, the link ISDN of LAN port is connected to the internal network. I configured the IP Link ISDN: XXX.XXX. XXX.251 and codec on XXX.252 both are the same subnet.

    Given that a single LAN port, how can I access the web interface of the codec to check and perform pairing? If in case, the codec is on firmware older supporting not pairing function so how can't I perform manual synchronization. Cannot access the ISDN link by series.

    Hello

    CAN´t you just plug your PC on the network internal (same subnet as the ISDN link and the codec) and access the Web interface of the codec: http://x.x.x.252 ?

    What versions of software are you using?

  • InDesign automatic creation of e-mail incorrect link and cannot stop it.

    InDesign automatically creates a link to an e-mail when I make a PDF. When you click on the link on the PDF... it fills the section 'a' of the e-mail program with more of the email address. (The title of the circular, the first sentence and the rest of the footer information is included)

    Happens if I copy the text into another program and delete the old text box and create a new text box and paste it into. It also happens if I align this text on another document, and then create a PDF of that one.

    'Include hyperlinks' is not checked in the window export to PDF format.

    Using Windows and InDesign CS5

    Footer information contains:

    title company • the web address [email protected]

    If I take the symbol of this text @ box and got in another text box and place it on the rest of the text... which sometimes fix it. But if I then try to reuse this footer, then copy it into another document, it no longer works.

    I hope someone can help I feel like InDesign is almost owned and creating links when I don't want it.

    Are you sure what ID fact the link and not Acrobat or reader - who, by default both are trying to establish links of what they think that look like links?  Unfortunately, they often guess wrong. You can't have your readers to change this setting in their player, but you can have IDS to establish a real connection and transmit it to the PDF when exporting.

  • Open a Telnet with Firefox link and bad things can happen

    I happened to come across a site with a number of links, and I chose the one who happened to be a telnet link. This is my experience, and I had to put myself in the shoes of the average user who knows nothing about programming.

    The link that has caused problems of Firefox where Firefox was chosen to run it is:
    Telnet://DXC.nc7j.com:7300

    Click on the link and Firefox tells you you have to select a program to open the Internet shortcut Shell extension DLL. I've never heard of this, and I have no idea what to do here.

    Choose to open with Firefox.

    Now, if an error handling routine had taken that Firefox, which is not able to Telnet, was chosen by the unconscious person behind the keyboard to move forward and do Telnet, the error handler advises the user on the fact that this Protocol is not taken in charge and kill the process that is going to run out of control if not. Or to open the program which will run the Telnet session.

    Better yet, I clicked on the link Telnet and offer a better description of the choices.

    After all what happened, that I have installed a browser based on Chromium, iron and he opened a Telnet session window immediately.

    This did happen, clicked on Firefox to do this chore and was welcomed by an opening endless empty tabs and the browser is closed, he raised and I was off to the races again. And once again.

    OK, so this isn't getting us anywhere.

    Firefox opens once more, this time hitting the big red X to close it and leave asked it to close but many tabs invites when even sitting there.

    I chose to run CCleaner and I put that to blow the Firefox Cache and session. Run CCleaner and tell him to force Firefox closed when he asks that Firefox is open.

    If by chance, Firefox launches once again, the timing was perfect as the file that was the origin of Firefox open wasn't cleaned yet, then run the CCleaner a few times. When Firefox is the opening is no longer, we are in the world of mental health.

    Now, I could go to reset the Tools Options Applications tab and search for Telnet and replace the use of Firefox with 'ask me '.

    Fortunately, I know a little bit more than some about the computer, and I knew I had to use a utility to clear the Firefox cache.

    You have a description of the problem in your knowledge base, but he has Firefox open the empty tabs without end, but Firefox was closed and the situation is under control... Restart Firefox manually, start a new session, and then enter the menu Tools and difficulty setting.

    There is an article in the knowledge base on this theme, but there the user to close Firefox, and then everything is back to normal. You can open Firefox and enter the menu to resolve the problem. There was a mention in there any malware as a possible cause of the constant reopening that I lived, but Malwarebytes scans were clean.

    "Well, this is awkward!" I have seen that nice touch to Firefox for many years and may I want to congratulate those who thought of that one.

    There are a couple of settings related to resume your previous session after a crash:

    (A) resume automatically, but if Firefox crashes twice in a row, displays a list of windows and tabs and let me choose. (default)

    (B) does not resume automatically, always show the list of windows and tabs and let me choose; (I recommend this approach) or

    (C) never automatically resume and do not display the list.

    Switching to B or C requires a visit to Firefox about: config preferences editor.

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste sess and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    For "B":

    Double-click the browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes preference from 1 to 0 (that's a zero).

    For "C":

    Double-click on browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash preference to change its value from true to false.

  • Setting IE/Live Hotmail as default mail client, so it responds to a click on a mailto link: link and not Outlook Express

    It is actually in two parts/problems; Maybe (probably) closely related.
    ... And it's weird because it used to work (weird especially when it comes to problem no. 1 b).

    Problem # 1
    When I click on an e-mail address embedded (a mailto link :) in some (.doc .rtf, .html, etc.) I opened, I want to have the system open IE, connect me to my Windows Live Hotmail (http://mail.live.com/...) account and open the new page/screen e-mail message.) He used to do this. I have somehow messed up things upwards; How I know not (duh). Instead, it will now fire a new Message Outlook Express 6.0 dialog box.

    (1) I'm under Win XP Pro SP3 with all the critical updates installed.

    (2) I have a hotmail.com account and the system has my saved credentials.

    (3) I have Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live Mail is installed.

    (4) I have Windows Live Messenger is set up (under the menu item Tools/Options/Connection tab) with:
    a. "automatically run Windows Live Messenger when I connect Windows' checked
    b. "'Main window open Windows Live Messenger to Windows Live Messenger startup' UNchecked '.
    c. "automatically open a session when connected to the Internet" checked

    (5) I have Windows Live Mail set up (the tab Tools/Options/connections point menu - sign in to Windows Live services section) to "Stop signing In" - i.e. the "Sign In" button is enabled and the 'Stop Signing In' button is disabled (because it is already selected)

    This configuration (4 & 5) is so when I right click on the Windows Live Messenger icon in the system Notification bar and select 'Mail box' in the menu contextual, Messenger opens IE to my Hotmail Live (http://mail.live.com/...) account, sign me and puts me in my Inbox as opposed to the opening of the Live Mail client. No problem, it's what I want. The only time where I use the client Live Mail is when I have to compose an e-mail with pictures incorporated into the body of the message (which is rare), and then I manually start it (Live Mail). This can be done using IE/Live Hotmail; I can only attach photos there, not incorporated the. That's how my system was config support when you click on a mailto link: link would open up IE/Live Hotmail and not Outlook Express.

    In addition,

    (6) I have:
    a. under the radio button "Use my current e-mail program" Set Program Access and Defaults/Custom is selected and have the box "enable access to this program" UNchecked for Outlook Express (I also tried uncheck the 'enable...) "for Windows Live Mail - no change.

    I then tried...
    (b) in "Add/Remove Windows components" untick the Outlook Express check box. I then let XP run installation and rebooted.

    The reason why I did 6 b is to see what tracks if Outlook Express is not installed.
    Now, where is start to get weird and brings me to...

    Problem no. 1 b
    Outlook Express 6.0 (OE6.0) be uninstall under XP Pro/SP3 and if so, how?

    After step 6 b restarts, I open a file with a link to e-mail built in, clicked on it and now it opens nevertheless OE6.0
    So I open Win Explorer and of course the folder as c:\programs\outlook Express is still there and complete with all files .dll, .exe, etc..
    Now I'm really scratching my head! I know I said XP installation does not install Outlook Express.

    So now I decide to play with fire...
    I open the upward Task Manager to see which runs when the new Message of OE6.0 dialog box is in place (this is msimn.exe)
    So just to smile and laugh, I msimn.exe and rename it to Xmsimn.exe, go back in the file with the link, click on it and what's going on, you guessed it, OE6.0 is running! I switch back to Win Explorer, and the renamed file is still there, but now IS msimn.exe BAAAACK!

    Now, here's where it comes down right spoooooky. I created a new folder in C:\Programs\Outlook Express, all of the files selected in the C:\Programs\Outlook Express and drop them in the new folder. And then looking at the contents of the Outlook Express folder in the right pane (which is now empty other than the new folder), one by one, all the files OE re - APPEAR in the OE folder.
    WHAT IS PAST WITH IT!

    All the files that I moved to the new folder are still there, including the renowned Xmsimn.exe.
    It is as if the system will not let you remove the OE components and withdrew them a .cab file, somewhere, even if I said do not install Outlook Express!

    Now, this problem is really secondary to # 1 has. I don't really need the answer, he just freaks me the system is something like this and I would like to know how and why of it. I use any OE 6.0, it's just take disk space.
    (I even uninstalled my installation of MS Office Outlook)

    And I don't like how # 1a is resolved. I am quite able to pull the top of RegEdt32 or what is needed to fix it (after backup the registry and/or a restore point first, of course.)

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,
    Paul

    Well, I found the answer to problem # 1 to myself.
    Somehow the IE Tools/Internet Options/programs Internet/tab setting programs section e-mail field has NOT been defined. It was empty.
    I put it to "Windows Live Hotmail" and BINGO! Click on an embedded mailto: link and pops up a new IE window connected to my Hotmail account, open electronic 'Composer the Message' page with the To: field with the link I clicked on.

    Now if only one of you gurus out there can answer problem # 1 b (can Outlook Express 6.0 (OE6.0) be uninstall under XP Pro/SP3 and if so, how? -see my OP) I'll be in sleep with nightmares of moved files reappear magically in an empty folder!

  • Cisco Telepresence ISDN link with endpoint SX20

    Hello

    I have two SX20 and an ISDN connection.

    Knowing as ISDN link manage calls for an endpoint, how can route calls to Internet of endpoint connected to the ISDN link box?

    Is their any possibility to separate between ISDN and IP calls?

    Thanks and greetings

    Driss

    The ISDN link can be connected to both the ISDN services and your local network to make calls over IP or ISDN.  See the example of the C40 "Combining of ISDN and IP" in the link ISDN data sheet and the section on outbound calls in the Setup Guide.  These are also detailed in the Administrator's Guide.

    You do no way, it was not designed to be is supposed to work this way, allowing you to make IP or ISDN calls.  We have ours up and running in this way and it works well.

    One thing to check would be the network cables that you are using - good markets and bad cables can often cause problems when using a quality cable can solve the problem.

    Check your switch configuration to make sure that you are not forcing a setting the speed/duplex, which then is not being properly negotiated by the equipment then plug (or make sure that force you the settings the entire path if you need to do).

  • The upgrade of Cisco ISDN Link software

    Hi guys!

    Miss me something, when you try to download the software on the ISDN link. I have the connected to the PC via a serial cable, I can then go into the API with HyperTerminal and set the root password, but when I try to connect with WinSCP I just get the error ' gethostbyname: unknown error "." I need to enter the hostname of course, this is a silly question probably, but that is the same as the name of the system unit?

    I can't use the URL method since we have no internet connectivity for the device.

    Any ideas would be very welcome, it's probably something very simple that I'm missing. The current configuration is the default value of the plant besides the root password change.

    WinSCP requires that your ISDNLInk and your PC are both on the IP network, it is not copy on a serial connection, you are just using the connection set for call orders.  Similar to the TFTP method (what you can do on your own TFTP server, it cannot be the one on the Internet).

    Another option, which I think the best way to upgrade an ISDNLInk, is to do it via the web interface of the SX20 or some point of endpoints that you use with and you can download the file via your web browser.

  • Textoverset and the missing links and fonts

    Hello

    OBS: this is for the use of InDesign CS3

    I have this script that checks the overset text:

    if (app.documents.length != 0){

       var myFrames = app.activeDocument.textFrames;

       var thePageNames = new Array();

       for (var j = 0 ; j <= (myFrames.length - 1); j++) {

         if(myFrames[j].overflows == true){

           try {

             thePageName = myFrames[j].parent.documentOffset;

           } catch (e) {

             continue; // must be on Pasteboard so ignore

           }

           thePageNames[thePageName] = 1

         }

       }

       if (thePageNames.length == 0) {

         alert("No oversets found on pages.");

       } else{

         var s = "";

         for (i in thePageNames) {

           s = s + app.documents[0].pages[Number(i) - 1].name + ", ";

         }

         s = s.substring(0,s.length - 2);

         alert("Check for oversets on page(s): " + "\n" + s);

       }

     } else {

       alert("No documents are open.");

     }

    I need to adapt to this script:

    var doc = app.activeDocument;
    var _PDFExportPreset = app.pdfExportPresets.item('MyPDFSetting');
    if (_PDFExportPreset == null){
       alert('Preset is missing');
       exit();
    }
    var _DocName = doc.name.replace(/\.indd/, "");
    var _EndNumber = parseInt(_DocName.match(/\d{3}$/),10); /* extract end number */
    /* test if is a number */
    if (isNaN(_EndNumber)){
        alert('End document name is not a number');
        exit();
    }

    for(i = 0; i < doc.pages.length; i++){
        _PageName = doc.pages.item(i).name;
        app.pdfExportPreferences.pageRange = _PageName;
        _NewNumber = _EndNumber + i; /* incresase number */
        _NewNumber = ("00"+_NewNumber).slice(-3); /* padding */
        _DocName = _DocName.replace(/\d{3}$/,_NewNumber); /* replace number in doc name */
        _PDFfile = new File('\\\\Testserver\\Test\\'.concat(_DocName,'.pdf'));
        doc.exportFile(ExportFormat.pdfType, _PDFfile, false, _PDFExportPreset);
    }

    //If the active document has been changed since it was last saved, save it.
    if(app.activeDocument.modified == true){
     app.activeDocument.save();
    }
    //Closes the active document.
    app.activeDocument.close()
    ;

    So if there is NO excess of text I need the script to continue the race and that he there IS in excess of text inside the structure of the document and the active layer I need to alert and stop. It's possilble that I would also like this, it is possible for the user to ignore the overset text and continue to make the script run.

    AND I would also check the missing or outdated links AND missing fonts in princip as well as overset text.

    Hi runew73276507,

    s = s.substring (0, s.length - 2);

    If (! confirm ("check the oversets on the page (s):" + "\n" + s + "\nDo you want to continue...)) »))

    Exit();

    }

    } else {}

    Alert ("no documents are open.");

    Exit();
