ISO-13346 "UDF".

I have Vista and am trying to upgrade to Windows 7. When I insert the Windows 7 installation disc the following README TXT message arrives. "This disc contains a"UDF"file system and requires an operating system that supports the ISO-13346"UDF"file system specification. I'm assuming that Vista supports this system.

There are a number of possible applications that you may have installed. Nero 7 and other, for the work with this player. You know what you have looking into the application of programs and features in Control Panel. I try to remove these applications one at a time and restart to try the disc.

  • This disc contains a "UDF" file system and requires an operating system that supports the ISO-13346 "UDF" file system specification.

I've seen other posts on this topic. Nothing seems to work, so I thought I would explain my situation.

The machine is new. Win7 64 bit company. The problem I see is that I try to load some versions of Visual Studio on the new machine. However, none of the discs auto-run using my local internal DVD drive. They all have a Readme file with the message "this disc contains a"UDF"file system and requires an operating system that supports the ISO-13346"UDF"file system specification."

I know that the discs are good, I used the on my old machine, and I can always use them on other machines I tested.

The real kicker here is that I can plug an external USB DVD drive... and then the local drive starts to read the installation discs! It's like making this action allows something else in the machine.

Also, I even restarted the machine mode of diagnosis (without external DVD drive attached)... and restart, the drive would read the installation discs. BUT when I do a full stop and then turn on the machine upward, the local drive gives me the same readme file. Again, it is as if something gets activated, and then reset to a complete stop.

I am at a loss of what to check then. Real head-scratcher, because I know the drive works and the machine can recognize the drive and even read installation discs.

I do not have the applications installed on the machine of DVD burning, so I don't think there is a conflict.

    Any suggestions are welcome.

    Thanks in advance!

  • How to go from stater from windows 7 to windows 7 Home Edition premium if I can't get the download of file system iso-13346 udf

I bought a notebook with windows 7 starter on this subject, I would like to upgrade to windows edition Home premium that I bought, but when I try to install the software I get a message that I need to run file system iso-13346 udf. I tried to find a download for this without success, where can I find a download for this software without information confussing. Thanks for your help Bryan.

If the Windows 7 Home Premium license you have access to is either an Express upgrade, full retail of upgrade or version, you can use the product key and upgrade Express from Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Home Premium. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option to enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Home Premium, when asked, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium files the stored settings and programs.

After graduating the .iso file, you use the Microsoft .iso to USB/DVD tool to create a bootable DVD or USB (requires a blank DVD or USB flash to at least 4 GB key).

  • recently bought FSX, disc 2 seems to be empty!

OK, in detail. Buy FSX yesterday, it ran today. The first record runs at the end, but when I insert the disc 2 in the "Please insert disc 2' command prompt, the dvd works continuously and asks again for disc 2 to insert." On the use of 'Explorer' to display the contents of the disc, nothing is displayed, no file, no icons, nothing. The operating system is Windows XP Pro SP 3. When I checked the drive in a Vista system all files appear. This could be something to do with the file system ISO-13346 UDF?

  • Problems installing Windows 7 on my Dell

    Hello

I'm having a hard time installing windows 7 on my computer. I have a Dell Dimension 3000, in which I currently upgraded the memory to 2 GB and installed a dvd/cd burner, Pioneer (DVR-A18M) to run Windows 7.  When I try to install the program, however, I get only a text "read me" who says "this disc contains a"UDF"file system and requires an operating system".
that supports the ISO-13346 "UDF" file system specification. "

I'm completely lost on how to solve the problem! Can anyone lead me in the right direction!

PS I have downloaded and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, and it says that my computer is compatible with the exception of the Aero Support.

Crucial are thorough. The memory will be fully compatible.
If the Installer "sees" only 256 MB remove one of the memory sticks during installation.

After installation, the memory can be replaced. No further action will be necessary.

    Hello

I do not understand what you're trying to ask, but you can do it safely which, according to me, tell me "cloning of the game disc.
This can be done by downloading the software on http://www.slysoft.com/en/clonecd.html and through the step by step instructions to create a separate with the game on this drive.
Here is a text on the Web site that indicates what the software:
CloneCD works with may different formats, including ISO and UDF files and copy CD/DVD with the new SafeDisc 3 copy protection system. CloneCD allows to create 1:1 copies of your valuable original discs. Your copy-protected music CD should not play in your car stereo, the backup created by CloneCD will.

  • DVD showing "Temporary burn folder" instead of a real folder in Windows 7

I burned a DVD using CDBurnerXP, which contains four files in the root (and an another subfolder within one of them). The disc contains mostly JPGs... disk size approximately 2.8 GB. The DVD checked properly.

The last folder in the root called 'Tim' but show in Explorer as "temporary burn folder.

I opened the disc with IsoBuster and can see the ISO, Joliet & UDF systems all with the correct name of the file. This can also be checked with a disk editor.

Open the disc in Windows XP SP3 also reads the correct name. So why the Windows 7 Explorer is rename my folder?

As my last post stated, I already tried all these things!

    Hello

I want to know how can I do a UDF image file write protected by going to advanced settings of file permission settings.

    How can I do?

This effect is to protect the files of a UDF protected writable and read-only as an Iso format.

If it is not possible, then is there a specialized software which can make it easier to cross-platform?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

    Hello

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Answers.

Cannot add ISO files with any password based - no software what kind of security there is favourable. Anyway, here is the procedure to protect the file with the permissions of files:

Go to the properties of the ISO file. Go to the Security tab, and then click Advanced. In the Advanced Security dialog box, on the permissions tab, click the user name you want to block access to the file, and then click on change permissions. Yet once, a dialog box opens. Select the user name-> click on change. In the dialog box, tick / a tick deny full control. Click Ok-> click Ok-> click Ok-> click Ok. The file is now more secure.

Remember, file protection only works in NTFS file system. It will not work in FAT32 (most USB flash storage media is delivered with this file system only)
