  After becoming certified VCP5-DVC, I understand that they expire a lot like my Cisco certifications, but within a period of two years instead of three. During these two years I'll be able to sit new exams outside version 5.x (e.g. 6.x) and pay only the cost of the exam? Or I'll be required to pay for more training each major revision?

  I have installed 11.1.1.6 jdeveloper and open a custom composite created using the utility of the IOM. When I opened that in jdeveloper, only the source tabs and history are displayed. Graphical representation where change us the workflow is not displayed. Please help me.

  It seems that the composite SOA is not installed in your Jdeveloper.

  Just install the composite and you will be through.

  Make sure of course composite should be 11.1.1.6 as your Jdeveloper is 11.1.1.6 version.

• Class VCP and the issue of Certification

  I want to just make sure I read it correctly.

  You must take a VMware class if you want to get the VCP certification?

  If this is the case, seems to be more than a bit of a scam to me. Use VMware for four years in a company and the looks of easy test after that much experience.

  Having to pay a lot of money for a class on what I already know...

  You are right. It is mandatory to follow the official VMware courses and pass the examination to be a PCV. Practical experience is strongly recommended to help you pass the exam and you can go to take the exam without taking the course, but even if you pass the exam, you will be officially certified until what the official course.

  I guess they do it to enhance the VCP. They are also trying very hard to prevent people from taking brain dump to pass the exam.

  I have played with the MOS certification label and could not find what I'm looking for. Maybe I use bad options...
  
  I'm trying to find what are prerequisites them for Windows server 2003 32-bit with IE8 and Windows XP Pro 32-bit with IE8 to acccess 11.5.10.2.
  I found everything for Windows 7 and IE8, but I don't seem to be able to find the information for Win 2003/Win XP.
  
  Anyone could refer to a document?

  In August 2008, I have passed the Tests of Certification DBA 2 but in the context of the reception of the certificate of the OCP, I had to take a course more. Well, I never found a moment to be able to follow the course to receive the credentials of the OCP. I was wondering if I can still take one of approved courses and receive credentials of OCP always. If so, I will consider this fall.
  
  I have the credentials of the OCA, when I passed the first test. A few months later, I got the 2nd test. I just never found the time to take the class, so, I hope that I can still make and receive credentials.

  You can choose a course off course list for 10 g OCP DBA... If these become rare a 11 g DBA equivalent may be accepted in the place... check it first if you think you have special case (but not vice versa for those seeking 11 g OCP DBA, a course of 10 g would not happen).

  You have until the expiry of the certification to submit a course and get it checked.

  I have Jdeveloper 11 g installed. (version 11.1.1.2)
  
  When I start the weblogic Server integrated, I get following error.

  I have set up JAVA_HOME in my environment variable C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdev_11gR1\jdk160_14_R27.6.5-32 still getting the same error.
  
  
  You see in above error he keeps referring to the C:\Oracle\Middleware11.1.1.2.0\jdk160_14_R27.6.5-32 . (JAVA_HOME) ........ But the fact is that I don't have a directory of C:\Oracle\Middleware11.1.1.2.0\ more. That was old directory before I reinstalled the Jdeveloper 11 g (which means, I tried to reinstall Jdeveloper with different oracle middleware)

  Hello

  Application data folder would probably be the hidden folder. In windows Explorer, go to tools-> Folder Options and in the view tab, select the hidden files and folders option. You would be able to see the Application Data folder after that.

  After my tests in SQL Developer 4.1.2 the question seems to be, that say you, trying to open any file (I tried sql, xml, and pkb types) by drag-and - drop from Explorer Windows to a publisher of target opened on a XML file with a symbol of hash somewhere in the specification of the file it is.

  First of all, as a solution, I thought that I could recommend that you drag-and - drop since our view > files browser rather than Windows Explorer.  Which avoids the question and even you will descend on the Start Page tab, any worksheet or another editor must be opened before hand. However, there is a completely different problem with that: try to close the last tab of the XML Editor open blocking the entirety of the product.

  As you do not declare it against a release of the Early Adopter, where our team connect the bug, the standard procedure is so that you can open a service request with the support of the Oracle. My research did not turn any latest bug as this connected against SQL Developer or JDeveloper.

  Edit: In fact, just double click instead of using drag-and - drop from view > files avoids questions, name incorrect both hang at the end.

  I create a security server to test some of the features of the Horizon. My question is about the certificates. I want to keep it as secure as possible. If I have the name of the Security server different from the external URL will this cause issues with certification? So my server would be say S132985SV1 and my external URL is access.amazingcompany.com. View would be ok with a different external certificate name (the name on the certificate would be the URL that would be different for the name of the physical server). Or will I have to the name of the Security Server similar to my external URL 'access.amazingcompany.com' for the certificate works properly?

  It is a very common configuration.

  The idea here is that the external name is the one with the certificate. This way the View Client can validate as being approved.

  In this case, you create a regular certificate issued for the external name and add short security server and the full DNS name for the same certificate San (Subject Alternative Name).

  In short, a common name for the external name certificate and adds the Security server to the SAN certificate fields.

  What paths of JDeveloper certification are available? Admittedly, I am a total newbie, but from my previous experience, certifications are an excellent way to accelerate expertise. Currently, I'm studying Java and JDeveloper as a way to reorganize my technical skill set. After having been certified Oracle Forms 9i, 9i and 6, I can say I knew that some of the more obscure features subsequently to complete a certificate.

  We have instances both R12 and 11i where I work, so if there is a path that is well suited for R12, I would certainly be interested.

  What about my training, I am a consultant technical-functional which has extensive experience in Oracle BOM, MFG, WIP and my experience of goes back to 10.7 NCA. As for my current position, I am the wire of time and money.

  With this in mind, any suggestions you have would be appreciated.

• JDeveloper necessarily connection issue

  When you try to connect, or to create the connection to Perforce 11.1.1.7.1 I am unable to have the system auto populate the client using JDeveloper Studio fall down and if I manually enter the information I am presented with the following error:

  Necessarily the server does not recognize the client

  Connection test failed.

  I use the Perforce Extension of support for Perforce version 11.1.1.7.40.65.57.5 Version. The Perforce version I use is P4D 2010.2

  I was just able to understand the problem. When you create the connection it creates an xml file in the folder o.jdeveloper.perforce with login information and this file has not been created. I opened the application with a high count, and the connection has been established. I then copied the xml file in the folder in my normal account and it worked. Problem has been resolved.
