issue of digital painting

Make a comic. When you perform a digital painting, why people color all in blue before colouring with other colors?

This is a pencil sketch technique used by the designers of old school comics.  It is called "no photo" or "no-repro" blue.

Blue non-photo is a particular shade of Blue , which can not be detected by the cameras of graphic arts. This allows layout editors to write notes to the printer on the print flat (the image that must be photographed and sent to print) which will not show in the final form. More than this, it allows the artists to sketch lines without having to erase after inking.

You wouldn't think this would allow digital, but this explains: http://comicsaregreat.com/video-making-non-photo-blue-pencils-in-photoshop

It is one of the Brush tool presets in Photoshop

    Hi folk. Do a tributary video for Edgar Degas the Impressionist French famous for his paintings on the dance of Ballet and ballerinas. Using the EI CS6 version. In my video, I would like to show the shape of our culture, Bharatanatya dance (Am an Indian and this dance movement is a form of classical dance of the India), whose the video resembles impressions, inspired by the style of Degas print.

    So please help me with the technique of making of the video in a print effect or a digital painting, it will be very useful if you analyze the works and style of Degas paintings and suggest a way to make the video very similar to this style. If there are no plugins or preset for this, please give the link.

    Thanks in advance Alif Ashraf

    I think the best way to accomplish what you want to do is take each picture that you want to apply the effect to and open the video in Photoshop. You may need to transcode the footage first a Photoshop format will accept.

    Inside of Photoshop you would then select the video layer in the layers panel and convert the video to a smart object and apply a combination of artistic effects and correction of color, then use file > export > render the video and choose a codec of good production so that you can still process the video in Premiere Pro or After Effects. You should be able to get fairly decent results.

    You can start here: How to turn a photo into a painting in Adobe Photoshop | Tutorials Photoshop Adobe CC

    This will give you the basics. Whatever you do to a still image can be done in the video if you convert the video into a dynamic object. This will give you more options than you can get in AE without buying third-party plug-ins 3. The visit will be enough long so make sure you pre edit your shots if you don't pass any fiddling more time and rendering you need to.

  • empty fields of digital painting

    Hello

    I am creating a table digital indicator that contains blank fields for all the odd index. For example, (i = 1, 3, 5, etc...) Currently, I have a case structure to determine if the index is odd or even. For a same index, I pass the appropriate values in the function "insert table". For the odd index, I'm not sure what to plug into the 'new items/sub-table"Connector component to generate a value not intialized. Right now I'm wiring the constant infinite to use as an example. Ideally, I want the empty field. Thanks for the help!

    A digital cannot be empty.

    If it's just an indicator, you would simply substitute one string instead. It is possible to look the same. Here's a code option.

    Of course, if half of the elements are still the same (empty), it does provide all useful information to the operator. You can view both the items even without gaps. This saves you space in the public Service.

  • Issue of bottom paint for horizontal scrolling

    Hello

    I have a HorizontalFieldManager with a gradient background which I've updated to enable horizontal scrolling. Scrolling works well, but the gradient background is not painted when scrolling to the right. Using trial and error "getHorizontalScroll()" to calculate and offset has not yet failed.

    The original code is lower for horizontal management.

    ...
        hm = new HorizontalFieldManager(hmStyle) {
          protected void paint (Graphics g) {
            g.clear();
            g.setBackgroundColor(bgColor);
            int[] xInds = new int[]{0, 0,getExtent().width, getExtent().width};
            int[] yInds = new int[]{0, getExtent().height, getExtent().height,0};

            final int[] cols = new int[]{bgColor, gradientColor, gradientColor, bgColor};

            g.drawShadedFilledPath(xInds, yInds, null, cols, null);
            super.paint(g);
          }
          protected void onFocus(int arg0) {
            super.onFocus(arg0);
            getScreen().invalidate();
          }
        };
    ...

    I know I'm probably not set up the xInds properly to compensate for offset from horizontal scrolling, but it's not obvious to me how to set up the offsets correctly. Can anyone offer a suggestion to troubleshoot? If not, is there a reference to certain documents which provides more detail than the docs of java on the functioning of the 'drawShadedFilledPath' and the logic of ScrollBar?

    Thanks in advance!

    int xstart = getHorizontalScroll();
    int xend = xstart + getVisibleWidth() - 1; // getWidth() is also good
    int[] xInds = new int[]{xstart, xstart, xend, xend};

    When you add the PLS_INTEGERs 2, the result is a PLS_INTEGER.  The amount you're trying to do is greater than the maximum value that can contain a PLS_INTEGER, that's why you get the error.

    If you change the assignment statement to

    n: = CAST (p1 AS NUMBER) + p2;

    you will not get this error.

    If you suspect that you will get anywhere near the limit, you should not use PLS_INTEGERs.

  • Issue of digital switchover

    If my site is everything to lose power then I perform a failover, and then stop the primary old for awhile and then catch up on balls later? So, for example, if I finished the siwtchover and then stop and power returned 3 days later I can use raise the old primary as the day before and wait for newspapers to catch up?

    If Yes, in theory can't I just do another pass after that that they sync?

    Hello

    If you have a version of database Oracle, this passage to support.
    So yes you can make a permutation, perform cutting current (or other maintenance on the primary server), and then after sync 2 databases, to make another passage to return to the normal state.

    Next time please give your operating system and version number of Oracle, it is easier for us.
    And thanks to helpful/answered question mark.

  • Laser digital lock with Labview FPGA?

    Hello

    Sorry to bother if you are not interested in this issue of digital signal processing. We are looking for a possible digital solutions to our problem locked frequency cavity closed-loop laser (see attached PDF file for more details).  The goal is to flatten the PZTs transfer function (cancel the resonances and anti-resonances and their phase shift matching) in the frequency domain, in addition to the normal PID control.  Input/output necessary voltage signals are small (we have our own amplifiers high power for the PZTs), and their bandwidth must be at least of 50 kHz (100 kHz would be optimal).

    Among various OR hardware/software (DSP, FPGA, cRIO etc.), would anyone recommend a cost-effective solution for rapid prototyping?

    Thank you!

    I would like to look at the FPGA PXI cards nor 7854r.  I rate of 750 kHz, 1 MHz AO.  According to the involved treatment, you might expect between 200 and 750 kHz closed control loop.  If the treatment is very intense, it's probably something less than 200 kHz.

    That said, the key to these performance levels is not trivial and great care and attention to detail must be used in the coding of the FPGA.

    Good luck

    2. at position 01:09, the narrator says that digital matte paintings were based CG. What it means exactly here? I know that a matte digital painting is one that has been painted with Photoshop etc. on a tablet or computer by an artist, but what is a CG based paint mate and and how is it different from the traditional painted matte paint digital artist regular computer?

    Thank you!

    1. the Narrator mentions digital matte paintings 2.5 D 0.53 position. I can't get a simple answer online for what is the definition of this term.

    There is none. Stacking layers and using Parallax to the use of map projection and projection techniques of painting, but also things such as the fields of height to generate the depth of the 2D images to use true 3D rendering items in a native 3D space, this can include almost anything. It's a buzz word in fashion that covers all the tools and techniques.

    Ditto - they could have made on for example the rocks and trees as different elements and their slapped together in a 2D, with version program more advanced that it is again using several passages to the fire of the normal information or the geometry of depth to enable dynamic turn in 2.5 D respective help plug-ins and programs. For AE once there was a plugin called normality which has essentially done this.

  • Painting in photoshop

    I'm a bit new to photoshop so sorry if it's confusing.

    I was watching a video tutorial on digital painting in photoshop and I'm confused about something. When the instructor is about to add highlights or shadows in an area that already has a flat color set, it selects the flat area with the lasso too. Then he did something to erase the "mobile dash", but is still able to paint only in the originally selected area with the Brush tool. What does do to erase the "ants", but maintain the selection? Hope that isn't too complicated.

    Thank you.

    Probably, he presses Cmd + H.

    Press again to display the selection border.
