Xperia U of ROOTING

Hi guys

I'm new here. just got my first Sony/Android mobile phone yesterday. I've read many threads on phone rooting android and other things, but still have questions. I hope someone here can help me out.

1. I removed all apps like mcafee, desktop, etc. without rooting my phone. It works pretty smoothily to me now. so I don't know if rooting it would run even faster. Although knowing that there are still full of crap apps out there is really boring. so is it really beneficial to rooting the phone?

2. If I root my phone, I would still be able to update ICS in September? or would he never officially updated?

3. the build number is 6.0.b.1.564. I couldn't find the way to rooting it any where in the forum or on youtube. Could someone help me please?

I really don't know a lot about android.

Thank you in advance!

You're obviously a beginner with android, so I suggest that you wait with rooting your phone.
Rooting itself not speed your phone, as well as for the moment, you can only be rooted if you unlock your bootloader of xperia. You can find info about it by Googling it.

Once you unlock your bootloader, you can Flash a new kernel above that will help with your phone speeing and who can be preroote, so you can delete anything you don't want or need on the subject.
But, this phone runs really smooth and I see no reason to do it again.
If you unlock your bootloader, you lose your warranty and will not be able to make official updates until you it block again.
If you are really annoyed to see all of the icons that you don't need, try to install another launcher and hide the apps, you do not use.
Not root your phone just because you read that everything else does. In time, you will learn more about your phone, and then you can make a decision on this matter.

I tried the amor├ºage using ROM manager, but nothing. Then I installed CMW using X-pieces app-still nothing. Tried to start then spamming Volume down and upward, and then tried the same thing with the back, menu, home buttons.  Clearly, it does not work.  Any suggestions?

  • Confusion on the bootloader and root Xperia Ray

Hi.Im using Xperia Ray with ICS 4.0.4
But I have a few questions that I got confused

    1. What is the difference between the root and the locked bootloader?
    2. How do I know if the bootloader of my phone is locked or unlocked?

    3. If I want to overclock my phone or the Flash custom rom, am I just that root my phone or I need to unlock my bootloader as well?

    Thank you!

    (1) the bootloader is a small piece of code that is used to load an operating system

    While

Root is the access to the base of the system files. It is a procedure that grants you admin/root on our mobile access.

After rooting, you can change any file inside your operating system

To protect the Android operating system against corruption, it is read-only, but after rooting, it becomes writable as well

    (2) (2) connecter connect to companion pc, then try to update

If the pc companion shows that the software is average updated the bootloader is unlocked

Even stock track ID stop after the unlocking of the boot

    (3) to flash rom custom, you must unlock the trunk, but just to overclock, you could do with the root so

Although custom cores are best suited for overclocking

  • Rooting Xperia T without new ROM.

I want to my Xperia T 'root' so that I can install firewall Avast as superuser.

The firewall allows me to decide what Apps get to use the WiFi, 3G and Roaming, something that should be possible as standard IMHO.

It also seems that you cannot perform a full backup without having root access.

However the rooting is fairly simple to do on my Galaxy Tablet without having to install a custom ROM.

Reading the forums I see that I need first to unlock the bootloader which seems simple enough. Although it is recommended that you save your first Rom? -illogical that you need unlocked and rooted for save the Rom in the first place.

It is also stated that you can not root the phone without having to install a custom Rom - which is not what I want to do.

So my question is: the Xperia T can be unlocked and rooted without having to install a custom ROM?

    Thank you

Hi all, finally, I was able to root the phone by using a different method. I tried almost all methods, I could find on the net, but nothing has worked. I did not put the phone to ICS. I wanted to root the phone as it is. After days of research, I came across a method to unlock the boot loader and root the phone with Fastboot. I was able to root the phone using the kernel appropriate using this fastboot flash boot 3_184_kernel.elfcommand file. It was quick easy. Thought that someone will find it useful. Please follow the link and find the tools and the guide I used. Thank you.
