Issues of the removal tool
I just spent some time using the spot removal tool to correct some dust that creeped out in my camera while taking some portraits the other day. When I had finished, the corrections were gone. This is the first time I've used this tool. I click on the tool, make the corrections and then click on it again so I can move to the next photo. Instructions for use it do not specify anything else. What I am doing wrong?
Hi lesliek,
Please see below for the correct workflow tutorial.

LR 5 questions with the help of sorting and spot removal tool
LR 5... Same problems with the sorting, WinX 64... crashes. Delay of about 5 seconds to select a thumbnail, if I click on one and it lag I can fly over another and he will choose the other. He refuses to move files selected at least 3 attempts. However, it doesn't seem to work better work out thumbnails of Strip below. When it starts acting up a restart does not help. Also there is a huge gap and the jumpy mouse pointer when you use the removal tool / clone spot.
I only LR open so the computer overload is not the issue. I Suite OnOne 7 also and ANDLr, also many other programs open and this program works perfectly.
I have not had any problems with the LR 4 but LR 5 is a great advertisement of NOT getting a new version until the bugs are removed. It drives me crazy, so go back to LR 4. The tools in LR 5 but not the accidents of love. These are the few that I've met so am not treats using the version 5 There is no update as of July 18, 2013 so any suggestions using LR 4 or go for a long walk until these issues are addressed? I'm annoyed say the least to upgrade and then get grounded when I have a load of work that is time based!

Problem with the Spot Removal Tool
The last several times I tried to use the removal tool the place, he did not "heal" the area that I asked for it to heal. He heals an area adjacent to the area I want to heal.
Any thoughts on the opportunity, it's a LR bug or something is happening with my Macbook? I would like to address...
Note that I ALSO encounter this problem with the adjustment Brush tool.
(I know I can do this sort of editing in PSCC but for simple stuff like this, I usually use LRCC)
Thanks for your help! LJB.
IMAGE: miniature horse headshot for a friend
screenshot 1: weird grass, I would like to change.
screenshot 2: the area I have hi-limited with spot Healing Brush (it's messy but the best I could do while also doing a screen shot and not to release the spot removal tool)
Screenshot 3: the pin code of the area of selection is completely in the wrong place and my strange blade of grass is still there.
Change the Clone in the Heal and vice versa does not move existing pine. You will have to redo the brush stroke after changing between Clone and Heal.

Keyboard shortcut for the Spot removal tool
With my previous version of LR (2.1), I was able to turn the spot removal tool using "N" on the keyboard. With 3.3 that strikes "N" while the removal tool the cash is active has sent me to the library which I think is a form of disabling, but not the one I'm used to.
Changed the shortcut for this tool?

Malicious software removal tool x 64
In the past, I once let the windows install update of this program. Unaware of the headaches he did me after having to restart my computer. The program of the removal tool took just my computer and when he did 'searching for issues', I was then asked if I wanted these issues resovled I had to pay! Well, it would be very useful that in the future all understand that little information in the notes without that person agrees to this download. Personally, I found it is nothing more than an inexpensive way to sneak something into his computer and not fully disclose all the details on this product! At least give the user a choice to cancel the program if he or she choose to download this program. I spent that I tried to do and it wouldn't let me, it just ran its course and I really thought that I had a problem, when in fact I did not!

Lightroom 5 Spot Removal Tool lag and is not usable (Temp workaround?)
Lightroom 5 Spot Removal Tool lag and is not usable. The Spot removal tool is really quite critical to usability and workflow for Lightroom 5. Check the other tools beside the Spot removal tool, it seems that the fix red eye tool is also affected. It might have something to do with the Version of process? I noticed when working with some old images (using the 2010 process Version) files, the Spot removal tool worked as previously experienced. Current images that have been "upgraded" in the new Version of process (2012) are now unable to use the place because of its response removal tool very laggy and sporadic. I've never known a problem like this with Lightroom (LR since LR2 user). Mac OSX 10.7.5, i7 to 3.4 GHz, 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
I also noticed this reprocessing that an image can return to the removal tool again 'useful' Spot (back from 2012 to 2010, then return in 2012). Does not always work and isn't always 'stick', such as closing and reopenling LR reinitiates usually lag Spot Removal Tool.
I saw someone talking about the Version of process as a potential culprit, nor I have seen no reliable workaround solution. An image (or a set of images) reprocessing at least works for me for a while, but it would be nice to not have continue reprocessing of images every time I open / use Lightroom 5.
LR5 is great and all I need for most of my images. Unfortunately for me, however, this ease of use also requires features without hindrance of the Spot removal tool.
For some reason, it is clear that not everyone is experiencing such massive slow / bottleneck when it comes to the Spot removal tool. If all users have experienced this problem at this level, they would have been calling for Adobe to address and remedy immediately.
Respectfully, Sean, make a suggestion like that proves that you do not know / have not experienced this problem / don't understand gravity on which this issue may affect workflows; simply "turn off lens correction and noise reduction" is certainly not a fix. If the 16 GB of RAM does not resolve the problem, you really think simply turning off the noise reduction will be? And as Bert Nase pointed out, to make that large volumes of images increases workflow in a program designed to streamline the workflow for large volumes of images.
1 - one solution is to change the version of process in your first picture (2003-2010), then copy - paste who develop the setting for the rest of your images. This will get all your images at the point in your workflow where you can use the tool to delete Spot on each image. After spotting, convert each image back to the current version of the process (2012) then re - perform tasks that conversion lost.
2 - The presets is a workaround of options, but you will need at least two of them adapted to your stream of work.
3. change your import settings to an earlier Version of the process is an option, and then complete Spot Removal on each photo, then update the process Version on one and copy/paste for the rest, then re - perform for each picture lost during conversion tasks and continue your workflow from there.
Readers of this thread can use the link above, but it may present its own problems, too. As mentioned, switching back-and-forth between Versions of process can remove some of your spots already corrected and you will need to re - correct. Worse, a prompt window asking for the creation of a virtual copy or evidence will begin sometimes arise... closing the window, by clicking 'Cancel' or by choosing another option in the context menu didn't "remember" and the window opens upward with any other "click" on the image. Lightroom should be stopped and the computer restarted before the question to reset.
Yes, it's very frustrating and time consuming to say the least. So, unfortunately there no solution yet to workaround. I hope that this issue will be addressed and corrected in the next release of 5.2 (doubtful) or the Cloud of Photoshop + Lightroom version.

Hello
I am migrating the database of a domain to another controller and when I try to start the listener on the node migrated, I get the message below.
He said that the listener is started but its unable to authentcate the user. Is this a problem?
LSNRCTL > start
AMT-01106: listener using the name listener fleet has already begun
LSNRCTL > status
Connection to (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP (PORT = 1540))(HOST=rt334)))
AMT-01189: the listener could not authenticate the user
Thank you
- AMT-01189: the listener could not authenticate the user
- Cause: The user attempted to issue a privileged administrative command, but could not be authenticated by the receiver by using the local operating system authentication mechanism. This can occur due to one of the following reasons:
1. the user runs a version of LSNRCTL, which is lower than the version of the listener.
2. the user is trying to administer the listener to a remote node.
3. the auditor could not get the necessary system resources to perform the authentication.
4. the local network connection between the listener and LSNRCTL was interrupted unexpectedly during the exchange of authentication messages, for example if program suddenly abandoned LSNRCTL.
5. the communication between the listener and LSNRCTL is be intercepted by a malicious user.
6. the software that the user is running does not follow the authentication protocol, which indicates a malicious user.
-
Action: Make sure that administrative commands are issued using the LSNRCTL tool, which is a version equal or greater than the version of the listener, and the tool and the listener running on the same node. You can issue the VERSION command to determine the version of the listener. If a malicious user is suspected, use the information provided in the listener log file to determine the source and nature of the requests. Turn on the earpiece of tracing for more information. If the error persists, contact Oracle Support Services.

Unable to connect to the internet after the removal of system tool virus
A computer running Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002, Service Pack 3 has got a virus System Tool which I believe I deleted using the key of activation and then run Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. On reboot, the system tool icon was still in the system tray, so I ran Norton 360 to remove unwanted registry files. He got rid of the icon in the system tray. I also then removed the Malwarebytes software. Please note that, while I was removing the virus, I was able to connect to AOL so that in mode safe mode with networking. Finally, who has stopped working. The Malwarebytes software has been downloaded on the infected computer with a flash drive from a computer with working internet.
I cannot now connect to the internet with Internet Explorer 8 or AOL (under standard or secure modes). When you are trying to connect with IE8, the message reads 'Internet Explorer cannot display the web page' and when I run the diagnostic tests, it indicates there is a problem with the modem and/or router. These devices are, however, both the work that there are other computers connected to them and they work.
I tried Microsoft solutions are answers to a similar question. Unfortunately, none of them worked in my situation. They have been in accordance with the following:
No doubt...
What happens when you try to connect to the Internet?
What is your version of XP, the version of Service Pack and IE?
What method did you relieve your system of affection 'Antivir Solution Pro' (how confident you are that you got rid of him)?
Generally, any part of this procedure is necessary after removing Antivir Solution Pro (a well documented removal procedure would have included the steps to cancel Internet connectivity issues). I would get my infected system and try the procedure you used to see how it works.
If, when you try to connect with Internet Explorer, you see something like:
Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage
The most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The Web site encounters problems.
There could be a typing error in the address. We will check your network connection properties.
Some malware will alter these settings and your anti malware software can't tell if you have changed the malware changed them or so, after removal of infections, it will leave just the settings as he finds them (it is usually a good thing), but can leave your Internet disabled in certain situations.
Click Start, run and enter in the box:Inetcpl.cpl
Click OK to start the network settings of Internet control panel applet properties, connections.
Or, in Internet Explorer click on tools, Options, connections, LAN settings.
These settings control your Internet access for all browsers.
On most environments, not independent, there will be check automatically detect settings and the other boxes are (as Proxy Server) is disabled.
Automatically detect the setting checked =
Use the automatic configuration script = unchecked
Use a proxy server for your LAN = not checkedMake changes, then click OK, OK to save the settings.
Check your settings for how your network adapter gets its IP and DNS settings. On most home systems, these parameters must be defined for the system will get the settings automatically.
If you have another system on your network that works, you can compare these settings with the settings of the system which is not a work and make adjustments.
Click Start, settings, Control Panel, network connections, and then select your current network connection.
On the general tab, click Properties.
In the drop down in the Middle, find and highlight the selection of Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties.
In the Internet Protocol Properties window, the usual selections are to get the IP and DNS settings automatically. Select the following two options:
Obtain an IP address automatically
Get a DNS server address automatically
The rest of the options on the screen should then be grayed out/not available.
Make changes, then click OK, OK to save the settings.
Restart your computer and test your connection.
Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
Also, I typed cmd in the start run box and the command-line entered ipconfig enough and ipconfig/renew. This is also not rectify the situation.
For your assistance, the following is a copy of a part of the file that I thought that may be applicable after that I typed in miscinfo32 in start, run box:

The removal of the virus seems to have taken some required system files. See if the System File Checker helps. Click Start > run and enter in the field open.
sfc/scannow
Press ENTER. The System File Checker must detect the missing necessary files and put back them. If this does not work, use a system restore point from before you were infected. If this does not work, get out of your XP installation diskettes.
