It cannot be delete because the disk is write protected.

When I want to delete a folder on drive c, then following the message show:
It cannot be delete because the disk is write protected.
Please help me

These protections are put in place so that you do not delete the files or folders that have the need by other programs.

If you know that you can remove there is a program called Killbox JUST BE VERY CAREFUL what you DELETE! Please rate me upward if you find my post helpful. Thank you!

    anydody can help me?

    Hi Saleh2506,

You can try and remove the disc, remove the write protection (by reversing a tab on the disk), and then try again.

If you do not have the valve on the USB, try the following steps to resolve the problem:

    1. Click Start , type regedit.exe and press ENTER.

    2. navigate to the following location:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrrentControlSet\Control

    3. control with the right mouse button and select new and key.

    4. call it as StorageDevicePolicies.

    5. click on StorageDevicePolicies and on the right pan right click and select new > DWORD and name it as WriteProtect.

6 double-click it and set its value to 0.

This will disable the write protection on USB/flash drives.

Restart your computer and check to see if that fixes the problem.

  • Cannot be saved because the disk is full. 144 GB of free

When I try to record a 3 GB Tiff file in Photoshop, I get the following error...

"Cannot save... because the disk is full."

I have 144 GB of free space on the disk, I record and 280 GB of free disk to work.

Try to save as a psb instead of a psd file. If I remember a psd file only supports up to 2GB.

If the names of the formats don't make sense I apologize, chances are I will have a PET of brain.

  • Why Photoshop 7 "cannot save as because the disk is full"?

Windows 8 / Photoshop 7. I spent more than $300 to solve this problem... repairs and upgrade 16 GB of RAM. Memory usage has changed to 84%. The C; / drive is 10% used, the D: / drive is 25% used. . I still get the warning message "cannot save (file) as because the disk is full.

These older versions cannot process more than 512 GB hard drives. You need to partition your disks.

I have a micro card.  I used to put photo files.  Today I'm trying to remove them and I get a message that the card is write protected.  How can I disable this?

I guess you put the micro card in full-size SD card reader? Look on the side of the SD card. There is a small switch that is write protected. Put it to the other position.

    Hi kyflyer78,

We recommend to remove the temporary files in safe mode and check the result.

  • Elements 9 does not open "because the disk is not available.

    Hi all

I have PSE 9 on my Mac for 18 months without any problem.

Recently, I upgraded the boot to a larger drive that the original was running out of space. I used a standard drive, cloning tool, and all was well.

Except... PSE now says he "cannot open file because the disk is not available" follow-up by "cannot initialize because the disk is not available.

I uninstalled PSE and downloaded a new copy, perhaps thinking that the original has been somewhat altered by cloning. Always does the same thing.

I have repaired permissions and restarted but still does the same thing.

    Frankly I'm perplexed.

Anyone got any ideas? It does not even tell which disc he thinks is not available!

Then, the conflict is with something in your user account and find what could be a lengthy process. Try to restart once more the Editor while pressing command-shift-option, keeping the keys down until you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do. This almost always solves this problem; I don't know why it is not to help you. Using 10.7?

  • Try to reformat the drive - disk is write protected

    Hello

I'm trying to reformat an audio CD. Is this possible? When I go to my computer, select the D: drive, and then click format, the format window opens. When I click Start, it says that the disk is write protected. Is there a way to change this? I can burn DVDs and CDs without problem, as well as read them.

I am running Windows Home Premium 64-bit with a read/write DVD super multi drive.

OEM is the entry door. I've updated all my drivers, scanned my system for viruses using Norton Internet Security, also conducted an analysis of rootkit the gum power of Norton. Nothing found. SFC has not found any problem.

Could someone please help me with this?

    Thank you!

    Mithrandir

    # You can not format/re-use any CD/DVD other rewritable those once the session is closed - and with an audio CD you can play in a CD player - it is closed, no doubt.

  • System Restore error: "the changes to the G: drive after this point cannot be reversed, because the drive has been either excluded from monitoring system restore or has been disabled or deleted.»

I had some problems with my computer recently I knew could be solved with the system restore.  Then I went into system restore and went to a restore point that was a few weeks back.  After I clicked on it and pressing the ok button, the following message appeared: "the changes made to the G: drive after this point cannot be reversed, because the drive has been either excluded from monitoring system restore or has been disabled or deleted.»  I let it continue and do the restore.  My computer has rebooted and came up with an error in system restore that says restore failed.  It's the same thing with other restore points.  I don't know why I get this error because I not made any changes to this hard drive except for copy of a document word on him.  I thought that the System Restore monitors removable disks.  Anyone know what is happening here and how I can get the restoration of the system to operate without the mistakes to come?

I have Norton.  Disable the Tamper Protection works.  I also noticed that since the G: drive was a portable hard drive, System Restore wanted to exercise oversight.  He wants to monitor all hard drives.  Turn on external and portable hard disks prevents tracking system restore changes to the readers.  I don't think anyone would have the system restore review external drives anyway.  It is not necessary.
