It is a power problem, sort of. My laptop HPG71

does not recognize my power cord. He goes on to say that the computer is running on batteries, but it is constantly at 100% I ran diagnosis, I tried to restore points, etc..  Help.

Hello

First, stop the laptop, unplug the power adapter, remove the battery and then press and hold the power button for a minute.

Now, plug in the AC adapter without the battery inserted, start Notepad, open windows control panel, open Device Manager, expand the entry for the battery, on the right, click on and compatible Microsoft ACPI control method battery and select Uninstall - do uninstall not something else here.  When the uninstall is complete, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter, reinsert the battery and then start the PC on just the battery.  Windows will automatically reinstall the driver - leave Windows running for a few minutes. Judgment of the laptop again.  Now plug the power adapter (with the inserted battery always) and start the laptop to see if it helped the issue at all.

Kind regards

  • On the Satellite P30-131 power problem

I have a power problem and I tried the process of elimination, but could do with help, I gave as much detail as possible and appreciate any help or advice.

This started a few weeks ago and seems to be deteriorating slowly.
I turned on the laptop and all 3 lights before the main power on fully charged battery light and light green...

I started noticing a few times when my power cord is plugged into the laptop that, without warning, the laptop switches to the battery power and also turns off power light, battery light turns off too but which may or may not happen, in any case the laptop is still on but now running on battery.

I then out of the supply cable and reconnected it hoping that power is restored, but it has no effect, I have to close then low laptop unplug then Pug back in and I get all 3 lights and then I can start.
Now, when I boot it does not always solve the problem and I can finish on a few seconds of starting battery.

Its certainly not the battery because it has a new battery replaced 12 months however, its either the adapter or the connection inside the laptop that plugs into the adapter.

The reason I think it is perhaps one of them is when the laptop going to battery, lead that is always plugged into laptop, I moved, and this can cause the return of t lights and also the laptop back in, power once again, but if I let go then it goes to the battery again one the light turns off. I also took the battery out and kicked and the laptop works but has lost the power sometimes when I moved it turned off my tour so I'm sure that it is related to the lead, but do not know if its internal or external.

    Any help or advice appreciated

    Thank you

What kind of help did you expect exactly?

    > Its certainly not the battery as it was a new battery replaced 12 months however, its either the adapter or the connection inside the laptop that plugs into the adapter.

It seems you have tested everything that could be tested using common control procedures, I think that more is not possible
I can provide also a few suggestions and I m coming to the conclusion that neither electronic power supply is not ok or your power adapter.
But I would tend to the first; electronic power supply.

  • Does not begin with satellite C655-S5128 - power problem

My laptop won't turn once I do a shutdown of windows.

After it closes completely, when I try the power button nothing happens (or an led, or screen the wind. it does not start)

After I remove the power supply and the battery for a minute and put it back, when I try to turn it on - it begins.
I changed the RAM with good, same thing. I cleaned up the laptop and put the dough on the processor thermal quality.

The model is: Toshiba Satellite C655-S5128.
This thing happens because I cleaned up my laptop.
(I mention that I have clean for laptops all day, so I know how to do)

The unit doesn't power since clean you the laptop?
Hmm these sounds like something was wrong during the cleaning procedure.

I think you have a lot of experience in cleaning for laptop and you know how to do this, but obviously this time you made a mistake, sorry to say this.

In my opinion, the question certainly pertains so a hardware problem I put t know that you clean the device and what parts (next to the CPU) have been removed during this procedure, but without doubt one of these parts have been affected or don't function properly.

    Hello!

I don't understand if it's a hardware or software problem.

The problem: sometimes when the laptop starts up I see that it is running on battery power cord is plugged.
Solution: I need to disconnect, and then again once (sometimes several times) to see the icon "plugged in, load" once again.

  • Power problems

I try to solve the problem on a friends laptop - Pavilion dv7-1103ea.  It is sometimes said (well a few times) when he's working on it, it just stops and must be restarted.  When he first linked it round, of course, I went to the top and he immediately cut.  Turn it back on and started OK.  I hit the power wire and still once he died.  I thought I had found the problem.  But now I'm not completely sure.

Left plugged in while other problems, but keeping the eye on the power icon in the status bar.  Initially said plugged in and charging. He eventaully got 60% charged.  Checked an hour later and this time connected but saying does not support fees 32%.  an hour later; plugged in and and drop to 62%.  Waving the power cable no causen any problem related to the closure.  The only thing noticed was LED power light adjacent to the entrance of socket came out (but it came back)

Today. I got 80% but now saying plugged in, but do not load and up to 44% (and down) just removed power cord and then reintegrated and now load!  When charging, the battery indicator shows always not what; the indicator still maintained load.  I tried on different power plans

I suspect the problem of connection, and the only reason why it wouldn't start or stop, it was that the recesses was flat.  However I'm afraid that even if was not the sector was not be detected/used.  Appreciate the thoughts as to where the problem might lie.  I don't want to take the laptop goes to check the connection of entry if the problem seems to lie in the power circuits.

As an aside, my own laptop - HP NC6400 also indicates that it is connected but does not support. I did not pursue this more as alleged battery did his time.  but now, I was wondering if there is an underlying element of the question/common

I propose that the first thing to pick up on two laptops is a bad battery. They are old enough. The second thing to try on the dv7 would be a new power module. The power plug module would require opening to the top but no welding.

  • Dv7t-4000 power problems

I bought a dv7t-4000 in September, and so far I've been pretty happy with it. However, I had a lot of problems with smooth audio video-sounds would sometimes be looped for a few seconds and things would be long to load. Recently, I noticed that all the issues went away once I unplugged the AC adapter and started running on the battery. I looked at the three places where things could go wrong - the power grid that I plugged the power cord and the real internal components of the laptop. I tried to run the laptop in four different locations with the same result, as well as three different cords (120W and 90W, which should be supported by the dv7t, as far as the manual says). After testing both, I felt that the only option is the internal components. I checked the forums here and read this thread, who told me that this problem happened to other laptops, but I know for some that the power cable is not the issue, as says this solution. I have the latest video and audio drivers, as well as all updates of Windows/BIOS/material I can find. Could I possibly get a confirmation of what I think is wrong, or maybe other solutions short to order a new power connector and disassemble the laptop to jump in the spare room?

    Serial number CNF0341WKS

    Product number WV703AV

Pseudo-resurrect this thread in case where someone else happens to have this problem. After 3 separate the sets of repairs on one and a half months time, a replacement of the motherboard has finally solved the problem. It is a problem entirely based on the material, and cracking only open the laptop and reinstalling the card will fix it. Good luck to the other people in the case where this helps out you.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi aloum,.

    (a) what kind of mouse you are using?

    (b) the left button of the mouse seems to be stuck or it does not meet the click? This only happens with certain applications?

Step 1: Test the mouse on another computer or another mouse on the test computer

To determine whether the mouse or the computer is defective, follow these steps:

    1. test the mouse in question on a system that works, you know. If the problem appears to follow the mouse, you may need to return or replace the mouse.

2 test a mouse you know is working on the computer in question. If the problem seems to stay on the computer, then the problem is most likely related to the software.

In regard to the battery not holding charge

Battery problems are often associated with the battery itself. If you encounter this problem, contact your mobile PC manufacturer. If you purchased the battery separately from the notebook computer, contact the manufacturer of the battery.

    Hello

I have a desktop HP Pavilion 7865 has started to give me some power problems.  I followed the troubleshooting steps to

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/bph06788#n414

The first time it's happened that I noticed that the power light little would go as I connect the power cord to the back of the unit.  But the little green light and then returned.  After some tests, the power light remained on and I was able to turn on the pc.  However, it started again this morning so I finally took my monitor power cord and used this one to connect the power supply to the back of the computer and to a power outlet and it works.  I plug the pc power cord into the monitor and my monitor works too so I don't know if it is or is not the power cord, but I'll go out and get a new one and see if that solves all my problems.

However, my question is this... If the problem is with the power supply that I plug in can be replaced?  If so, it is something I can do myself or should I consider somewhere to do?  Also, if I need to replace the power supply and I can do it, how can I know what type of replacement power supply unit power I need to get and are there any other cables that I also need?

Thank you so much for all your help.

    Hi Vimalpal,

To provide the proper resolution, I would need more information on your side.

    1. What is the number of the model of the laptop?

    2. did you of recent changes on the computer before this problem?

    Method 1:
I suggest to run the troubleshooter and check if that helps.

Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows
    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/hardware_device_problems/en-us

    Method 2:

I suggest you run the disk check and check if it helps.

    Check a drive for errors

Important: when running chkdsk on the drive hard if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.

  • Problem with my Acer laptop does not connect to my home network.

    Hello

I had a problem with my laptop. The laptop does not connect to my home network.

I found the wireless network, but when I hit enter after entering the password (), suddenly a pop up come that said "Windows could not connect to the network". The laptop connects well with portable hotspot in my phone (3 G Tethering). But my phone (Samsung Galaxy Pocket) connects to the home network.

    My specs:

    Acer Aspire 4250 ongoing Windows 7 SP1.

Dlink DSL-2730u (secure wifi with WEP 128 bit key)

    Please solve my problem...

Original title: problems with my Acer laptop

Guess - encryption levels are the same. E.g. is your set of router that you use WEP only but your PC configured to use WPA only? http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-HK/Windows7/set-up-a-security-key-for-a-wireless-network

If this is the case try to configure WPA2 or WPA rather than fall to WEP.

Check all the other related settings as well. knowledge is the router using MAC filtering, are there available IP address so that it can allocate? (some routers are possible to limit the amount of IP address, they can allocate at one time).

Second, if it does not remove the encryption all and see if it connects then. JUST AS a TEST, do not leave it.
