Problem with my Acer laptop does not connect to my home network.

Hello

I had a problem with my laptop. The laptop does not connect to my home network.

I found the wireless network, but when I hit enter after entering the password (), suddenly a pop up come that said "Windows could not connect to the network". The laptop connects well with portable hotspot in my phone (3 G Tethering). But my phone (Samsung Galaxy Pocket) connects to the home network.

My specs:

Acer Aspire 4250 ongoing Windows 7 SP1.

Dlink DSL-2730u (secure wifi with WEP 128 bit key)

Please solve my problem...

Guess - encryption levels are the same. E.g. is your set of router that you use WEP only but your PC configured to use WPA only? http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-HK/Windows7/set-up-a-security-key-for-a-wireless-network

If this is the case try to configure WPA2 or WPA rather than fall to WEP.

Check all the other related settings as well. knowledge is the router using MAC filtering, are there available IP address so that it can allocate? (some routers are possible to limit the amount of IP address, they can allocate at one time).

Second, if it does not remove the encryption all and see if it connects then. JUST AS a TEST, do not leave it.

  • WiFi does not connect to the home network

IM currently problems with my wifi on my new z3 compact network.

My compact z3 is able to find the wifi network & shows an excellent signal, I get the password to try to connect but just z3 keeps alternating between safe, secured with wpa/wpa2 & getting ip address...

I tried to reset the router, phone that allowed me to use wifi, but a day later I'm back to the problem off z3 does not connect to wifi. All other devices connect without any problem at all.

Any help would be appreciated & ty in advance.

Do you know if there is no limit on the number of devices that you can connect to your ISP network and the internet? Also make sure that DHCP is enabled in your network and you do not have any MAC-filter in the network.
Alternatively, you can try to manually specify an IP address that can be used in your network in the phone. Tap and hold the network, select Modify network, then check Show advanced options and set a static address.

    Reema,

There are several solutions here and you have not specified what solution you have already tried and did not work. Check the posts here and specify what solutions did not work for your question.

Additionally, you mention that you tried "installation of the wireless network" in Safe Mode. This means it that you were able to connect mode without failure, but not in the Windows? If so, you should try a clean boot to identify the item or service responsible for the error:

  • CQ60-210US reformatted for Windows XP Prof, but it does not connect to the wireless network...

Long story short, I tried recently to "downgrade" my husband computer CQ60-210US laptop from Vista to XP.  I followed the very detailed guide posted here and everything seems to work great but my computer does NOT connect to my home network.  It comes as an available network, but when I try to connect it goes on to say that the network is no longer available - is yet to ask security key.  I tried to click on the connection to a neighbor to see what would happen and it seems to go further (it asks me the security key).  I can connect directly using the ethernet to the modem cable.

This laptop was initially working on my network wirelessly with Vista.  I use a CLEAR 4 G wireless modem.  The signal from the modem is good.

Can anyone help me identify the problem and propose a solution?  Everything else seems to work well.

    Thank you very much!

  • Hall 13: HP pavilion laptop does not connect to the printer HP envy range 7640

My laptop does not connect to my HP envy printer. It keeps saying the driver is not available or is it ready, but does not connect. I know the printer is working because I can print from my phone. Anyone know the driver I need to download or what to do?

    Ruizgeraldine

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about the problems with your Envy 7640 in Win10 printer and wanted to help.

The problem is that by default HP print drivers installed by the upgrade of Win10 often do not work.  I have two HP printers and neither one worked after the Win10 upgrade.  We also receive a lot of messages of other people with the same problems.

I linked the page drivers and software for the Win10 drivers for your printer: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-7640-e-all-in-one-printer-series/6617267/model/6617268#Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930C7

You must download and install the full feature software and drivers for the printer.

Then unplug the printer and install the software.

Do reconnect the printer until the installation program invited to do so.

Once the installation is complete, restart.

You should then be able to use your printer in Win10.

    Good luck

    Hello

    Maybe this can help.

These steps and tell us where is the breaking point.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

Make sure that if there is Wireless Utility a utility vendor is not running with the native Windows wireless utility.

    ----------------

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible set up the firewall correctly, otherwise totally uninstall and get rid of its remaining processes that permit the own local network traffic flow.

If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

    ---------------------------

Stack TCP/IP work should look like.

Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/status-NIC.jpg

Description is the data of the card making.

The physical address is MAC of the card number.

The xx must be a number between 0 and 255 (all xx even number).

YY should be between 0 and 255

ZZ should be between 0 and 255 (zz all the same number.)

The date of the lease must be valid at the present time.

    * Note 1. IP that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx isn't valid functional IP.

    * Note 2. There could be an IPv6 entries too. However, they are not functional for Internet or LAN traffic. They are necessary for Win 7 homegroup special configuration.

    ---------------------------------------------------

A message in the small window that says connected wireless doesn't means that you are really a valid functional connection.

Above everything is OK, you must be able to connect to the router.

Connection to the router means that you can enter the IP of the router base in an address bar in one go, being able to connect and configure the router menus see.

If it doesn't connect to the router, journal newspaper from any computer that can connect to the router wirelessly with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless SSID broadcast is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

Enable security wireless after you eat to make a functional connection.
