  I'm doing this for an engineering company. Dollar of big deals and large pages. The theory was that, as a designer, I could produce more nice and professional looking bid documents. However, in our business, submission content come many people in many departments, they're always at the last minute, and then they make changes more than once you have printed and assembled the document. So we had to give up the theory and return to Word, which everyone on their computers. It has never been enough conception of time for me to combine the entries and work in InDesign. And, in the end, the bid evaluators are inundated with paper of several bidders and don't care well designed hardware. They want to just pull the numbers. We continue to win deals with our Word documents.

  If you have the time, it's more satisfying to work in InDesign. However, you do want to start this until you have considerable experience InDesign. A new user of InDesign up against a deadline is a recipe for disaster.

  I recently started to use Indesign CS5 to design a piece of mail marketing which requires the fusion of data from Microsoft Excel.  With small spots up to 100 pieces, I don't have any problems.  However, I need to merge 2 000-5 000 items of data through Indesign on a daily basis and my lap top current was not able to manage the merger of more than 250 pieces at a time, and the merge process 250 takes 30-45 minutes if I have the chance and the software not crushed.

  To resolve this problem, I bought a desktop computer with a second generation processor Core i7 and 8 GB of memerory, thinking that would solve my problem.  I tried to merge the track 1,000 of data with this new computer, and I was forced to restart Adobe Indesign after 45 minutes of no results.  I then merged 500 pieces and the task was completed, but the process took less than 30 minutes.

  I need help with this problem because I can't find another software which can design my mail merge the way that Indesign can, however, the time it takes to merge large volumes of data is very frustrating because the software crash from time to time the after waiting a good 30-45 minutes to complete.

  I am building a form that will be used to provide large amounts of data in row. Only 1 or 2 columns per line, but potentially dozens or hundreds of lines.

  I was initially looking at using a tabular subform, but this feels like a method heavy since more than an insignificant number of lines.

  So now I'm wondering what are the solutions others have used?

  Theoretically, I could just provide a text box and get the user to paste in a list delimited by lines and use the background to interpret code on submit.

  Another method that I've been thinking is to get the user to save and download a CSV file that gets automatically imported by the form.

  Is there something else? If not, can someone give me any indication of which of the above would be easier to implement?

  First attempt to create a virtual machine that needs to access more than 2 TB of space.  We are trying to install a server of VMware 5.0.0 U1 executes a (R2 W2K8) guest OS on a data store that is to 11 in total size.  We want to allocate to the OS 1 TB and 8 TB of user data leaving 2 TB free for future use.  When I try to create the new virtual machine, it says that my limit on the guest operating system is 2 TB.  If have no problems to scale back to 1 TB, but how to allow the OS to see the other 8 TB of space (use this for applications and user data) Guest?  Any help is appreciated as this is our first attempt at a large (> 2 to) data store.

  My work team will start a large project, we will build a space for visitors to an event. We will need several plots of illustrations for the walls, designs sizes like 6, 7 metres (width), with vectors and photos (jpeg, eps files). I have no experience with Illustrator, but theres no way to create more than 577.95 files. Before we begin, I want to hear your opinion on the best Adobe software to create these illustrations of great size.

  I second that.  Configure your Illustrator file to 25%.  Your Photoshop files will be 600ppi @ 25%; If their final ppi will be 150 to 100%; for large format digital printing.  Raster/document (illustrator) settings must be defined for high resolution or custom where pixelation effects will retain their appearance when scaled by 400%.  You might be able to prepare your files @ 50%; If so, simply adjust resolutions.

  Did anyone mind take a look at these two screws? They work very well for small data sets, but they are starting to take up to 200ms each for large arrays (~ 5000 rows x 2 columns). The first actually sends data to the 2nd, so the total delay when running these screws may be 400, 500 ms. Too much to use them in real time.

  Reminder of how they are used:

  The user can click or click-and - dragging on a graph of intensity to create a card to die to test. These VI are run to update a list of that die are selected and a list of how the machine will move. In mode click - drag, these VI create a very big delay in the response of the public Service.

I can only locate on 80-100 Gigs of files, but when I try to transfer a large file - say to itunes, the system tells me that there is not enough space on the hard drive? What and how do I search for free space.
