  The virus has been removed?

  When the problem happened everything first?

  "Was" folder on the desktop? You say all
  folder is missing?

  The file might be in the trash?

  Is it possible that your files are still there but have
  become hidden?

  Reach... Control Panel / folder Options / View tab.
  ... To check "Show the hidden files and folders" / apply / OK.

  If the photo thumbs reappear... they can turn washed
  outside. To clear this up... right click a thumbnail or a
  selected (highlighted) group or folder and the
  menu... Choose... Properties, uncheck the box.
  'Hidden' / apply / OK.

  It looks like someone may have maliciously tampered with your computer.

  Take a look in your trash and see what you can find.

  I have been using Adobe voice for a few months now for work, yesterday, I disconnected my voice of adobe and update of the application itself, then after updating the app, I logged in and it only showed that I have 2 projects on it. (I think I got somewhere about 15 projects) I tried logging on several occasions and then he lost all my projects for a day. Now, there are just 20 minutes I logged again and is again show these 2 videos. I don't know what's going on, or why this happened.   I just bought an A2300 and he took on a week hiking trip in Colorado.  At the end of the trip, I took the memory card from the camera and gave it to one of the other backpackers to load my images on his Mac.   He said he saw half a dozen on the map on the .jpg files, but couldn't open them.  When he gave me the card back and I put it in the camera, the card was empty!  I had more than 100 photos on this card when I handed to him.  Now I have nothing.  Any ideas on what happened to all the files and what I can do to recover all the images?

• Lost all my shortcuts on the desktop and cannot get back them!

  Whenever I turn on my laptop, my living room of shortcuts for a few seconds, when the office, then they disappear forever once that it has finished loading!  This has happened for a few weeks now and I don't know how to fix it.  Also, when I right click on any program and try to send it on the desktop as a shortcut, it does not work, nothing happens! I tried to restore to a couple different points before the last windows update, and that didn't work either.  I also run full antivirus scans, etc & still nothing.  Help please! I want my shortcuts back!

  Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.  I hope you have a point to rstore dating back that far.

  If this does not work, go to start / computer / C:\Users\\desktop (and you may also go to C:\Users\All Users\Bureau) and see if they contain elements of your desktop.  If so, copy all files and paste them on your desktop.  You can probably rearrange, but who should return them.

  If this does not work, your user profile may be corrupted.  To fix this use http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile.  If that is the only available Administrator Profile (you need to be an administrator to fix this), enable the Hidden Administrator Account (HAA) using http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?&lang=en&cr=US&guid=&sloc=en-us&dg=microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_accounts_passwords&p=1&tid=d20f9db4-7b2c-48be-a087-7835dc2a9055&mid=d20f9db4-7b2c-48be-a087-7835dc2a9055.  If you don't remember the password, try nothing because that's probably what you (or seller) did during the installation.  Once that is done, don't forget to disable the HAA to save it in case it is necessary once again and for safety reasons (since people often try to hack into systems using this account).  Do NOT use the HAA as your administrator account because if you lose the only administrator on the system account or it is damaged again, then you're watered.

  The Games folder is the central location for all the games on your computer. If you are referring to the built-in in Windows games, the games are automatically added to the Games folder.

  Otherwise, you can turn on Windows features games and check.

  a. click the Start button, select Control Panel, click programs and then click turn on turn Windows features on or off.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  (b) to enable the games to open the games and select the checkbox next to the games.

  c. click OK.
