• I'm about to pull out my hair!

  So I have a Dell T310 8 gigas of Ram and initially, I got 500 GB mirrored set.  I added the extra set of disk of 1 TB and I can see very well in the data store and can create virtual drives.  But for the life of me I do not see it in the virtual machine, I installed the operating system is SBS STD 2008.  After searching and poking around in the Device Manager, I noticed another section of devices and the other disk identified according to me there.  I tried to delete it and restart and it will fall again to this place and see it in the management of the storage on SBS.  I went to the extent of Dell support, but only to be useless.

  The other issue I had is to install the full installation on VMWare Tools and it weighs about 1/5 of the way through it and it is there.  I tried completely removing all residual information in Program Files and the registry under software and it always does.    I believe that these two issues are related, but cannot confirm this.

  I have a SAS 6ir which is supported by VMWare, the research that I did.  Is there a way to force the drive some to get the server to see.  I can't even set up a reader 40gig on the same data store.

  I even tried to manually modify the virtual machine to add the scsi device.

  What I'm missing here.  It drives me absolutely crazy.

  I did a search the knowledge base and found an article that describes a 'inaccessible boot device' in relation to the 'virtual disk VMware SCSI Disk Device '. The steps that could be related to your question and - as you mentioned in your first post - question with VMware tools.

  Starting Monday morning, everything about this db takes orders of magnitude longer. Requests/packages are the same as they have been for months. Perceived fresh stats on the main table. Even a very simple ad-hoc query takes c. 15 seconds - even on a second run when everything should be the buffer.

  In the index above, SYS_C0014081 is a composite key 3 columns with Date_Time to put an end to the high-order (first column e index def). It is the PK of the table.
  
  Above is not the only one - and in fact nobody cares of this query itself, but it's very simple and I hope that symptomatic of the underlying problem. Another thing that I could show is much more complex. The data file is on ASM on a San.
  
  With regard to the basic question, "what has changed" the answer is--nothing on the side of the data base. Last week the SA removed some SAN disks that were no longer used. That happened Thursday, but it was Monday before some heavy work has been planned which began to cause problems.
  It's been a while loong since I had to analyze something like this, and am certainly off practice anaylizing tkprof reports... especially when it comes to judgment born of experience. to make things more difficult, statspack is broken and dbcontrol not yet configured.   Assuming the db_file_multiblock_read_count has not been set, or it is in the range 8-16 and the block size is the default 8KB and the size of the referenced table is just for the total data volume, then all the figures are probably auto-coherent and relevant to the query which is the limit about to switch between an analysis and a scan of interval.

  The system works (at uniform volume) for about 3 or 4 months - if so the downturn could simply be that the data has increased and nobody noticed that the paths were ineffective until data is a little too much to be and many cached data began to fall out of memory and be reread.

  Hi all

  Ive been working on a PC customers for some time now that is having a BSoD. The BSoD occurs only when the PC is home. I bring it back to the shop to check it out and there is never any problems. Ive run in depth material check and burn ins on various components, such as map of memory, CPU, HARD drive and the system and also to perform checks on the system globally. I do not have expenenced all the problems at all. Arghhh! I have a .dmp file but this Ant does not allow me to attach a file to the ppl check. I ran dumpchk, but could not understand what he was saying because of my lack of knowledge.

  This is a new installation of XP Pro x 64 edition. The processor is an Intel Q8400 quad core.

  You don't mention the video card, I would like to start with a new card or a video connection embedded/mobo if she a. In addition, reset your BIOS - unless you are overclocking or tweaking the memory - that could solve this problem as well. If you are overclocking, that could be a problem as well. I had a BCCODE: 109 and just ran Microsoft Update. (I use Windows 7 however).   I'm a recent user of vmware 3.5 U2 Server. I ran into this issue of networking which causes a lot of deprivation of sleep here...

  I have recently setup a host vmware running on a HP DL380. I have configured the

  Server with 2 vSwitches. The first vSwitch0 is dedicated to the management

  Console. The second vSwitch1 is attached to a vmnic1 and there are 3 comments VMs

  on this switch. Now the problem is: at some point, I have only 1 get VM one

  (Real host on the network) DHCP server IP or even if I assign the static IP of VMs they cling with

  local access only. Now, when I reboot the host and run it on any machine first he gets the address IP of DHCP, and then others are blocked.

  More that probably your Teddy bear is connected to a Cisco switchport with options like:

  switchport port-security maximum 1

  security breach port switchport protect

  What this will do, is do not allow as an active MAC on the switchport.  The first one to get in the address table is allowed to function normally and HLA wit protect option all other images are deleted.  There are also other options to stop, the port or the alert and the admin, but it seems to protect the option used on your switchport.

  You have changed it in your CSS, but you have that yourthat is overwhelming. Delete this whole section of your page and it works.

  You should also remove position: absolute of your body in the CSS file. It is not necessary.

• pulling my hair out for a signature valid pdf

  Using Acrobat 9 Pro with a new server certificate to a different certification authority that I tried to put a signature invalid in a pdf file. For some reason any acrobat gives me the "Signature is invalid" message with a red cross. When I open the Details dialog box of the certificate I see a "!" down with the message "the path of the certificate selected contains errors: invalid policy constraint. I'm not really sure what it means? the constraints are not valid? Then I read acrobat can do a log during the validation process, so I was wondering if it would help, I had something like that (I've edited a few pieces to protect my client):

  You came to the right place. Signature validation begins with trust. If you do not trust the signer, or one of the certificates in the chain of signature, then nothing happens. A signature string looks like this:

  Big Time CA root Cert

  Intermediate CA

  End entity (the signatory, or in this case, you)

  You must assign trust at least one of the certificates in the signature string. You can either add trust via the dialog manage identities approved or by a preference where you can inherit trust from the Windows certificate store (Windows only, not Mac). To see the string in the signature you want to do the following:

  • Right mouseclick on the signature
  • Select Show Signature properties in the pop-up menu
  • Click view certificate in the Signature Properties dialog box
  • The string is displayed in the tree view on the left side of the dialog box

  If you select the trust tab, and then different certificates in the output string, you will be able to see what is the anchor of trust.

  Enough confidence, to Restrictions of strategy. When a certification authority (CA) issues certificates, they will often add the certificate policy extension. You can find this by selecting the Details tab, and then scroll the list box for the certificate policies. Politics is a long number in dotted line that acts as a marker for a specific set of rules. The rules themselves tend to be published online in a "Certificate Practice Statement" document, but becomes a bit beyond the scope of your problem. The rule can mean something as all certificates under this political constraint problems are communicated to the employees of the company XYZ and must be a hardware token. This is an example of something you might see but I do not say it the exact scenario that appeal to you.

  The root CA generally do not have an extension of certificate policy, but all the certificates under it make sense that this string obeys a set of specific rules.

  On the application of the rules. Let's say you have this Big Time, which issues certificates for IBM, Microsoft, Apple and Adobe. Each of these strings contain a different certification policy. Now, let's say that I trust it Big Time, which means that each signature that created this channel until Big Time would be reliable and valid. Now let's say I want to only trust the signatures coming from my fellow Adobe employees. What I would do, is add a policy of Restriction to the trust setting, which makes the more granular trust.

  Towards the top, where is Restriction policy. The strategies on the display of the certificate tab. When you view the certificate itself that is designated as the anchor of trust do you see something in the area of Group Policy Restrictions? I mean something data in the certificate policies field edition which seems to be gray. If Yes, then the signatory certificate and other certificates in the chain must have the numbered in certificate policy Extension.

  If the restriction is there, you can remove it by going in the dialog Manage approved identities , you can get from the menu Advanced . From there, you will need to select certificates from the drop-down list display. Find the certificate that corresponds to the anchor of the trust, selected in the drop-down list, and then click Edit Trust . Finally, select the policy Restrictions on the dialog box change the Certificate Trust. However, I'm not, and advise you to break any policy of the company if they want the restriction in place.

• Pulling my hair out on questions of IE8 with the spry menu bar

  Its a story classic, but for the life of me, I can't understand this.  I saw him in a hundred different forums (all slightly different versions of the same problem).  I've implemented a menu spry horizontal bar (version 1.6.1).  It works fine in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc..., but goes nuts in IE.

  You know that your entire system is running in quirks mode, are you? AE7 is PPC and on machines intel only runs in emulation. In addition, you are severely lack of memory - 1 GB is a minimum for al llater versions of AE, but which usually refers to run "native" without any extra room for emulation. Your problem is more likely that the effect of Write-On doesn't have enough memory to cache the result if you rub. When you RAM Preview or to make, that the problem does not occur, that naturally the brush strokes are properly accumulated in order. I don't think that there is a very good way to solve this problem, with the exception of purchases of more RAM, but you can try to reduce the overall use of the AE RAM and maybe disable the hidden layer in the secret prefs (hold the SHIFT key when you enter the prefs and an additional menu entry will appear).

  This is a basic page: HERE I did use Dreamweaver 8 to insert my flash (.flv) video, select the progressive download, etc. in the insertion tool. When I try to play out of my server nothing happens but the player is here. If I "saw in the browser" locally that he plays. I'd appreciate any help!

• WiFi speed degrades over time

  This is driving me crazy!

  So, I have a reliable internet connection.  I start the speed test and get ~ 85 Mbps down.  Then slowly, it's even worse, down for like .05mpbs.  Until I turn the wifi on my computer, then it is fast again.  It can be as fast as 10 minutes - 2 hours.

  #1 idea:

  Something is sucking my internet connection.

  I used every tool under the Sun, with more success with Little Snitch.  Nothing uses my connection when it is slow.  The fan is off.  Computer does nothing.

  Something on my network is using my connection.

  Speedtest.NET my girlfriend is fast.  My iPhone is fast.  Just my computer is slow.

  I blame this on my router for centuries, but it does not explain why my girlfriend is fast.  So I bought a new router (nine Airport extreme), nothing works.

  Yet once, turn/turn on wifi it solves every time.  Right of return up to 85mpbs

  I have tried everything I can find online, and I'm about to pull the hair last out of my head.

• Mail watch trombone but no attachment to open to all icon

  Hello everyone. I'm having the time more difficult to find what is happening and after some tiring hours of surfing the web, I found nothing as my problem. So I decided to come here for help. I hope this isn't something stupid I'm just missing, but if that's the case I apologiz beforehand.

  As you can see in the following image I received an email with an attachment, as you can see on the left paper clip

  

  When I open the email said I go to the bottom of it and find no icon file to open it!

  

  As you can see for the same email, but using the Gmail app, there are four pdf files attached and, as far as I know, the pdf is a format compatible to open mail native iPhone app
